I was leaving Cogeco for Bell based in price. When I received Bell service the tv programming was horrible. Bell turned out to be more expensive for the same programming as Bell. I was with Bell for 1 day then asked Cogeco to please take me back which they did. Bell sucks.
My experience with Cogeco has been very positive. The installation process was smooth, the staff were friendly and professional, and the internet service has been fast and reliable for my daily activities, including work, studying, streaming, and video calls. Whenever I needed assistance, customer service was helpful and resolved my concerns respectfully. Overall, I am satisfied with the service and would recommend Cogeco to others.
Last month with Cogeco. Had a awful experience today attempting to pay a overdue bill. It was 3months due and I was trying to pay it but customer service went full loan shark barely letting me type then sent me to collections started making threats before that
Compared to other providers the loan shark mentality of Cogeco is crazy... I have been with them for 7YEARS....that didn't mean much when they wanted a little money

Installation was on time and went smoothly. Installer spent some time demonstrating the new remote and screen functions. Navigating the new interface took some time and practice to learn because it is very different from our old system. The 1 GBps speed is amazing, and necessary for the cloud PVR to function.

Terrible experience. I subscribed to their internet TV bundle but they didn't tell me the service would not work because I had an older computer. Then they tried to ding me for $80 to have a tech come out to my house.
It woud have been for nothing because the tech would bring his own computer, which being new, would work. I explained to them they were unable to deliver internet service, they hit me with a $125 plus disconnection fee. First I heard of it was when I started getting calls from their collections.
Steer clear of Cogeco if you have an older computer and never trust them to act in your best interest.

I only signed up online with some Yves guy on chat and he was just forgetful asking for the same info over and over. Asked me if I was sure my birthday was my birthday like I don't know when I was born. Blaming me for not calling sooner. I never planned to be with Cogeco it's only because Xplore doesn't operate where I moved to. He has no knowledge of my situation but tries to find something to turn it around on the customer and then cut the chat. I wasn't done asking questions about my new service and now there's a 50 minute wait for phone. The fact I had the old tenant's modem/router and it got cut last night he just absolutely refused to setup this one instead to ship one that'll be four to five days from now when a perfectly good piece of equipment is here ready now. I just started with Cogeco and I haven't even used the service yet and I'm not happy to be talked to in such a rude condescending way. Not impressed by the inefficiency and paying to ship two modems when no shipping was necessary and activation could've happened instantly. Update 1 week later: Still waiting for my modem/router from UPS and it's been sitting for two days in Pembroke Ontario. Not happy one bit. Just absolute nonsense after nonsense.

No internet since last evening. It is more than 12 hours. We are not getting any responses either by chat or phone. The outage notification just keeps on adding 1 hour whenever we check. We understand there was an outage yesterday due to thunder storm. But it has been more than 12 hours and no update on when the internet services will resume.

Today June 27,2026. I went to my local cogeco store. In Windsor, ON. On Dougal St. I was having difficulty with switching from Bell to Cogeco cell. One of the agents on staff, "Max" went above and beyond helping me to get set up. He never gave up, until he finally had me up and running. New Sim activated and all my settings perfect. This man deserves to be recognized as a valuable employee. I will certainly be telling everyone I know the wonderful service I received today from Cogeco. Thank you Max!

Decent internet at thrice the price of others.
Unfortunatly at my second residence they are the only provider available so I have no choice to go with them but I pay more for 120 gBps then I do for 1Giga with videotron. After that I learn that they have been raising my price by 5$ every 6 months (without warning) to 115$/month (with a "loyalty" discount of 35$) but their actual price is for the service now is 75$ with a 30$ new member discount. Honestly a completely dishonest company that takes advantage of people not looking at their bills.
