Everything about the service was great

Everything about the service was great, except for the timing.

I do miss the days when you could just pick up the phone, call someone, and they’d answer right away. That said, my service tech was very helpful, and fortunately I wasn’t in a rush this time. The system itself is frustrating, not the technicians who are working within it.

Communication was excellent, and everything went smoothly. I'm loving the new printer, and it's already been a great asset for us!

Zero stars, run away.

Zero stars. I have a laundry list of complaints. Be careful buying something here folks, I bought a package of heat press and i650 for a high price. Hasn’t had a successful print yet. Won’t print white, so nothing will marry correctly. Spent countless hours on the phone, writing emails, troubleshooting, buying endless “let’s try this” items, only to have my machine deemed defective after 6 months. You read that right. 6 months+. No customer service in the weekends or evenings. I beat my head on the wall working on a machine that wasn’t able to print right now matter what we tried — and we tried a lot. I wanted my money back, and they said it would be a 30% restocking fee (thousands of dollars), even though they sent me a busted machine. They keep blaming the printing manufacturer acting like their hands are tied with policy. Im out thousands of dollars, almost an entire year of wasted side hustle time, and they think a fair compensation for my time is a credit for some more printer toner, and not making me pay for the crate to return a defective printer to Uninet…..#winning. Seems fair, right?

Purchased a Roland Versa Studio from…

Purchased a Roland Versa Studio from Coldesi on May 5, 2025.

1. My initial point of contact was with Brittany Pyros, who demonstrated strong sales expertise. However, I found that the information she provided was not entirely accurate or transparent. I communicated my intentions and specific requirements, and she quickly confirmed that they had a product suitable for my needs. It was explained that the package included up-to-date software capable of printing and cutting on various materials. Following the purchase, she ceased responding to my inquiries, and the information she previously provided has proven to be misleading and inconsistent.
2. Mr. Brett Baines, my customer representative, was contacted multiple times regarding an incomplete order of the specified items. On each occasion, I provided photographs of the received shipments, which were delivered in three separate deliveries. When I inquired whether this method of shipping was standard, he responded that it was not and mentioned that his familiarity with the products was limited. His role appeared to be primarily to listen to my requirements and share available link resources; however, his technical knowledge of the products was lacking. While professional in manner, his lack of product knowledge was evident.
3. The setup videos for the printer were somewhat helpful; however, they were not fully up-to-date for the newer versions of Roland Versaworks printers. As a result, I engaged a technician to assist with the installation.
4. The included software, R-Works, is antiquated—last supported by Roland in 2011—and is no longer functional or supported by Roland. Despite this, Coldesi continues to promote and offer this obsolete software with minimal to no support. This perpetuates confusion and inconvenience for users.
5. Ashley McGuire, a technical support representative, attempted to assist with configuring the Versaworks printer. However, she demonstrated limited knowledge and repeatedly advised me to contact Roland’s support, because they are not tech support. Despite her efforts, the issue—getting the Versaworks printer to print—remained unresolved.
6. Coldesi's support has been insufficient. They primarily act as product resellers without providing comprehensive or hands-on technical assistance.
7. One of the wheels on my table broke. I requested a replacement set and was willing to pay for it. I received an inquiry about this issue (Brett Bains, 7/2/2025), responded accordingly, but have not received any more contacted regarding this matter.
8. I discovered that Adobe Illustrator, which was recommended by Coldesi was not compatible with Roland Versaworks. I spent over seven hours communicating with Adobe Technical support over multiple sessions, but the issue persisted. Adobe Techs said over and over it was not possible. There are few videos on Versaworks 7 & Adobe Illustrator.
9. I had the opportunity to connect, a representative from Roland, who provided valuable assistance. We initially discussed and tried R-Works, which I learned is no longer supported by Roland. Through ongoing communication via email and phone, he recommended CorelDRAW as an alternative, following some challenges experienced with Adobe Illustrator. I purchased CorelDraw 6/2/2025 ($549). With his expert guidance and support, it has been determined that CorelDRAW is compatible with Versaworks 7. As a result, my printer is now operating correctly for both printing and cutting tasks.

10. From the date of purchase to July 3, 2025, I have not received proper guidance or support from Coldesi regarding the setup or use of my printer. Overall, Coldesi’s customer support has been extremely inadequate.

Coldesi is probably one of the worst…

Coldesi is probably one of the worst companies that we have ever had to deal with!

We had a yearlong ticket with them. Their Tech’s (if you can even call them that since they did not seem to know much of anything) would troubleshoot, tell us what parts to order, then boom same issue again, or sadly we gained even new issues and error codes. This resulted in MORE PARTS we had to order (according to their “wizards”)!

They never had a real answer or solution to solve any issue with our expensive machine.

These people are completely unresponsive. They do not respond to emails or phone calls, the only way to get a response from someone is to create a new service ticket. Some of our messages went days without responses. They also lie when they say they will call you back and then never do!

By the end of this horrible adventure, they told us to bring the printer to them, a 8-hour drive round trip to Clearwater, FL (16 hours for drop off and pickup). The agreement was to pay a diagnostic fee and that would test the internal components and find the broken part since they had all the parts there. Then, they would tell us which part was broken, so we could replace and pay for that part.

Two weeks into having the machine they sent an email saying they had tested a few parts, the mainboard, printhead, etc and they were all fine according to them, and that they were having issues locating the problem. 2 DAYS later they emailed saying we needed to replace the same parts they said tested fine! They sent us an Invoice for parts they stated were fines and wanted us to replace the. This was almost $9000! You should know that prior to the drop off we spent more than $2300 on parts they told us to replace and new ink for the machine.

So, in the end these people are just scammers trying to get us to buy all these expensive overpriced parts and even then, told us that they can't guarantee that this will fix the problem. This is the most asinine thing we have ever heard of! So, we had to decline this of course and drive back and get our broken printer.

The only people that are nice and helpful were te 2 gentlemen from the receiving department that helped us secure the printer to the trailer. The techs and the manager at Coldesi are the most unprofessional, and horrible people you can ever deal with!

We want to warn everyone out there that DO NOT buy any products sold by Coldesi! They really do not have any techs there locally and they must relay everything to the manufacturer in Australia because they do not know how to fix the products they sell. If you look on ebay you will see dozens of people selling these garbage UV printers that cost $50K new, for $2000-8500. Most are broken or need parts. I’m sure a lot of these people went through what we went through and just gave up and are selling these expensive machines for parts only. Coldesi is just an awful company and people need to know what to expect if you buy from them.

Run away from ColDesi Brands

This is a friendly invite to run away from ColDesi as fast as possible when it comes to buying their branded products, namely the G4 or DTF 4/2 head systems.

After 3 years of G4 hell, followed by a limping at best, overpriced (gouged us greatly for a base model) DTF 4 head setup - our business and family has seriously suffered trying to rely on the advertised output, "low maintenance", & reliability of these machines.

Run away from ColDesi branded products. Run away.

ColDesi branded machines are not reliable, do not meet the output (or even close to it) advertised, and this is from 3 years of hands on experience with 4 Coldesi branded machines, failed promises, ad hominem emotional attempts at manipulation from COO, holding hostage our printer until we signed an agreement not to "tattle" so to speak, take down our popular honest review on youtube, and force banned quietly from support groups when we first starting having issues (not just us, but a growing number of us).

If you have an issue, you will be banned from their facebook "support" group without notice. Happened to me and now dozens of others gathering together, suffering similarly with namely the G4.

These are documented facts, not emotional reactions. Don't use ColDesi branded products. Don't hold your dreams hostage with a ColDesi machine.

Great people work at ColDesi, this is true, but their brand & how they have treated the paying customers in the end is not something you want to deal with, pay for, or rely upon.

Just don't. So many of us paid the price so you don't have to. Run away from the G4, DTF, and any Coldesi brand at that, as its been that bad.
