Just one negative....Buyers Fee.

So high that most buyers will deduct the cost from their maximum bid price as I do.

A fairer structure would be a commission/buyers fee shared equally twixt buyer & seller.

The platform has matured well - good strategies to improve bidding activity and accurate understanding of fair reserve price vs previously it seemed like they were advising vendors to set low reserves to maximize turnover. Also very helpful throughout the process by phoning and providing regular updates and guidance throughout the auction and post-transaction support.

I've used CC many times over the years, both for buying and selling, and it's generally an enjoyable experience!

Straightforward and professional way to sell a specialist, rare or classic car. For the seller the only upfront cost is the photography which is clearly essential and the photos of my car including interior, exterior and all documents were fantastic. During the sale process a fair reserve was agreed and discussions around a reduction in the light of demand in the closing minutes were helpful and professional and I felt fully in control.

Recently sold my car from New Zealand through Jarrod and collectingcars.com and the whole process was excellent. Dealing with Jarrod via phone and email was easy and I found him always available with a friendly and considerate manner when I had a question re the sale. I sold the car in my first seven day auction and achieved an excellent price of which I kept the lot no commission. My car went to Australia from NZ and there was quite a bit of work after the auction to help the buyer get the car there so be prepared for that if the buyer is overseas, you need to always be available and willing to help the purchaser well after the sale is over.
