I'm giving 2 stars because the repair …

I'm giving 2 stars because the repair guy was great. The customer service was crap and it's taken 2 weeks for them to get someone out here to get the cable working properly. It's still not working properly and when I ask for a credit they tell me that my internet is working so they still have to bill me but they can give me a $75 credit. The monthly bill for everything is $325 and only the internet works. I guess internet is the $250 of the bill even though it is billed at $79 on the bill itself. They have a good monopoly going so I just have to bend over and take it!

After 2 years all I get offered is a higher price!

I have been with them 2 years and my contract is up for renewal. There are so many choices - far less expensive choices - so I called to get a better deal. After 2 years with them - paying more than I should to rent their equipment - the best that they could do is raise my price. I was flabbergasted. I was.. WAS... a happy customer. I am kind of hurt that my business was not worth a slightly better price

Customer service is a crap shoot.

The results you get with customer service is a real crap shoot. One call you get someone that is actually helpful, next call you get someone that gives you a lot of BS. Luck of the draw.

Almost burnt down my home!

They had someone who had to call someone else to find out how to install my service first off and then he installed an amplifier and after a week it started smoking! The cable wires were on fire and melting! When my boyfriend tried to unhook it it sent a surge throughout my house which fried my oven and microwave.we called twice and both times they to our "incident report" and said a supervisor will be in touch with us within TWO weeks. And we still haven't heard a word back from them. We had to replace both out of our own pocket and they say we owe 400 dollars for their equipment! They are a bunch of bull hockey!

Hidden and undisclosed fees

After 4 monnths of paying about $150 per month for a package with many HD channels Comcast suddenly switched off my HD, so I could only see SD any more. Customer service remained stubborn and required an additional fee of $9.55/month, saying the HD channels had bees made available "in error".
Nowhere in the advertising or in the contract it was mentioned that HD requires an additional fee.
This is a fraudulent blackmailing method to increase revenue without changing the official published prices.
Unfortunately Cable Companies created a system of local monopolies with the intention to overcharge customers. A case for the Antitrust Division of the FTC!

Horrible Customer Service

The equipment and services that Comcast have are really good but their customer service has gone waaaaayyyyy downhill. I've been a customer since 2008. No one seems to know what is going on. They have way to many offices and they are not being trained the same. I just spent the past two weeks on a run around talking to way too many people for what I wanted to be done. Before NBC got involved, their customer service was excellent. I was happy. But after NBC bought them, it went downhill. If they could get their act together and everyone could get on the same page, I would recommend them. Xfinity is great, their new DVR talk into your remote is awesome. If anyone from Comcast reads this, please get your Customer Service in order.

Always a reason to hate them

Comcast consistently plays games with billing, denies service outages, and as a whole is inconsistent despite my node being rather empty.

Bad business practices will hopefully one day kill this company, but until then a 1 star review is the best I can do.
