BEWARE!!!!

BEWARE!!!!! Regrettably signed up for an ULTA Beauty rewards credit card and immediately began having issues dealing with comenity bank. Attempted to pay off the balance in full the same day I opened the account, so I could avoid paying interest. Could not register my account online, called customer service and was told I would have to wait 10 days to verify my email, but in the meantime I could do the easypay option to pay off the balance. So that’s exactly what I did, paid off the balance and then attempted to register my account again after 10 days. I entered my checking account information and set up auto pay for future payments, and lo and behold a week later I had an email saying my account was past due. Immediately called customer service again and was told I was charged a late fee of $30 because of an undisclosed fee (on a $0 balance). Was also told I have to wait 10 days (again) to verify my email so I can access my account online, AND auto pay was mysteriously canceled without my consent or knowledge. These people are SCAMMERS!!! I will be closing the account tomorrow morning.

This bank is a scam

This bank is a scam, horrible customer service, I did the payment on time online, they never tried to collect it from my bank, customer service staff very unprofessional, and I tried to close the account, and I need to pay the debt in order to close the account.
I will pay what I owe to them, but never ever use this card again, VERY DISAPOINTED.

No customer loyalty

I had my Victoria Secret card for almost 20 years. I didn’t use my card for about a year due to a female related illness- no point in buying underwear just for it to be ruined. I’m in remission and went to buy all new underwear. When I tried to pay, I found my card had been cancelled for inactivity?!?! I had even called to request, and had received, a new card a few weeks prior. No warning, or any notification the account was at risk of being closed. I tried to call customer service. They require you to enter your card number to proceed. I couldn’t get beyond the prompts for assistance because when I entered my account, I would get an automated message my account was closed and they’d hang up. Very frustrating and disappointing.

If there is 0 star

If there is 0 star, then that's their rating. I used their credit card to purchase online. When I sent my payment by mail a week before the due date, I was told that it was received 2 days late. I was charged a late charge of about $30. Then the next month, I was charged more fees $40 and another late charge. I paid more in late charges and other fees than the purchase itself. Never using them again.

Comenity Bank letter SCAM!

Comenity Bank sent me a letter saying I tried to set up a Victorias Secret Mastercard with them. I did NOT, and no other family member did either. I found online that this is a COMMON SCAM Comenity Bank dies, they have done it to many others, and I will be pursuing a class action suit which I believe is ongoing. Comenity Bank says they pulled my credit report on May 1 2025, which I did NOT authorize and which MAY affect my credit ratings. Which is a harm. Comenity is obviously purchasing DARK WEB DATA to harass innocent people. They must be STOPPED and PENALIZED for this ILLEGAL behavior.

Bad experience with Comenity Bank – hidden charges and no accountability

I signed up for a Michaels credit card, managed by Comenity Bank, and had a really disappointing experience. After being approved, I never received the card or account information. Even though I had no way to access my account, late fees and interest charges started showing up right away.

I made a minimum payment just to avoid further penalties, but by the time the card finally arrived, three months of interest had already been charged. When I called to explain the situation, Comenity Bank refused to reverse any of the interest charges — even though the delays were clearly not my fault. To their credit, they did reverse the late fee but had no ability to reverse the interest.

IMO, a good bank would have offered a simple courtesy adjustment. Instead, Comenity made me pay for an account I wasn’t even able to use yet.

Very disappointing. I would not recommend working with Comenity Bank.

I paid my full balance due on the due…

I paid my full balance due on the due date which then I had a zero balance. Three days later they charged interest on the zero balance. After a heated phone call they finally removed it. Also, anytime I attempt to log in to my account it says my information is incorrect. Comenity is not an ethical business.

RUN!! I would give it a zero if it was an option. NO customer service by phone or online chat. The website is NOT user friendly. As a matter of fact, it is the most cumbersome, non-intuitive website that I have ever encountered.

TERRIBLE!! 265% fees & charges from a $53 Purchase???

If I could, they deserve 0 stars!!! I had a Sally's Beauty card backed by #ComenityBank and charged a whopping $53 on the account, which all bills are AUTO PAY. I lost and replaced a debit card and after 2 MONTHS had NO NOTICE from them of late fees and charges that totaled OVER $200!! This is IN ADDITION to my small purchase. I contacted them and explained, and they refused to credit back even ONE DOLLAR, so I have made payments of over $125 now and STILL OWE $146!! If I had taken the time to read the #reviews for this #SallysCard from #ComenityBank, I would have NEVER USED THIS CARD! And for what REWARDS, psshtt!! PLEASE!!! DO NOT USE THIS BANK EVER. I have been charged well over 38% interest and the fees added on make it exceed 265% - I have filed complaints with the CFPB and am working now on an arbitration suit with #FairShake. Their practices are SAD in our economy, DONT DO BIZ WITH THEM< EVER!! Their reviews prove what their bank cares about and they won't be in business much longer with this type of loan sharking deceit being their mission statement!

Hardrock casino is peddling this credit…

Hardrock casino is peddling this credit card as a promotion to their patrons. I signed up, got approved, was handed my credit limit and APR and a disclosure brochurefrom a Players Club employee. I was then told to proceed to the cashier to retrieve my new credit card. I was told it was activated and can use it immediately (wrong!). I called customer care 3 x that same day to try to get information on this new card: my questions were, do i need to activate the card? do you have an app? Where do I get a pin? Do you offer cash advances? I got 3 different answers from 3 different males with very a heavy dialect that I had a hard time understanding. No one could help me. I was told a pin should have been in an envelope at the time the casino produced my plastic card, I was told I needed to wait 24 hours to have my registration on their website to take affect, I was told there was no cash advance feature, but another rep said there was...20% of the credit line.
That was day one, the following day on Saturday I called back because the card was declined at the ATM and was locked. The cashier supervisor was surprised the card transaction was declined at the cage since a pin number was not needed. I proceeded to call 2x to customer service at the credit card bank and was told the card was too new, the card was locked, and my registration info on the comenitydotnet/Hardrock was invalid. So, my credit file has an inquiry to some unknown bank that produces credit cards to businesses but with no support, no answers and very very uninformed players club employees that are pushing these cards with a bank with HORRENDOUS ratings!! I am reporting this to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

SAKS run from COMENITY/BREAD they are really BAD

Saks changed CC Processors to Comenity/Bread.
RUN/CANCEL - DO NOT WALK AWAY!!!!!
Never had any probs w/ Cap1 - the OLD processor.
DECEPTIVE - Wanted $2.99 for mailed statements on the ACTIVATION site for SAKS - w/o saying SAKS customers will NOT be charged for mailed statements. The card they sent was faulty...would not work 3X after activation. 45 Minute phonecall to get them to send a new card for the defective one.... I later read Comenity/Bread reviews and decided to CANCEL the card... I called to cancel, requesting a "CANCELLED" letter. My acct is STILL OPEN...I have ALSO sent "SECURE MSSG"s under the "CLOSING ACCT" category..

New Saks online credit card payment interface is user unfriendly.

I am very distressed that Saks has hired Comenity/Bread Financial to handle the Saks World Elite Mastercard accounts. Online bill payments were much easier and user friendly when Elan managed the payments. I could pay my bill in a minute. It took me 20 minutes to pay my current bill. Round and round I went, with demands from Comenity that I update my perfectly good email address. The problem was apparently special characters that did not show up on my screen! The new interface is complicated and AWFUL. I fear what is to come from this new alliance.

Comenity bank are crooks

They are horrible; I still have to deal with them even after I closed my account because they keep applying a substantial late fee on a zero balance. Their website is not user-friendly, and neither is their customer service; they just repetitively recite policy. Do not engage with the Comenity dance; the 20% is not worth the headaches.

I as of today have suddenly been...

I as of today have suddenly been charged a $487.77 interest fee on $600 balance without notification. I have not been able to access the card that floor and decor stopped using while I had a balance on it so I have not been able to pay it off as per usual. It will only take the minimum due auto draft. I can't access anything, it won't another to card exists and tried to only get me to sign up for a new one. They were of zero help to me and said they would not reverse the charge and that they sent emails I never received. This is fraud to not allow me to access the portal to pay off before the year end. It's entrapment and shady. This is the first time I was able to get ahold of a human being and they took zero accountability for trapping me so they could take advantage. Do not ever use Comenity Bank for anything. They lie and cheat and take all your power to make double payments or pay off the balance in full as I always have. This is horrible business and they will take advantage of you!!!!!!

AAA betrayed us by selling their credit…

AAA betrayed us by selling their credit cards to Comenity "Bank." I put a small charge on the card to keep it active and should have just let it lapse. The website didn't work properly and wouldn't add my payment info, so I was a day late paying it and there was a $25 fee. I am NEVER late on anything, so called them to tell them I would cancel the card, but the customer "service" rep said they would take off the fee next statement. Surprise, surprise, it's not gone. I have tried to call their customer "service" number and get transferred to dead air. Somehow I don't think anyone is there. I just want to cancel the card but I object to paying a $25 fee because their website didn't work properly. However it might be worth it just to get rid of them forever. I somehow doubt I will ever hear from them. My phone has been on dead air for over 17 minutes now.

Unethical and Fraudulently charged late fees

I bought my house in October 2020 and tried to change my address with Comenity bank for my credit card several times. I called and wrote the new address on my payment stub. Still they would not change the address.

I paid off my credit card account in full with Comenity Bank at the Lane Bryant store because I was not getting my statement. Comenity Bank charged me a $9.52 late fee. It was not my fault the payment didn't arrive at the bank on time. Maybe there is a flaw in their system!

When I contacted Comenity Bank, they would not waive the fee, and they continued to charge me late fees on the $9.52. They would not work with me because they said the $254.03 had been turned over to collections. I do not even owe this debt, and it is continuing to affect my credit score to the point where my home insurance doubled and is now $450 more a year.

I'm sorry, but this is a fraudulent charge to me, and Comenity Bank has unethical business practices.

This bank harassed me to pay it, they made collection calls and have been rude and distrustful even though I paid my account in full and closed the account.

Comenity Co Bogus…

Comenity is the worst credit card company in our country. When you call for information, you can only speak to a person who speaks very broken English.

I never even received a credit card from them, but I kept receiving bills with added service fees. They kept sending bills on two different credit card numbers.

By phone, I canceled whatever card they assigned me, but their computer system keeps adding more service fees and interest on a card I NEVER RECEIVED!
I have written three letters explaining this problem to this company but never receive a response!

I will not pay this bill; it is for a bogus account listing a bogus card, from a very disreputable company.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
