I parked my car in hight street nottingham. The kiosk did not work. So I downloaded this app and the interview of the app was stuck after the OTP sent, I punched in the OTP but the interview has no "enter button, it was just stuck there. I called the customer support and I needed to do the web version on the mobile. The size of the interface was so small so I gave up and parked somewhere else.
It is faulty and I will do my best to send the message to city council to not to recommend this app to the public.

After walking around for sometime to get a phone signal I downloaded the app but couldn't proceed to payment as I didn't receive a code via text after several attempts. After 12 minutes I left and have now received a parking fine for not purchasing a ticket.

Total rubbish

Total rubbish. The coin machines are powered off to save electricity so it's not £1.50 to park, it's £1.50 + .20 inconvenience fee

Wakefield Smyth Street 21/12/2024

Wakefield Smyth Street 21/12/2024
ticket machines out of order and long line of angry motorists trying to pay.

I went through the process of creating an account with connectcashless and got as far as authorising the payment through my bank, but payment app wouldn't accept the payment and I went through this loop several times...no confirmation text or email received from the app, despite the account registering. Now have the worry about who has all my details/bank account as the whole process felt like a scam. Don't rely on 'late pay' either, as Smyth St not listed. Avoid parking here

Frustrating and Useless

Want to give zero but could not. Went to park at Solihull Station. Spent the whole train journey trying to understand and to get the app to work and pay. Frustrating and useless. Returned to car to a queue of people standing in the cold paying by card, thankfully not raining.

IFrustrating, stressfull and seems to advocate drink driving!

If I could given this company a zero star review I would, absolutely awful experience which ruined the first hour and half of an evening out.

I parked my car, went to pay, to find the machine broken. So I down loaded the app, attempted 3 times to pay, each time I got "please wait" while watching the circle go round and round and round, before I received "payment failed" notification.

I then rang the company, after a further four failed attempts to pay on the website, by now close to an hour had elapsed from parking my car "I was told you need to move your car or you'll be fined" I explained that because I'd had a glass of wine, I couldn't move my car, though I may still have been under the drink drive limit, I drive for a living, I've seen first hand the devastation drink driving caues and finally I would never drive after having a drink. I

I explained this to her and that my friend doesn't have a driving licence, however no offer of being able to pay it over the phone, I was told simply "you need to move your car, despite explained that it wasn't possible.

Eventually after an hour and half, over 20 attempts, amd a great deal of frustration and stress, by both me and my friend, it did finally accept payment,

Very poor payment app

Very poor payment app. Parked in an Excel car park in Wakefield in October half term. Took ages to download app, register details etc. I had to approve payment in banking app, went back into Connect cashless app and it would not send my payment through. Kept trying, no luck. No other means of paying as the only pay machine was out of order. Got a £100 fine, totally unfair and a deliberate ploy to rip people off! Avoid!

Parked in Wakefield CP

Parked in Wakefield CP. Used the online payment system which took £3 without checking my car reg or location!! Then i was contacted by my bank 4 days later to let me know they had stopped a payment from my bank by this company for a parking 'subscription' of £44.90. Absolute disgrace. Avoid at all costs. Take the bus!

App is not working and can't make online payment.
Call the customer service and wait for 15 minutes transfer to an automated service and it was a very long number to remember and text the Reg number. Wanted my lunch break without any answer.

Very stressful experience

I parked at Solihull station with plenty of time to pay for parking and catch my train. Unfortunately, both pay machines were not working. Couldn’t recognise vehicle registration but when it did you couldn’t progress to pay. Finally tried to phone but unable to pay immediately. I was put through to automated voice which asked for vehicle Reg to be sent to a very long text number. In the end went to catch my train. I then spent an hour on the train trying to pay on the website. The text message number did not work and it took several attempts on the website to pay as kept saying payment unsuccessful.
I will have to continue to use this car park as there is no where else close but really the service is appalling. I had to persevere because I know these parking companies slap huge fines on you. I do think the government should do something about this huge problem.

Avoid 5143 Broomhill - doesn't work & hit with £100 fine.

5143 Broomhill Rooftop Car Park Sheffield

After a very slow connection the app downloaded, but was unable to register the account due to a 'Network Error' and it advised I try again, only to achieve the same results. My partner tried with her phone as she is on a different network, but was also unable to register her account due to a 'Network Error' so we left as there was no other means of paying. (The signs suggested we could pay at the Parking Meter, only there were none at all.) After which, we've been hit with a £100 fine!

We tried to pay in good faith, but were repeatedly denied and are being punished and fined as a result.

Earlsden Park 5321 - Don't park

I wish I had read reviews before parking at Earlsden. Visited Coventry for 2 days. Paid for first 24 hours at the pay machine. Downloaded the App so that I could pay for the following 24 hours because I was not going to be near the car park the following day. Tried to pay via the app with the debit card already stored but payment declined. Tried 3 more cards and everytime stated payment declined. No human to speak to and automated message said to call number on car park board 01142617111. Told that there is an issue with the App and to go through RingGo to pay. Payment made through RingGo albeit 50 mins gap from old ticket to new ticket due to no fault of my own but rather a useless App. Lodged 2 'contact us' ref 472231, no response after 24 hours. Useless service and clearly only focussed on trying to earn money through fines. disgusting service.

Avoid

Avoid. Downloaded app. Parked at Fraisthorpe Beach carpark. There is supposed to be vehicle reg recognition. Also says payment can take uo to 3 weeks to go through. So unless you check everyday you assume payment has been collected. Not so. Payment not taken and you get the blame and a £60 fine. Complete rip off by the app providers and Fraisthorpe Beach who won't listen to an appeal and use this useless app

Parked at Broomhill rooftop cat…

Parked at Broomhill rooftop cat parking, Sheffield atv3 pm on the 28th May. Unable to pay by phone as the system would not recognise my previously stored card?
Called help line to be told to go on line. Unable to navigate Web site on phone as it was a desk top site and my screen was small. Unable to find a place to pay on line J sent a message to explain the situation and syasd the time and how long I would be parked. Came back later and sent a second message with departure time.
Found out late that they had my wrong reg number dispute previously parking hear with car. I am unable to speak to a human to sort this out. I just want to pay what I owe and avoid the fine.

Whiston Hospital car park.

We had been in A & E for 8 hours, and came out at 12.30am. We went straight home, and paid the car park charge online at lunchtime the same day. The payment was accepted. Then 2 weeks later I received a parking fine. I appealed, saying that the payment had been accepted, and sent 2 photos as evidence, but they replied saying that they "did not believe the payment had come from Connect Cashless Parking." I was told I could appeal independently, but when I tried the site for doing it, I got a message saying they didn't recognise the car registration number. There is no direct number to talk to anyone personally. It seems to me like they have you over a barrel.

Catch-22 against Loyal Customers

We have used this car park to commute from the adjacent Waterbeach railway station for 17 years; we use the App almost daily. Yesterday I was not offered 'Repeat Parking' and told that the car-park does not exist. The name and codes come up as invalid. I cannot therefore submit any query about this. Any 'officers' turn up without uniform in unmarked vehicles. There is no clear or legitimate way, therefore, to ask for reasonable help or explanation. We are loyal customers: we would like help and explanations, please.

Don’t park (5321) Earlsdon Park

Absolutely atrocious system to use.

It does clearly say cash only, but all machines have card readers on.

Tried using a machine, didn’t recognise my reg, call the phone number, didn’t recognise the car park, used the app, error code would let me passed the second screen. Tried the app complete nightmare, didn’t recognise the reg. called the centre number (0114 261 7111) told nothing they could do and wait for a ticket which I could appeal!

Total disgrace of a set up, clearly in it to generate money via fines rather than look after the car parks & its users, who they evidently have no thought or care for!

Woolwich car park

Parked in Woolwich car park and attempted to pay for stay on app which kept on going to error , then tried to pay by phone and again not able to pay. Left car park and found alternative parking without realising I had exceeded their grace period, received their charge and appealed to no avail after showing proof of trying to contact by phone for payment, no reasonableness shown by this company at all , bunch of outlaws who make money from the misfortune of others, already deleted the app and will avoid their car parks at all costs
