The support went well
The support went well, but the process wasn't so great! Some of your emails ended up in spam, and this time the email informing you of an increase did. When the payment reminder arrived, I saw the old price in my account session, and the first support contact told me it was an email error and to ignore it. Just four days earlier, after another reminder, I was told there had been an increase, and only then did I see the updated price. You should probably check that when you send a reminder, the user session should display the current prices, not the old ones!

Offers quick setup of VPS
Offers quick setup of VPS. Also custom image is a big plus. Further more the firewall feature is now also great to have. Only thing i am missing is ARM64 based VPS for iot/embedded development/testing.

Cheap but good VPS offerings, good uptime/availability. Recently also took a subscription for a storage container to backup parts of my home NAS. Works great. Maybe less suitable for running gameservers, at least for Rust the cpu power (clock frequency) seems a bit too weak.

The problems already start during the setup – specifically with the password creation.
I spent over 25 minutes on a Zoom call with an IT specialist trying to enter a valid password according to the given rules. No success.
We even used external tools to generate passwords that fully meet the requirements – still no chance. The system simply does not accept them.
I have rarely experienced something like this. If the registration process is already this complicated and unreliable, it raises serious concerns about the rest of the platform.
This is extremely frustrating for users and far from being user-friendly.
Conclusion: Overcomplicated, not user-friendly – definitely not recommended in its current state.

Very nice customer service, easy UI, and reliable hardware. It has never gone down for me in 2 years. The only downside, I think, is the lack of good GPUs.

I've not had any trouble with the uptime of their vps services, every now and then i do get slightly higher ping then desired but nothing too terrible.
The only thing i'm missing is the ability to download a backup of my vps to myself locally instead of having to pay to use their managed backup service

Mixed feelings - great but pricey without discounts
Great: quality of servers, tech support, additional locations, price (ONLY IF DISCOUNTED)
Bad: PRICE (without discount, they also increase it periodically), no free auto-backups nor snapshots (you either pay or face the fact you automatize it yourself or do it manually)
EDIT: I got contacted by Gil from Contabo's Customer Service, I passed him my concerns, hopefully they can be resolved for all of us!

The reactivation fee that you are referring to is being automatically applied in case of non-payment, but there are a few ways to prevent it, for example, topping up your account balance in advance, ensure that your credit card has sufficient balance, prepay or prolong, or even request a grace period if you recognize a potential payment issue.
