I purchased an advance unattended cremation package to make life as simple as possible for my executors. Hopefully it won’t be needed for many years but I trust the Coop not to go out of business in that time. The process was simple and I got a member discount. The product is exactly what I want, as I unfortunately know from experience.

My needs were taken care of by some very kind staff. I have used Coop funeral services for all of my family funerals and have always been satisfied with the way they handle them.

Friendly responses to visits to premises. Guidance through form filling was excellent.
A personal service from a local undertaker, highly recommended.

Very easy site to navigate, every thing fully explained, would definitely recommend The Co-Op for Funeral Plans.

Looked at the plans online to decide which plan I wanted. Phoned the customer service team James talked me through the process and explained everything that I needed to know, once I was satisfied with the info he went through the secure payment process and explained that I would get all the paperwork via email and by post.

Kindness, understanding, no rushing to complete documents, but very thorough. I was allowed time to make my own contribution and write up my own wishes.
I have already recommended the Co-Op to other people.

Super easy to book. Had just what we both want, no frills! Very reasonable rates. Thoroughly recommend, and told my sister about the service and she booked her funeral the very next day!

Absolutely disgusting funeral directors avoid at all cost necessary unless you enjoy being treated like crap and made more upset from start to finish me and my family had nothing but upset
To the point of my late father being collected and brung into there care so we could view him to the point of no communication what so ever then a damaged casket when we did finally see him it's just been heart breaking and stressful now the tip of the iceberg we requested a lock of he's hair and they have now told us this was misplaced absolutely disgusting from the coop this is something we will never get back as a family who are already grieving this has made it far worse for our mental state coop your an absolute disgrace!!!!!

The funeral director who organised my Mum's funeral was Megan at Co-op Funeralcare Shipley. She was fantastic all the way through. She listened, not only to what I wanted but also paid attention to how I wanted to be treated. She was clear and direct with everything she told me and came across as extremely warm and friendly. On the day of the funeral, I had huge confidence in her and the team and they were incredibly kind and respectful with all of my family. I hope I don't need their services again anytime soon but I would wholeheartedly recommend Megan and the team in Shipley to anyone who does.

My mum passed away in December 2025 her body went to co-op funeral care . I produced the will my mum made in 2024. Then 24hrs later another will appeard . Co-op refused to show this will to a executor named on it . The other executor took control & went against all my mums wishes & co-op failed to help us
