XXL smoker
Never 100% sure what you are getting buying online but this does not disappoint. Very well manufactured and looks decent. Plenty of room to cook and got the flat plate in the bundle. Delivery was easy and on the day I specified. Just need some sun now!!

Great speedy customer service
Ordered the product via the B&Q website. The item was delivered on time, without any hassle.
One of the items was faulty, the team was accessible via email and WhatsApp. I contacted the team via WhatsApp to flag the issues, within 3 business days they investigated it and were able to reorder a replacement item from their supplier.
Just hoping the BBQ lives up the customer service :-)

I've had my Cosmo BBQ for about 2 years…
I've had my Cosmo BBQ for about 2 years when a fault occurred which I thought was terminal. Spoke to their agent who suggested sending a video of the problem via WhatsApp. I received a reply almost instantly from their agent Zandra to try a new regulator which fixed my problem. If your looking for a new BBQ look at CosmoGrill you won't be disappointed and the after care service is stunning.

One of best BBQs
The CosmoGrill XL Charchoal BBQ is one of best one that I assembled and used.
The main feature(and very rare!) that I love it is the ability to move the tray with charcoal up and down as required, via a rotating lever, ensuring your food is perfectly cooked.
Also it has a built in thermometer, smoker cover, side tables that can be folded for storage and the ash tray that is removable for easy cleaning.
In term of accessories you can buy cast iron grills for it as well as a heavy duty water cover. Cheaper if you buy it as a package all 3 together.

Excellent service and the combi fuel grill I bought is fantastic. The side burner hob was a fantastic touch.
Only downside was that I bought it so late into the summer I didn’t get to use it more.

The grill looks like a 5-star grill BUT
8The grill looks like a 5-star grill, but it really deserves no more than a 3. The metal is thin, probably less than 1 mm. But I didn't measure it to be precise. It's clear that the heat will burn through it quickly. The paint bubbled and peeled from the heat on the very first day. Even the meat tasted like chemical paint. It was inedible. I had to thoroughly sear the grill without the meat first, and then grill the meat. The second time, the meat didn't have the chemical taste. But I'm not sure that the chemicals didn't get on the meat again.
I should have bought a simple 3 mm stainless steel grill for the same price, not this "junk in a shiny wrapper." It would have lasted longer and been more reliable. But I read good reviews and believed in the CosmoGrill.
Analyzing the 5-star reviews now, I see that they're mostly from people who bought the grill but haven't used it yet. If I ask them again, I doubt their reviews will be as glowing. I'll never buy a grill like this again, whether it's a CosmoGrill or anything else. It's better to find a smaller size made of stainless steel. It'll last longer and won't leave as many chemicals on your food. Why do you even paint it? To hide how cheap it is?
It's a shame I can't add a photo to my review.

All of our barbecues go through strict quality checks with our supplier before dispatch; however, in rare cases, an oversight during packing, handling, or initial use can occur, and I apologise if this affected your experience. We completely understand how concerning it would have been to notice the paint reacting to heat and to feel unsure about using the grill again.
To answer your question about why the grill is painted, the coating is applied to protect the steel from corrosion and weather exposure during normal use and storage. As with most steel barbecues, a proper initial burn-in is recommended before cooking, which helps remove any residues from manufacturing and curing. Your comments suggest this process was not as clear or effective as it should have been, and that feedback is important for us to review.
Your points around materials, first use, and long-term durability have been noted and shared internally. Feedback like yours helps us assess how products perform in real-world use and where clearer guidance or improvements may be needed.

Heavy well made bbq and smoker! Just right for the 2 of us, but also big enough if the family come round. Bought the smoker box with it. Very reasonable price. Bought for a present, so not yet used, but very happy with it. Quick delivery before Christmas. Would recommend these products.
