I've been wearing nothing but Costa's for more than 15 years. The glass are top notch and they stand behind their products. If I ever have a problem, which has been rare, they take good care of me. I couldn't be more pleased with both the glasses and the company.

fog way too easy if you get out of your vehicle from the air conditioner into the sun they automatically fog up not worth $300 especially for a law enforcement that has to get out of their vehicle quickly no bueno

I submitted a warranty claim after my frame broke during normal use. My claim was initially denied because I didn’t have proof of purchase since the sunglasses were a gift. After I obtained and submitted proof from Macy’s (10/24), the reason for denial changed to “not a manufacturing defect.” I was disappointed with both the warranty process and the outcome. I’ll be buying Smith Optics from now on.

Absolute junk, I bought a set of Ballast model about 3 months ago. Both of the lenses developed stress cracks from where the screws were from either over torquing the frames, or faulty weak lenses. I brought them back and they told me to pound sand, only have a 30 day warranty. And on top of it, if I wanted to buy replacement lenses, they were on backorder. Probably from everyone else's cracking as well. Don't waste your money

Zero accountability for sub par product longevity. My latest pair of glasses purchased 2 months ago are already broke the nose pads are falling off and the frame screws are rusting. I attached my proof of purchase and they want me to pay the same price I paid for a new pair. I could understand if they were 2 years old not 2 months. Terrible service and product anymore from Costa. I am taking my business elsewhere and suggest you do too!

I have been a Costa customer for years and have had the same type of sunglasses for just as long. They are generally good sunglasses, yet they always cracked after a time, where the lens attached to the frame and nosepiece. I've never had an issue with their repairs/warranty service before this year. Now, even though I purchased a pair of sunglasses directly through Costa to replace a pair that were out of warranty, I was told that only one warranty option would apply. Namely, that the pair I replaced at full price was not covered by warranty because I had purchased my current pair as part of a warranty return. I was offered a 'discount code' but was told that I could not initiate a warranty request. So essentially I bought a pair of Costas without a warranty; however, this was never explained to me until I needed warranty service. Well, too bad; Maui Jim is my other sunglasses provider, and although they are more expensive, I've never had an issue with them, and their lenses are far superior. Sorry Costa, when you remember your customers are the reason you exist I may check you out again. Bye.

This was at one time the bench mark of quality in terms of glasses for fishing. At some point something changed. I spent over 200 on a pair of Paunch XL's and was happy to pay it. after two months of use the arm broke. Trying to contact anyone in warranty was definitely a no go. it is all AI. After submitting a service request I was sent thru the same portal and then was denied. Every correspondence has a time out feature. There customer service is a joke. Don't waste your time. These are not the same glasses they once were. There customer service is all chat and AI. The only consistent thing they have to offer is taking your money and processing an order.

Ordered some Ferg XL 580G sunglasses that were available for a 50% discount on the official Costa website.
The ordering process was seamless, payment happened through Paypal. The Sunglasses were shipped from the Costa facility in Italy.
Communication throughout the whole ordering process was smooth and accurate. Received emails whenever there was a status change.
The sunglasses arrived in 4 days and were in perfect condition. I am very pleased with the quality and fit of the sunglasses..
I love the glasses . But they dont send stickers anymore. I bought a 300$ sunglass. And you tell me we dont send stickers anymore as petty as it sounds I like my stickers and so I guess costa is out going forward. Sorry costa . Ill look i to returning the sunglasses I just recieved based on this

I have 4 Costa sunglasses, all of them are still under warranty. 3 of them are falling apart. The rubber/silicone nose padding and side pieces are falling off or self tearing, etc. I contacted Costa and they are not going to honor the warranty. My Optometrist sells Costa and I will be sure to let him know what an awful company Costa is.

Does not cover anything under warranty and does not care about the customer experience. Miss the days that Costa built its reputation on.

The last two pairs of sunglasses i have purchased have had issues. The first one had the nosepiece coming off after 6 months. Costa declined warranty, said it was my fault. Second one, the sunglasses fell lesser than 2 feet on to fiberglass boat. One lens completely shattered. Again declined because it was my fault, and i couldn’t purchase another lens because they were discontinued. DENIED DENIED DENIED DENIED.
I am no longer a Costa customer. After 30 years. Oh well, dome companies get taken over by the wrong people. Adios.

Horrible Customer Support. Ive been trying for over 2 years to get my glasses fixed under warranty and have submit at least 3 different claims aside from multiple chat conversations. The phone line just sends you to the chat and you cant really talk with anyone. After claims are submitted, they go nowhere. They never write back. Its a shame, Ive been a loyal customer for over 10 years and one of their best things was their customer service. Its design now to tire you into just buying a new set. I will not send another email or chat with anyone any more. I used to recomend Costa to a lot of people. I have never bee so frustrated with a customer service experience in my live. Funny thing, want to bet I get an automated reply to email them at yet another ghost email below?
Absolutely terrible customer service. Denied my first claim then I spoke to customer service, told them I bought the insurance plan, they claimed to have elevated the case then it get denied because the case has taken to long to get a response. And the glasses have a material defect. Straight garbage service will not be buying again.

I’ve been a Costa customer for over 10 years, and they’ve always made a great product. That’s why I’m so disappointed.
These sunglasses are only 8 months old, and the polarization coating is peeling around the edges. To me, that’s clearly a manufacturing defect, but Costa says it isn’t covered under warranty and won’t stand behind the product.
Unfortunately, this will probably be my last pair of Costas.
I’m now looking at Ray-Ban or Maui Jim. For those of you who’ve made the switch, what do you recommend and why? #costadelmar #badcustomerservice

I tried their claims service on a pair of glasses that we got through a silent auction at a Gala event. Only to be denied because we didn't have a receipt as you can click during the claims process that it was a gift and then explained in the comments that we had won them. Then asked for more pics with a link attached only to be taken back to the beginning and it wouldn't let me select it was a gift again. Then when I email the customer support about this they tell me that since I don't have the receipt that can only offer me a cost to make the repairs to their crappy workmanship or a 50% discount on another pair of glasses. I will never purchase another set of Costa's.

So I purchased a pair of Fantail Pro blue mirror sunglasses in January 2026. A week ago, early July 2026 they broke! As I was putting them on my face as I've done for 50 years with many other brands of sunglasses, the frame broke above the left lens towards the center and the lens popped out which I fortunately caught. I went through the company's website and return process including pictures and explanation and this is most of the reply that I received. Is this reply from a bot or somebody that doesn't understand the English language!?
This is the second pair of now junk Fantail Pros that have broken in the same spot!
Seem like this
BUYER BEWARE!!!!
" Thank you for contacting Luxottica After Sales. I am sorry that the frame break is jagged, which does not denote a manufacturing defect".
They did off 50% off a new pair with exclusions.
"The exclusions for our discount codes are Limited Edition, King Tide and any New Releases/exclusive, Gold Mirror Lens, Grand Catalina, Taxman, Keramas, Ulu, Nusa, Broadbill II, Finlet, Clipperton, Suenos, PRO Series, and Clemente".
Since I have the PRO Series, as they call it, I have to pay full price if I want a new pair of Fantail Pro Shades.
I'll be switching back to the Oakley brand as I've never had a pair of their frames break on me! I've been wearing Costa frames for about 3 years and prior to that it was Oakley.

I accidentally dropped my costa rincons from sofa seat height and the frame snapped. Poor quality for a pair of expensive glasses and looks like no way to repair or purchase replacement frames. Won't be buying again.

I have been a loyal COSTA customer for atleast 15 years. They used to last me 3-5 years, and if they broke, they always repaired or replaced. Sometimes I paid like $10. Forward to today's COSTA. I've bought 3 pairs the last 5 years. 2 from a retailer. The last i bought from COSTA less than 8 months ago. I bought the FANTAIL PRO, Tiger Shark frame, Blue Mirror 580 G lens. While fishing and removing my glasses to remove my shirt, the lanyard caught my hat and the frame snapped at a lense. Not enough bending pressure to break the lens or pop it out. It literally snapped the frame. My claim was denied and I paid $154 for a new pair. Discount, I get it, these are $309 glasses. BUT, I shouldn't have paid ANYYTHING. This will be my last i believe. It just sucks, bc you can't beat these once your so used to them. What happened to COSTA?

I have attempted several times to initiate a purchase for parts and because that was a dead end I tried to initiate a chat with the people at Costa Del Mar and every time it redirect me after two or three questions and then ends the conversation. I cannot get Service from Costa Del Mar. I have attempted to claim it as a warranty even though I know it is not. I have attempted to click the button that says warranty status, even though it is not a warranty issue and it ends the conversation. I have clicked the button saying I need to purchase parts and it ends the conversation. It is an endless loop that ends the conversation each time without being able to chat with a person or order the part that I need. Although I love the sunglasses, the Customer Service is absolutely the worst and this is the third time I’ve attempted a Customer Service issue in the last six months with the same result. I am very very frustrated. I own three different sets of Costa Del Mar sunglasses so clearly I love the glasses, but because of the Customer Service, I will have to switch to a different brand.
