We have had this policy for 2 years & have used them before to be recovered to home with no issues one time. We have national vehicle cover on 4 vehicles, renewed & updated recently so our kids are covered, peace of mind. Now while quite far from home we suffered a breakdown, 9pm Saturday night. Offered to be taken to a local closed garage instead of home when policy clearly states recovery includes vehicle & 4 passengers to home if cannot be repaired the same day. Now it’s apparently’ at their discretion’ & they want the £30 excess + £270 to bring vehicle but not driver home. They then gave us a list of recovery garages to choose from, 1 was local to our home, we picked this & then asked why it couldn’t recover the driver also as it was from our area. The call handler then said this garage service couldn’t be used at all after giving it as an option. This is a blatant cash grab & not in their policy documents small print as I have checked throughly. It is also not acceptable. We have not paid them & arranged alternative recovery to home at a cheaper cost but still a cost we shouldn’t have incurred. Thankful it was not one of my daughters that this happened to. If this is a new condition it is not stated anywhere in their documentation on their website, no information has been sent to us in regards to this change. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. I am furious that they can do this after offering services which we paid for in good faith. I’d give them no stars if I could & will be changing to a reliable company asap.

Terrible experience as I was missold a policy when I asked for breakdown cover for my campervan. Paid for the policy for 2 years and they had the make, model and reg of my van. Then when I needed recovery they asked me what was in the van and I said it was a campervan to then find out I was not covered.
It does not mention anything on the breakdown certificate but does in the small print but when you call to ask for specific cover for a campervan and they have all the details of your van you do not expect it not to be covered in the policy you've just bought. I have paid for 2 years and just renewed in May and they left me stranded without recovery- and told me they would refund me but now in writing they are saying they won't. Be very wary of this company.

Great coverage for the car and had to make an adjustment initially but resolved very quickly on the phone. Can recommend but hopefully, the car won't break down and have to use it :)
