Fantastic trip , arranged by Coxandkings, “The heart of Ancient Greece “ ,we travelled in Mid June. Weather was all sunny ,warm , only about two hours much needed refreshing rain in Olympia at the last leg of the trip.It was a group travel.
Collection at Athens airport and departure arranged skilfully , porter with his cart carried all the group’s baggage .
Guide who had a PhD in Ancient Greek history, driver took excellent care for us. Coach was comfortable with enough leg space and drinking water bottles always avialble.
The country was picturesque with
Olive tree forests , grape vines ,mountains covered with trees , and houses one or two storied with red tile roofs dotted the countryside, Even in the main city Athens no skyscrapers to obstruct the sky view.
Itinerary was arranged perfectly with mixture of ancient history, culture and religion.
All interesting places of history book were there for us to see,
Acropolis, Parthenon, Corinth Canal,Mycenae and Epidarus, Nafpion lovely town with its hill, Picturesque Byzantine town of Monemvasia,Mystras with its eight hundred stone stairs down, Olympia with its museum, main site and running track, Delphi site of a million and half olive tree forest, in Delphi museum, temple of Apollo, ruins of sanctuary of Athena, Pythian festival stadium, nearby mountain village Arachova, truffle hunting in oak forest of Kalembaka then to the Eastern Orthodox monestries on world famous Meteora rocks.
We also had Greek wine testing stop , olive Museum, and a trip to olive farm with demonstration of olive oil making .there was an olive tree a thousand years old .
Hotels were magnificent, splendid Kinsterna hotel in Monemvasia with its beautiful garden ,grape vines and excellent breakfast,,hotel Amalia in Delphi with its smiling ready to help staffs in dining, and Divani Meteora hotel with excellent view of the Meteora rock.
Many full boards ,some half board ,welcome dinner and farewell drinks
At stops on the way coffee was available and English being second language in the country had no language barrier.
Good value for money

Thank you Cox and Kings our time in Peru was wonderful. Although extremely tiring - there was so much included - we came away with many memories and a sense of real achievement. We were well looked after with very good quality hotels. The trip planned to ensure that everything worked smoothly. e.g. we were exposed to the higher altitudes gradually to minimise risk of altitude sickness. Many fantastic sights and scenery, with Machuu Picchu being awe inspiring.
All guides were very knowledgeable and friendly

I throughly enjoyed the trip. All 3 countries were interesting to visit. The guides very good particularly Sally our guide in Gerogia who was excellent. A busy programme with lots to see. A lot of walking including steps involved. Good group of travellers.
Nice travelling group, everybody got on which helped make the trip go so well.

Just called Cox & Kings for a quote for a holiday to India, firstly the lady miscalculated my holiday days as she was looking at a different month, she told me there wasn't a 28th March ?!!
Then she said she couldn't help as we're going to a wedding and we had our own accommodation booked for 5 days. They won't look at anything under 7 days accommodation (ours was 6 days needing extra hotels etc), we could have extended the holiday by a day but at this point she'd been so uninterested and abrasive that I'll go with Audley who were really lovely and super flexible. They have also arranged a driver and day trips when we are at the wedding accommodation. Very disappointed, lost a customer forever.

Excellent trip that really covered all aspects of Peru so that you felt immersed in the culture and sights of the country - and not just Machu Picchu.
A very well planned itinerary led us gently through the acclimitisation so that we could cope with 14,000 ft levels at points. It was essential for me to visit Machu Picchu a second day and not feel rushed or short-changed with a quick 2hr visit then moving on (as most tour companies do), so this itinerary from Cox & Kings is perfect. I also liked the choice of extension options and being able to do Paracas and the Nazca Lines. Why go all the way to Peru and not do everything?!
Finally, the tour guides were excellent as was the accommodation.

We enjoyed a very well organised and enjoyable holiday with Cox and Kings, and, on returning Katy from Customer Services exceeded all expectations with an issue that was favourably resolved for us. We will most certainly be returning customers, and have recommended the company to friends.

Overall, an excellent trip. Our tour guide, Mario, was brilliant. He really looked after us and went above and beyond. Heavy touring schedule; lots of walking, lots of coach travel (thanks also to our driver). The first hotel was great. The second hotel, not so much, which was very disappointing. In terms of what you see v value for money = outstanding.

I could speak to someone who gave me her name and discussed the holiday before I booked. Later I had a query and how nice it was to ask for the person who could answer my question immediately.

We've just come back from an amazing trip to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan including driving the Pamir Highway organised by Ovidiu David at Cox & Kings. Ovidiu was helpful, professional and dealt with all our requirements (and many changes!) with skill and patience.

It has been my daughter's long cherished dream to visit part of the Silk Road and especially the fabled cities of Samarkand, Khiva and Bukhara. Our tour in May of this year was organised by Cox & Kings. From our first contact to the last all went perfectly smooth. Transport, accommodation, tour guides and above all our visits to memorable, stunning monuments and places exceeded our expectations. It was a breath taking experience never to be forgotten. Uzbekistan is well worth a visit. We met truly lovely Uzbek people wherever we went! We would happily go go back to Cox & Kings for our next adventure.
