I have used crunch for over 10 years whilst i have had my limited company.
They have been amazing. The team is always there to answer any finance related questions (no matter how stupid it was).
I have learnt so much from them and couldnt have run my business without them. Thank you Crunch 🙏

Great company. Responsive and clear. Glenn Cobb is an excellent accountant who took the time to walk me through my business. Very patient and understanding for a novice like me!

Been with these lot far too long and holding out now based on an "improvement" in service.

Emails go unanswered, advice is so technical or accountant speak it makes no sense.

When you log a complaint, no one follows up.

The best are the condoscending emails or advice on what you should be doing to run a business.

Let's see what they can fix in a year.

Trying to sort out a technical error on my self assesment.
While waiting over 24 hours for a reply I have received 3 automated emails from them encouraging me to finish the tax assesment.

Crunch makes the accounting process feel more simple and in one place with their software. My dedicated client manager Narendra Kulkarni ensures I have all the information I need and s helpful and supportive.

TLDR: lost over £1k and got literally nothing in return. Appalling communications. Unless you want to handle everything yourself stay away...

After months they've delivered nothing including the add-ons that aren't exactly cheap.
Had a call with my point of contact, they explained how to do certain things, I recorded it, then I proceeded to finish the process we started together in the exact same way we did before, I then get an email saying it was done wrong and had to fix it myself... It was hours of work.
My PoC volunteered to do it herself which I appreciated, days go by without any communication so I reach out until to hear that my PoC had left the company and no one had said anything nor did I get a replacement PoC.
4 months they've attempted to register as my representatives and the process failed each and every time it was attempted, I sent numerous emails on how to solve the problems, some didn't even get a reply, none had any useful content in them.
I've asked for the subscription to be cancelled about 3 weeks ago, I've gotten no reply.
Appalling communication from this company.
Unless you want to handle everything yourself stay away...

Glenn gave me some fantastic advice, I have run a limited company for 15 years and never knew about some of these tax-efficient savings until now!

"Award winning software" means no humans are handling your account and getting in contact with an accountant took me nearly a month. Evertyhing is so automated away that it's a complete nightmare. I cancelled a month ago and their bots are still trying to file things to HMRC.

I have been with Crunch for several years now and they have consistently delivered. The software does exactly what it says on the tin, the support team are genuinely responsive and helpful, and for the core use case of a UK freelancer or contractor it is hard to fault.

The reason I am leaving four stars rather than five comes down to foreign currency support. I have a Euro account and do work across Europe, and when I signed up I was led to believe this would be straightforward. In practice, reconciling a foreign currency account turned out to be quite involved. You have to track down the HMRC exchange rates yourself for each month, manually convert your transactions, and reformat everything before you can even upload a CSV. I genuinely do not understand why the platform cannot pull in those rates automatically on the backend and do the conversion at the point of upload. It would save a lot of head scratching.

When I asked Crunch for help with this I was quoted £260 for the privilege, which was a bit of a downer. I did manage to sort it myself in the end, and I will admit I can be a bit of a drama queen about these things, but I do think this is an area where Crunch has real room to improve. Post Brexit, working across European borders is increasingly important for small businesses, freelancers and contractors, and seamless foreign currency handling should be a priority rather than an afterthought.

That said, I do recommend Crunch. For anyone running a straightforward UK operation it remains a solid, reliable choice.

I have been with Crunch for over 8 years, and i can hand on heart say in previous years the dedicated account managers were a fantastic resource and totally justified the extra cost.

This appears to have changed recently, instead of next day replies responding with detailed information, i now receive generated responses (probably AI) 3-4 days later and any human responses from emails are taking over a week.

This has exacerbated issues with their system (every year bank integrations are missing banking transactions) which need to be resolved manually at end of year. Every year. As a result its taken months to get the information i've needed to get my accounts ready. They are now overdue and i have not had a response from my last 2 customer support emails sent 6 days ago.

I have been paying £165/month for quality software and dedicated accountants, but now sadly there has been a noticeable decline.

I am still waiting on a response from customer support, Its a telling shame that some sales person will likely respond to this review in less time than they would an existing customer via their support system.

Glenn listened so patiently and really took the time to understand my business and level of expertise around accountancy. I felt supported throughout.

I've been with Crunch for several years now and have always found the software easy to use, but also the support has been first rate. Any queries I have are dealt with on first call and no question is too silly to ask either.

Nikki was so incredibly sweet and patient when helping me to get my accounts into production. She went at my pace and explained things in a way I could really understand, remaining happy and upbeat the whole time! (This was at the end of March, so an incredibly busy time for all the staff at Crunch). I must have been with Crunch for about 10 years and they have been superstars year on year!! Narendra helped me sort out some technical problems with the online portal. He was very thorough and clear and in a few minutes was able to help me fix all the issues I was having. Great service from Crunch!
