CUSTOMPC.IE ceased selling components and accessories on the 30th of September 2024. All custom desktop pcs , laptops , servers and workstations with warranty have been transfered and all customers have received new contact information to ensure they have even better support than we have been able to provide over the last 15 years. Custom Computers and Technologie Limited is no longer involved with CUSTOMPC.IE We would like to thank our loyal customers in Ireland and everywhere else and we would like to ensure all of our customers are aware that they have support from A.C.T. who have sent emails to all customers providing new support information and details. Our decision to cease selling components and accessories came from this being a service we started in 2021 to assist customers impacted by the rules change with regards Brexit in January of 2021. This service was never intended to be in place for 4 years. Unfortunately we had to cease providing this service after consultation with our core customers and we provided 120 days notice of the end of component sales. The transfer of CUSTOMPC.IE was never intended to take place in the same year however we felt this change would ensure continuity and better support across Europe and in ireland for our customers who had purchased custom pcs , laptops , servers and workstations. Component and accessory sales were reasponsible for less than 20% of or sales however 80% of our support tickets were from this 20% and this had impacted the level of support we could provide to the many customers who relied on us for support for their workstations , servers , gaming pcs and laptops which is why we took the decision to cease selling components and accessories. The opportunity to ensure a better level of support from our core customers came about as an added bonus and we could not refuse the opportunity given what this meant for our loyal customers. Support is still available direct at CUSTOMPC.IE and through the normal emails and we do not believe this will change given there was an undertaking to ensure the same email addresses were to be live for at least 12 months. The CUSTOMPC.IE brand is not part of the ARES Group and we expect the brand be taken to new heights by ARES.

Radio silence from CustomPC on status of order.
I so regret not researching this company before I made my order... I ordered a small off-the-shelf electronics product. This means they simply take it off the shelf, pack it, and dispatch it.
I chose this company as they are based in Ireland, supposedly had it in stock (I question this now), and could get a courier delivery (~€10 for DPD).
I paid for the item, then crickets so far... 8 days later. No response from their customer service despite several attempts. I also whatsapp'd the number listed on Trustpilot - nothing. They are obviously not interested in repeat customers.
I make dozens of similar orders from other businesses and usually get my package the next day, or two.
Update: The package arrived via An Post on 26th Sep, 10 days after making the order. No updates from customer service.

Supposed to take 2 days to process and then start building. It's now been 10 days and nothing.

We respond to all tickets however in September we have had been dealing with 20 times the normal amount of orders and tickets due to the end of us selling components and accessories on the 30th of September. After many months of consultation with our core customer base it was decided to end the component and accessory sales as this was creating delays with custom desktop pcs , laptops and workstations and delaying our response times when it came to the high level of support we have always provided to our customers. We do sent update emails as a build progresses and unfortunately if a component is not available it can delay the build from progressing however this information can be viewed by logging into your account. Please accept our apologies for any delay with your custom pc and please understand that our decision in April to end component and accessory sales was to ensure this kind of delay does not happen to our loyal customers who purchase pcs , laptops and workstations from us and have done for 20+ years.

Fraudsters and thieves
Fraudsters and thieves. They write that they have the goods in stock, ready for shipment. So you buy and pay and what? After a few days you receive information that unfortunately they do not have the goods in stock. As soon as you tell them you want your money back, they start ignoring you and don't reply to your emails. Even when I filed a case on PayPal, they waited until the last day to return the money. I finally got my money back after a month thanks to PayPal. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIEVES!!!

I bought a monitor which they said they had on stock and later on they didn't. So delay in receiving the product. I needed it asap and sent it back as their instructions. They said they would give my money back. They didn't. 4 months on waiting and then I had to go to small claims court to try to get my money back. They were served the papers but didn't reply to court. It is a joke and total disrespect with customers.

Custom Desktop PCs , Laptops , Workstations and Servers can take up to 15 business days to be built , tested and shipped however some builds can take longer mainly due to either complexity of the availability of the parts to build the pc. Nearly at the top level
Really great to have and Irish business for us to use. There is 2 cons, speed and pricing. Pricing is a little bit over the top but accepting credit facilities means excess charges and naturally going to cause a price increase but some components are €800 above RRP. Processing, dispatch and delivery speeds leave a lot to be desired especially considering it was a domestic order.
All in all the team deserve the business but I think they are two areas that definitely could improve, however it won’t stop me from shopping here again. Thanks lads

We have been providing components at almost cost price as a service to our customers since January 2021 so it would be highly unlikely to have an item listed at €800 above the RRP considering the pricing is set by the vendor and not ourselves. Thank you for your order and I am sorry we did not live up to your expectations but please understand that component sales was only ever intended as a short term service and we had allowed it to go on for more than 3 years which was creating issues for our many loyal customers who rely on us for custom pcs , laptops ,servers and workstions. This was the reason we decided to stop allowing the sale of components and accories on our websites form the 30th of September 2024. We have done our upmost to provide a level of service to component and accessory customers however it wa not possible to provide the necessary level of service as 11% of our sales created 82% of our support ticket and this service was being supported by us financally since 2021. It is not possible to supply components in Ireland quick even if we could supply at low prices as the stock must be held on the continent based on the Irish market being tiny in comparison to the German or even Italian markets. We have always tried to find a balance but due to the effects of component and accessory sales on our core business and customers regards pcs , laptops and workstation we have stopped selling components and accessories. Thank you for your custom and I hope we can assist you in the future. There is a notice below not related to your review but it will give you an idea of why we have stopped the sale of accessories. If you need a recomendation on a component supplier who ships to Ireland please contact our sales team. I do however not think any large component suppliers in Germany for example could ship to Ireland as we did but companies like CONRAD.COM for example are very good and they specialist in component sales. I ordered a hard drive from them on the second of August and not received any updates since. They took the money from my account. I have not received the product and it is the 16 of August today. I wrote them an email and all I got back was an automated reply which didn’t help at all. In the end I didn’t get my money or my hard drive. Definitely do not recommend. Overall terrible experience. Will update if anything changes but I truly doubt it.

Not All PC are made in Ireland as customer say they are made in Ireland!.
Its great that theres a company you can build your own pc in Ireland,
But the only thing is you don't build PC in Ireland. Its False advertising. You Clearly have on your web site MADE IN IRELAND.
Only Reason I Went with CustomPC is because its an Irish company. Plus says, and also see picture of a warehouse with computers that looks in Ireland!!.. But MY PC wasn't Built in Ireland, Was Build in Germany. If that was the case I could had got onto that German website and ordered my Pc from that other company as was Cheeper but I didn't cause this was an Irish company saying You make your own PCs
As Delivery you clearly say you don't use An Post, You use DPD and Fast Ways, You give your reasons why you don't use An Post and use these other company to deliver plus returns, Were My Product Arrived by An post?, So why is it ok for you to say one thing and not the customer to use An Post For returns cause you won't stand over the Product on return?. I'm All in for using An Post as they are very reliable plus Irish Plus Cheeper. They Have a great Record plus always Deliver.

All of our Custom Desktop PCs , Laptops , Servers and Workstations have always been built and designed in the Republic of Ireland. Even the PCs we ship to customers in Germany are built here in Ireland. We do not ship any PC , Laptops , Server or Workstation with AN POST due to the weight limits with AN POST. We have never shipped any PC with AN POST as all PCs are above the 10KG Limit.
We have shipped component orders with AN POST usually to an address which was or had been an issue for DPD and this is mostly related to apartments.
Our PCs are sold in many EU Countries Inlcuding Germany but we do not build our PCs in any country other than Ireland.
Please note below is information related to the cesation of the sale of components and accessories by us here in Ireland and from now on we will only sell custom pcs , laptops , servers and workstations
Thank you for your review but please consider the information as we only build our pcs here in Ireland and I can assure you we will continue to do so even if 90% of our PCs are shipped and sold outside of Ireland.

Great customer service
Easy to use website, quick build and delivery (just over week total). They didn't have two of the parts I ordered and I got a call same day to say they would upgrade those to higher performance parts they had in stock at no extra cost, which was very nice of them. There were also a couple of extra treats in the box.

I recently ordered components for a full PC and wanted to share my experience. I placed my order on July 31st, and the first delivery attempt was made on August 10th. The order was delivered within the promised timeframe. Everything was exactly as described and well-packaged upon arrival.
During the waiting period, I had to make some changes to my order, specifically the SSD, power supply, and case, as they found faster options or realized some products were nearing the end of their life. My cpu was also upgraded at no extra charge.
The communication was excellent. They proactively reached out via phone and email to inform me about any out-of-stock items and offered similar or better alternatives.
Initially, I was a bit worried after reading some reviews, but my experience turned out to be a pleasant surprise.
The only slight negative was that their website is a bit slow. However, I found their prices to be competitive compared to other Irish retailers. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and the service I received. I would definitely recommend

The performance issues on our website related to the amount of visitors to the site which was created by component and accessory sales which have now ended.
We have had many happy customers who have purchased components and accessories from us over the last 4 years but please understand that this was never our core business and we provided the service to our customers in 2021 due to the problems faced by customers in Ireland getting components post the Brexit change in January of 2021. WE never invisaged the service being provided for almost 4 years. Our website was deisgned to allow customers to build and design custom pcs , laptops , servers and workstations which requires a lot of server power so our site will never be lightning fast. Over the last 18 months the level of visitors coming to the site for components was creating issues for our core customers who have always purchased their custom pcs , laptops , servers and workstations from us and after consultation with them we decied to end the componet sales.
