CustomShowerBases are looking to lure you in and then gouge you

I wrote online to the company, located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I selected a salesperson from the choices provided. Melinda sent back a drawing of what she understood to be my project, plus she directed me to fill out their generate-a-quote form. I did that, corrected a couple things on her drawing. I got the quote back for $880 for a shower base. The generate-a quote form would not let me put in the height of the sides of the base I needed. Per Melinda's request I called her. She said the couple inches extra height on the sides wouldn't add much. And I asked for a second 2" drain hole to be drilled in one end. That's it. The only changes made from the original quote (which was otherwise correct in its overall dimensions). The second quote came back at $3900. Honestly. They more than quadrupled the quote for those couple extra inches Melinda said were not a big deal. And for drilling a second drain hole...$3000 extra. Don't trust business people like this...they have a slime factor.
