Failed delivery, failed customer service

Sent a package to Darling Point, to be left at a post office. They took it to the post office at 7pm. Shocker, the post office was closed! So naturally, the Dai Post courier took it to a nearby pharmacy to be collected. By nearby, I mean an hour and 15 minute driver, using $25 of toll roads.

Luckily the package only contains birthday presents sent from the UK, as nobody wants those on their actual birthday.

Big ups to Scott, who alerted us that the package was in the middle of nowhere, and closed the case. Great initiative mate!

Don’t use DAI post

Don’t use DAI post! They’ve been the worst delivery service I’ve dealt with. They never even attempt to deliver my parcels and always tell me to pick them up from a collection point. My building has two secure lock-up rooms with cameras and a 24/7 concierge to receive deliveries, and every other courier (even Aramex) delivers here without issues. DAI just keeps saying it’s ‘unsafe’ to leave parcels, which honestly makes no sense — they’re simply too lazy to deliver.

Pretavoir Parcel Located

Lizette Tecson was very helpful when I lodged an inquiry to find my order from Pretavoir. I was sent the information of where parcel was and that it would be out for delivery within 24 hours it came within the hour. So I am very grateful for the help received, I was beginning to think I got scammed, so thank you😁 Pretavoir was very good at communication and keeping me updated as to where my parcel was. The NZ side let itself down by not updating its tracking. Parcel spent more time with NZ customs than the flight from the UK, it was only sunnies.

Lizette in Customer Service was so…

Lizette in Customer Service was so helpful and always followed up with me on updates. The delivery service is not so great however. Our gates at work are always shut and the driver needed to simply drive up to the intercom and I would have let him in. It was 1:30pm and the carpark was full so obviously people were there.

AAA++ DAI Post international shipping experience!!

Although I admittedly purchase quite a phenomenal amount of items from UK & US sellers (from my home in Australia), I rarely leave feedback on here & when I do, I must confess that it's usually motivated by my displeasure with a company.

However, today I can very happily announce that after having purchased a BNIB pair of Adidas Originals x Monster headphones (from a US seller via eBay), my headphones arrived in 100% PERFECT condition via DAI shipping, in less than 3 weeks, which is truly brilliant, from my experience (unless one shells out BIG $ for Express shipping, of course) & best of all, DAI regularly sent me near-daily email updates re: my parcel's progress from the day that it was first shipped, which was awesome & certainly provided me w/ peace of mind that they would arrive!

Thank you VERY much, DAI Post & I VERY highly recommend this company to anyone who is presented with them as a shipping option!

Avoid at all cost

I’ve been waiting on a package for two weeks and the delivery experience has been incredibly frustrating. This week alone it has been marked “out for delivery” five times. For the first three days, the tracking showed “Could not attempt delivery, insufficient time” – which tells me they never even tried.

The last two days have been even worse. The tracking stated “Parcel unsafe to leave at address” even though I was home all day and no one buzzed the apartment, knocked on the door, or attempted contact. There is absolutely no reason this parcel couldn’t be delivered.

Customer service has been no help. Each time I contact them, I get the same scripted response: “We’ll attempt redelivery.” No actual solution, no explanation, no accountability. At this point, I have zero confidence Monday will be any different.

This has been the most disappointing delivery experience I’ve had with any courier. If you have the option to choose another delivery provider, I strongly recommend doing so.

Bad Experience

I can honestly say that this is one of the worst experiences I have had with any company. After waiting over 6 weeks with no delivery or communication I contacted the company to find that there had been only one attempt to deliver the package before it was sent to the returns centre in Melbourne. Since I'm in Sydney I emailed and rang many times and was told conflicting information or that they were looking into it over 2 weeks. I was eventually told that I would have to pick it up myself or it would be returned to the US. I finally used Pack and Send to pick it up and deliver it (once it had been found) and received it a few days later. Nearly a week after it had been picked up I received an email telling me it was now ready. Throughout the whole time, they accepted no responsibility or displayed any sense of urgency. I was often told that they needed 1 to 2 business days to process requests but this was not adhered to.

Did not attempt to deliver to delivery address

There is tracking for each stop the parcel makes but the delivery driver didn't even attempt to come to my delivery address (several people were home at all times all of the day of and day before "delivery", and one of our work desks is right next to the front door). The parcel went directly from a warehouse stop to a parcel point and was labelled "unsafe to leave at delivery address" in my notification email, which is categorically a LIE. Not only do I not recommend this company, I'm not even going to shop from this same clothing store that uses them for delivery again. I would give zero stars if I could.

package stolen

Left my package in an unsafe place where it was then stolen, came early in the morning on a Saturday earlier then expected (not a problem) however this unexpected arrival resulted in us losing our package as no one rang the doorbell nor knocked the door and left the package flat out on the porch. When I called them about it they said there was authority to leave it.. from who? definitely wasn't from me and even then i feel as if they could've used their brain cells to put it somewhere out of public view to avoid this issue.

Unreliable and Liars

This is not the first time a package hasn't arrived, someone has been home at all times this week and two days in a row they have said it was out for delivery but there was nowhere safe to leave it. Last time this happened I had to drive to a convenience store a fortnight after their last attempt to pick up my package. They are unreliable and clueless.

A driver didn't even wait 10 seconds after rinking a bell

Daipost.com is refusing to book a re-delivery even though it was caused by their driver. Me and my partner were both at home, we've answered the bell within 5-10 seconds and we couldn't hear anyone. We have opened the door anyway and my partner went downstairs and there was nobody there.

DaiPost told me that can't re-book without either me or eBay or a seller paying extra for re-delivery and they cannot give me an estimation on when the eBay / Seller might approve it.

Worst courier and service

My parcel was supposed to be delivered on 1st October, but it’s now mid-October and I still haven’t received it. For four consecutive days, the tracking showed it was “out for delivery with driver”, only for it to be returned to the depot every evening with no delivery attempt made. Then, on 4th October, the status changed to “unsafe to deliver” — which makes no sense, as no one even tried to deliver it.

The exact same thing happened again on 9th October. I called customer service every single day, and every time I was told my request had been “forwarded to the depot.” Yet no one ever contacted me or followed up. The communication is absolutely non-existent, and every call ends with false assurances that lead nowhere.

To make things worse, I had to move interstate, so I arranged for my friend to collect the parcel instead. That process was a complete nightmare — it took ages to organize, and I had to repeatedly chase them up just to confirm basic details. Even then, they never told me I needed an authorization letter until I specifically asked after multiple calls.

This company is utterly useless. Zero accountability, zero communication, and no respect for customers’ time. I’ve never experienced such incompetence from a delivery service before. If you value your sanity or your parcels, go with any other courier — literally anyone else would do a better job.

Abysmal

Just another one of those courier / delivery companies that claims that they "missed you", even though you were sitting waiting at home for the delivery. Online tracking is useless and updates to replace timestamped entries with alternative facts later.

I've been trying to reach them for two BUSINESS days now (during business hours), but their contact centre is simply closed due to "adverse weather". All calls disconnect.

Having finally gotten a response to my Contact Us form the options are:

1. Wait at home for more fake delivery attempts that won't actually happen

2. Drive 2 hour roundtrip + tolls to Westmeadows.

They seem to consider that a reasonable option! Whatever happened to, you know, local collection points.

DAIPost, Parcelright...same thing, both awful. From hereon I simply won't buy from any merchant where I'm aware they are the carrier.

Appalling service from DAI Post

My parcel was originally scheduled for delivery on 18 September, yet three weeks later, it still hasn’t arrived. Never receiced any notifications from the company. I had to call a week after the expected delivery date and was told it was never even loaded onto the delivery truck — and since then, there’s been no delivery attempt, no updates, and no explanation.
I’ve tried calling and sending emails, only to receive the same vague response: “We’ll let you know when we know.” This level of incompetence and disregard for customers is unacceptable.
I am extremely frustrated and disappointed. How this company continues to operate with such appalling service standards is beyond me.

Absolutely hopeless

Absolutely hopeless. They never manage to deliver anything, It takes repeated calls to their call centre in The Philippines to arrange to collect parcels at their depressing and unfriendly depot in Port Melbourne. I have no how they stay in business.
