Hi Romuald,

Thank you for your feedback. To clarify, the reasons for the account termination were clearly communicated via email. Despite a single-server deployment, we received hundreds of support requests, including frequent configuration changes, and your account also had a history of unpaid invoices. I trust this clarifies why continued service became unsustainable.

Top-Tier Network

We’ve been working with DataPacket at large scale for a few months now and we’re extremely satisfied.

Their customer support is fast, professional, and always helpful. The product is reliable and flexible, and the global coverage of their locations is exactly what we needed.

They’ve been very accommodating with our specific requirements, and overall, it’s been a smooth and positive experience.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Service and Support…

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Service and Support from DataPacket!

I’ve been working with DataPacket for over 6 years as a reseller through my company, NextStream Servers, and I can confidently say they are a top-tier provider. Their services are consistently reliable, and their infrastructure is robust, which has helped us meet our clients' needs without fail.

A big shoutout to Simon, our account manager at DataPacket. Simon has been exceptional in every way—his professionalism, knowledge, and responsiveness are second to none. Whenever we have any questions or need assistance, Simon is quick to offer support, provide detailed solutions, and ensure that everything runs smoothly. His customer service is impeccable, and he always goes the extra mile to ensure we are satisfied.

The entire team at DataPacket has been great, but Simon truly stands out in making our experience seamless and worry-free. We trust them with all our hosting needs, and we look forward to continuing our successful partnership for years to come.

Highly recommended!

Thank you for the fantastic review and for trusting us for more than six years. Working with NextStream Servers has been a pleasure from day one.

I really appreciate the kind words. Account management is easy when there is a strong, professional partner on the other side who knows exactly what their clients need. Our team works hard to keep the network solid, the hardware fresh, and support responsive so that you can focus on growing your business instead of worrying about infrastructure.

We are looking forward to many more years of working together.

We work with dozens of data centers (dedicated servers and IP transit services), and Datapacket really stands out:

1. Modern hardware.
It sounds basic, but many colocation providers offer their clients old servers.

2. A very high-quality network with excellent connectivity.
Our customers notice the difference, and they love it.

3. Support that actually solves problems.

4. Managers do their jobs and often make decisions in the client’s favor when they don't have to.

This is more expensive than many others, but it is clear why.

Hello Sebastyan,

thank you for the 5 stars and for spelling out what matters. We focus on the same four pillars you called out: new-generation hardware only, a high-quality global network your customers can feel, support that actually fixes things, and account managers empowered to make fair calls. We know we are not the cheapest, and we work hard to make the value obvious through performance, uptime, and fast decisions. You also get 24/7 access to engineers, Slack support, and no long-term contracts if you ever need to flex.

We appreciate the partnership and the trust.

Datapacket abruptly ended its…

Datapacket just ended its partnership with NeoProtect out of nowhere, and shut down some important DDoS protection stuff. This left a ton of customers in the dust without any heads-up.

This move messed things up big time. Lots of users got hit hard, even though they had nothing to do with it. Now they're stuck trying to fix their broken security and deal with changing IP addresses.

NeoProtect is supposed to stop DDoS attacks, that's what they do. So, cutting them off just because they got attacked big time seems totally unfair and not cool. A real provider should have their partner's back when things get crazy, not ditch them when the going gets tough.

Even if Datapacket had its own problems, dropping everything like that shows they don't care much about the people who trust their network. Pretty lame move from a company that says it's top-tier.

Update:
True, but u shut down their services without any alert? Then u updated policies! Wow.

Thank you for the feedback. I am sorry for the disruption you experienced.

To clarify, you were a customer of NeoProtect, not DataPacket. We terminated a single NeoProtect account after sustained, very large attacks associated with that service began to risk network stability for other customers. Our 230 Tbps capacity is built to keep legitimate customer traffic fast and stable on our network and IP space. We are not a public DDoS scrubbing or GRE proxy provider, and we do not host third-party DDoS protection platforms. After this incident, we updated our policy to state this explicitly.

Network Ransom - No I'm not kidding...

Well they advertise the following:

Unmetered DDoS Protection
Full Shield Volumetric & L4 Attacks Included in each Subscription

230+ Tbps Global Network
16 transit carriers and 300+ PNIs Lowest latency possibble

Now the impressive part about this, if you are attacked you get a nifty email from Datapacket that says we are increasing your bandwidth fee over 300% and if you dont agree we will terminate service immediately. If you are looking for large business integration you are already aware of how much that would cost.

If you are looking for 2 or three machines, why would you be in the reviews. Go to OVH instead. I cannot think of the ramifications of dropping customers with this pricing, essentially holding networks for ransom, but it appears that is the state of the ISP industry in 2025.

Then when you cancel your business account, they continue to charge you at this unagreed rate and will send you constant emails to settle your account.

Also, why do you advertise 230 Tbps if you just drop companies that quite clearly do DDoS protection? This is strange behavior Datapacket. You have made all of your customers vulnerable with this action.

In short, please heed my warning and avoid moving your company onto Datapacket. You will be exploited.

Response to your reply:

Your transparent pricing didnt apply when you knocked my companies invoice over 300% then when you dumped one of our upstream partners offline.

Also it does continue billing if you dont cancel it. All invoices were paid, we set it to cancel. It took 3 support tickets and an account review for you to say "oh our mistake, we cant cancel the charges after you cancelled the first time though"

Im also not removing this review. You can ask for the account details all you want. I just want everyone to know the absolute hell we are going through because of your foolishness.

Billy, thank you for sharing this. I am sorry for the frustration, and I want to clarify how our billing and DDoS protection work.

We do not change a customer’s rate or auto-charge without consent. Our pricing uses the 95th percentile or peak-based usage as published on our website. If a large attack leaks past mitigation and reaches your ports, that traffic can lift your 95th percentile. When that happens, our system prepares the options to deal with the excess (upgrades/one-time fees).

In cases of leaked attack traffic, we always offer two paths:
1. Work with our engineers to tighten filters or adjust the profile. If the spike was caused by a leaked DDoS, we can usually credit or waive the overage.
2. If the service is not a fit, we will cancel immediately and waive the extra charge as an exception.

230 Tbps describes our backbone capacity and interconnection scale. It exists to keep legitimate customer traffic fast and stable. We are not a public DDoS scrubbing or GRE proxy service, and running third-party DDoS protection from our network is not permitted. After repeated, very large attacks directed at one of our customers operating a public DDoS protection service, we terminated that account to protect network stability for all customers. We then updated our Terms to make this policy explicit.

We also do not continue billing after cancellation. If you received reminders, they relate to an open invoice before a waiver is approved. If you need further help, you can direct it to me at simon@datapacket.com, and I will review your account, ensure cancellation if requested, and zero any DDoS-related overage that applies.

From one of the best networks to one of the most disappointing decisions I’ve ever seen

When I first joined DataPacket, I was genuinely impressed by the speed, reliability and flexibility of their network. Their support team was excellent too, always quick to respond and open to technical customization, even installing a custom NIC was never an issue. It quickly became one of my favorite providers to work with.

That changed fast. Shortly after a major incident involving a large-scale DDoS attack, DataPacket began terminating customers who used XDP on their servers. It’s unclear whether the decision was communicated to a few major clients beforehand, but it was certainly never shared broadly or transparently. Many customers were caught off guard, with no official notice or explanation.

When I reached out to support for clarification, the response was simply that “our sales team will contact you on Monday.” For a technical question about a core network feature, that’s beyond disappointing.

While the exact reasoning behind this policy shift has never been officially confirmed, removing such a critical networking feature and banning customers for using it, without clear communication, is unacceptable for a company of this scale.

This change seriously damages trust and technical credibility. I would have loved to keep that five-star review, but this silent and unexplained decision deserves nothing more than a single star.

Thank you for the detailed feedback and for the kind words about our network and support in the past.

After a major incident, we changed the policy to protect the stability of all customers. We no longer allow public DDoS scrubbing or third-party mitigation services on our network and IP space. We also disabled XDP on our platform, since it was being used primarily to operate scrubbing nodes. This does not affect customers running their own applications on our IPs with our included mitigation. It does mean we are not the right provider for building a public DDoS filtering service.

You were a customer at the time of the change. For affected accounts, we offer migration assistance and a grace period of up to 2 months, as needed. Your ticket arrived over the weekend and was queued for our account team, which is why you were told sales would follow up on Monday. I understand that timing was frustrating.

We cannot discuss account specifics in public. If you would like migration assistance or a clean path forward for a supported use case, email simon@datapacket.com with your ticket ID, and we will sort it quickly.

Not bad

My server was delivered in 2-3 days, even though it was supposed to be available sooner.
The prices are very high, but the server and network are high quality.

Hello Theó,

Thank you for the candid review and for noting the server and network quality. I am sorry the delivery felt slower than promised. We had to change the hardware on your order, which moved the setup into our usual 2 to 3 day provisioning window. We should have communicated that more clearly.

On pricing, you are right: we prioritize new generation hardware and a high performance network. That said, we can often tune configurations to hit a better price to performance point.

What would it take to make this a 5 star experience for you? Faster provisioning, clearer updates, or a closer fit on pricing and specs. I am happy to review your workload and propose options. You can reach me at simon@datapacket.com or via your account manager. Our team is available 24/7 to help.

Best in class support and hardware

Datapacket provides best in class hosting and customer support at a reasonable and predictable price. There are virtually no other providers that offer managed bare metal servers with the level of capability that they do. My company migrated our production ClickHouse cluster from AWS to DataPacket and performance has been absolutely stellar. Their network has been rock solid and we've had a great experience working with their CS team managing server issues. They've also been very prompt in accommodating our requests for customizations like dedicated LAN between servers and using the best NICs for the level of bandwidth we're pushing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asks.

We’ve had a very frustrating experience…

We’ve had a very frustrating experience with support during a critical production outage. One of our servers (DP-21048) went down and became unreachable via SSH for over 3 hours. Despite multiple follow-ups and confirmations from our side (including providing the correct SSH key and asking for a root password reset), we received vague responses and no actionable update. The server remained marked as unreachable in the Datapacket dashboard, and we were left completely blocked during a full production downtime with hundreds of users affected. Escalation was promised but didn’t seem to lead to any resolution. We expected a much faster and more structured incident response for such a critical issue.

Hi Quentin,

I’m truly sorry for the frustration caused during the DP-21048 outage – we're committed to doing better. Following our internal review, we consider this an isolated incident and not reflective of the service we've consistently delivered over the past year.

I reached out via email after the downtime but didn’t receive a response, which limited my ability to assist further. That said, I’m still here and ready to discuss this with you directly.

Best IP-Transit provider 10/10

Working with Datapacket has been an absolute pleasure! I used their IP-Transit service with DDoS protection in Warsaw, and everything worked flawlessly. The service is extremely stable, latency is low, and the pricing is very reasonable for the quality you get.

Their DDoS protection performs great - handled everything without any issues. Huge thanks to Kryštof, my account manager, who was super professional, always on point, and made the whole experience smooth and worry-free. Support responses were fast and helpful every time I needed assistance.

Big shoutout to the technical team as well - on the first day, when there was an issue, they even sent a technician to the datacenter who resolved it. That kind of dedication really makes a difference.

Highly recommended!
