$1.99 payment followed by an attempted $29.99 charge
I paid $1.99 through DaVinci AI. Before I cancelled anything, my account page showed Free Plan, and my billing history only showed the $1.99 payment.
Shortly afterwards, my bank notified me that DaVinci AI had attempted to charge my Mastercard $29.99. My bank rejected the transaction and blocked my card for security reasons.
I contacted DaVinci AI support several times and asked them to explain what the $29.99 charge was for and to provide evidence showing when and how I had agreed to a recurring $29.99 subscription.
Their replies repeatedly stated that I had “initiated” a subscription, but they did not provide the checkout page, the subscription terms, the renewal price disclosure, or any evidence of my consent to the recurring $29.99 charge.
They eventually confirmed in writing that the subscription had been cancelled and that no further charges would be applied.
What concerns me most is that before cancellation my account still displayed “Free Plan”, while a $29.99 subscription charge was nevertheless attempted.
I strongly recommend that anyone using this service carefully checks the subscription terms, saves screenshots, monitors their bank account, and keeps all correspondence.
My experience has made me very uncomfortable with the billing process and the lack of clear answers from support.

I wish I could test out the video AI models and features and see if which AI model would be best to use and if it would really be worth subscribing. I feel like I'm taking a shot in the dark. I know about the trial feature, but still, that's just me. I'm picky about money. The still photographic realistic image creation is very good using Nano Banana 2, but the particle effects (or snow falling) looked kind of unrealistic.
