Daymans DIY is a family run DIY and hardware store which has been based in the heart of Leicester since 1928. Our business has been handed down through generations of our family. Founded by William Edward Dayman in 1928 on the same road that we are based today. The shop is currently ran by Steve Dayman (3rd generation) & son Adam Dayman (4th generation). Excellent personal customer service is at the heart of our business and we always have the kettle on and a hot cup of tea for anyone who comes to our store. Whether its to have a brew whilst they wait for their order or to have a browse around the shop. Many of our customers have become friends over the years and we know them by name as they know us. Our shop is an Aladdin's cave of DIY and hardware including: Tools, Paint, Electrical, Building Materials, Plumbing, Garden Materials and more. We currently have over 5000 products on our website which is constantly growing. Our website and customer service are managed solely in house to offer the best service possible. We offer a number of bespoke services such as bespoke builds and free timber cutting.

Amazing team
Amazing team! I placed an order for my MDF sheet and requested it to be cut. I received confirmation and updates as it was processed and completed. The service was friendly and excellent, with my planks even being carried to my car. Thank you! I'll definitely return for my next purchase.

Dayman diy was by far the cheapest, fast delivery and the wood was cut to our precise measurements first class service first class product, the wall panels are just perfect.

Excellent company
My order was dispatched very promptly. I contacted Daymans as there was a problem with the delivery, and they responded immediately. The problem was not Daymans' fault and it was eventually rectified.

Great customer service. Recommended!
Good product (primer paint by 151 Coatings) at a competitive price with reasonable postage. Significant delay at the hands of Royal Mail (which, in fairness, was probably caused by snow) and an emailed enquiry was dealt with swiftly and very helpfully by Adam Dayman (general manager). Full marks for customer service - and it's good to deal with a family company, instead of one of the massive corporates. Would definitely buy from them again 👍
