Two months ago I started asking Jimdo to support me while I was changing my website address and email address - a common request.
Throughout this long drawn out process where it takes them a week to reply to emails I've been misinformed or offered inadequate advice. The most frustrating aspect of this is being told that something should work when it doesn't. Repeatedly. Week after week.
I had one break from this hell after 6 weeks when someone called Camille called me and solved a problem and corrected misinformation in a single short phone call.
But then another problem arose with my new email address not working and someone called Davide who repeatedly tells me that Rackspace says it works and that he 'feels my pain' - what a thing to say when you're responsible for prolonging the pain by not providing solutions. 2 months of dealing with this man and when I ask to speak with someone else he ignores the request.
How is it that as a paying customer I'm always wrong? When I'm told it is working when it's not? Do these people think that we have nothing better to do that fill their inbox with support requests? Sadly I have the long email threads that back up this sorry tale.
I've been with this company 15 years. I can't believe I pay for this service - now into the thousands of pounds. Unbelieveably awful. What was a good company is no more. How about some proper support? I'm only trying to make a new email address work!

Several times i tried to build my websites with wordpress, but that's way to complicated, jimdo is still the best for me, use it sinds the beginning when the founders themselves did the customer service. (is Powen still there?) Just not the 5th star because of the google adsense issue, there is now a TXT code file option but just for google verification, you still can't do the adsense TXT file thing. Prices are tripled since, but hey, that's also the case in the supermarked these day. Lot's of option and very easy to build, i think i will stay another 10 years, thanks!

I stopped using their services in 2021 - I didn't renew anything, had every payment up to date and deleted my account. Now they have sold my information to a debt collector and are trying to claim I owe money - but there's no listing as to what for. There's nothing owed, they have provided no service, there's no website and there's no account with them.

The customer and technical service is terrible. They take several days to respond to emails, and the responses do not help resolve issues. They also do not offer any live phone number to contact. I was unable to access my account for years, and now they are trying to collect payment pretty aggressively. I would never recommend this service.

+ Great overall experience and relatively easy to understand.
+ Good and fast tools to build a functioning website
+ Amazing SEO options (I grew from being ranked 40th to 9th within a year and that alone helped me triple my client base)
+ Fair pricing
However:
- super slow customer support and they don't keep their promise (on the START plan they promise / promote to answer within 1-2 working days, but usually I have to wait at least 3-4 days for an answer, which really sucks and makes your marketing promise an incredibly empty one.)
- very limited options for implementing important marketing tools such as Meta Pixel and Google Tag.
- No blog / news section possible (but hey, we're in 2025)
- No simple tools such as tables (didn't these things exist in the 90ies already?)
- Limitations within the way pics and videos are shown (no video player, only YouTube links)
- Clients are asked to accept cookies, without which they don't even see videos, insetad they see something that looks like an error, which sucks.
All in all 3 stars are fair, I guess. Probably it depends on what you're expecting from the website.

I signed up for a website builder which I never ended up using. I did not realize I signed up for auto renew and the Jimdo emails were going to my spam, so a year later I didn't know it renewed until I got the charge. It's not cheap so a tried to work with their customer service and was hoping they would be understanding and at least meet me half way. Nope, they cited the contract and that was that. I understand it was my fault, but I will not do business with any company that shows zero understanding when honest mistakes happen.
Be very careful when signing up to turn off auto renew and make sure to check your spam!
