We’ve recently had solar panels and batteries installed by DES Renewable Energy Ltd. We were kept fully informed throughout the process from survey to installation. Everything went to schedule. On completion, we were shown how to manage the solution.
From a customer perspective, it would be useful to have a single point for all communications rather than different staff for each stage.

Cannot fault DES Renewable Energy all their staff have always been very polite and helpful. Our first contact was with James who was very knowledgeable and informative and never pushy unlike some other companies. We were kept informed of every stage and everything was made clear and simple. Special mention to James the electrician and Brandon the roofer who despite snow, ice and freezing temperatures turned up on time and got the job completed to schedule, and tidied up afterwards.

Great service from DES, from the initial contact all the way to the completion of our project.
We had numerous quotes from various suppliers and DES were as competitive as the "Big Boys" and we were swayed towards them due to the fact everything they did was controlled and executed "inhouse", no unknown subcontracted work like other companies.
Rich looked after us on the sales side, Matt for the survey and then Ben, Stuart and Paul executed the install exactly as promised to the timescales laid out. the system was up and running on the 18th Dec and already generating savings in the dead of winter!

My only criticism - Octopus don't currently support the SolaX system for the "intelligent flux" tariff however there is still plenty of other suppliers to choose from.
Would and already have recommended them to others!

From initial contact right through to installation and subsequent follow up, the team at DES Renewable Energy Ltd have been great. We got helpful and sensible advice regarding the type of set up we would need. The hardware and software system is great (and all seems to be working very well - we are generating even in December's overcast conditions). Order processing was efficient as was obtaining the necessary authority to generate. All staff at DES are friendly, knowledgable and helpful. The survey, scaffold erection and subsequent system install went smoothly - DES were very flexible in adjusting the instal date due to last-minute probelms we found with our roof. There are so many companies to choose from and it can be very daunting to know who and what is best - I am glad we went with DES and would thoroughly recommend.

Having researched many Solar Companies, and also having 2 different companies visit my home, the only company that gave me confidence was DES Renewable Energy. From the initial consultation with Darren, to the final sign off with Jordan I felt I was in safe hands. Even with a few minor issues on the project ( one of which was beyond DES RENEWABLE ENERGY’s control….part from China) the team were great. I would have no problem recommending DES RENEWABLE ENERGY to family and friends.

Super helpful sales team who helped me choose between a couple of options. Communication was great in terms of fitting in the timings with my roofer. The installers were professional and they system is working nicely.

Really pleased with DES Renewable throughout the process of having solar PV and batteries installed. The sales team were very open and informative without any pressure. The surveyor was pragmatic and helpful - my roof has a few constraints so they did well to maximise the number of panels. The installers were prompt and very tidy. Overall a great experience, I have also bought more batteries through DES and that went smoothly as well.

DES were helpful and communicative throughout the quotation and design stage. The system choice fits perfectly with our needs and the price was very competitive against the market. Couumincation continued to be good leading up to, and following installation. Install itself went smoothly, with roof works completed in a morning and a couple of days for the excellent electrician (Rob) to connect everything up. Rob's install included setting us up on the GivEnergy portal. Great experience overall and have already recommended to others.

Brilliant company to work with. Set us up with the system that worked best for us. Brilliant communication, always able to speak to someone in person with any queries. Installation was kept clean & tidy & they cleaned up after themselves

Really great - very pleased with the help in design and then installation

DES were outstanding from first contact to completion. Initial discussions and design phase were interactive and addressed our needs completely. The proposal was thorough with high level of detail. The whole process was managed effectively by DES and I always felt reassured and informed that I could talk directly to people directly responsible for their part in the project. All legal certificates and approvals were received together in a single document and after service care offered. Delighted were chose DES for our solar and battery installation and we highly recommend them.

DES have transformed how we now view our electricity usage. The whole process from quotation to installation went according to plan and was fast. We were kept up to date on progress all the time, the installation was faster and simpler than we imagined. The scaffolders, the solar panel installers and the electrician were all very proffesional and polite. It has taken me a few year to convince my husband to geet soalr panelsand now we don't look back, thank you DES.

From my original enquiry to the final installation they helped me all the way.
When I first started to look into solar power i spoke to a number of companies, in most instances, apart from DES, I was dealt with buy a call centre, then all i had were phone calls trying to push me into their system, most times there was an additional discount if I signed up there and then, very pushy. DES never tried to push me into a deal, they answered all my questions, provided professional advise.
The survey, installation team and office team were very good.

A good experience from this company from the initial proposal through installation to final sign off. At all times they kept me in the loop and provided all the information that I needed. The system has been working for many months and providing power and additional revenue from power sold back via the grid. Great installation and service 5 star.

A Very Good Experience
The installation was carried out very professionally and exactly to my requirements by DES personnel both on-site and in the office who were responsive and pleasant at all times. The system installed by DES that I have, has performed correctly from the outset and I have the comfort of knowing that should any problems or queries arise in the future DES will be there to advise. I can highly recommend DES to anybody who is considering installing a solar PV system with or without a battery. DES are the experts you can trust!

Throughout the whole decision making and instalation process DES provided comprehensive and timely information. While they were very engaged with the process, I did not feel pressurised at any stage including an initial 3 month period for me to complete further research. Installation was extremely efficient and was completed ahead of schedule. I would certainly recommend them if you are considering a solar installation

Excellent service and flawless system performance

I had a fantastic experience working with DES Renewable Energy on the installation of our solar panel system with Tesla Powerwall 3 and EV charger. From the initial consultation to handling the DNO approval, their team was clear, professional, and responsive.

Although the original plan was for a later install, DES managed to bring the installation forward — which was a very welcome surprise. The system has now been running flawlessly for 5 months, and I’m very pleased with the overall performance and the choice to go with DES.
