Was having network issues with my xz2…
Was having network issues with my xz2 and after months of calls to the network provider I was told there's no problem with the the network it's the phone I explained it's still the same even if I put the sim into a different phone they insisted it's the phone so I sent the phone away to sony in the mean time I was calling the network and sure enough they fixed the problem I then got a message from Sony saying we've found the problem it's the charging port unfortunately it's not covered by warranty even though the phone is only 8mths old but we'll fix it for £219 I refused and explained the issues I was having they wouldn't listen anyway I paid £25 to have the phone returned when I got it back there we're chip marks all over each side of the phone and the charging port wasn't even put back together properly it was in a slanted angle that it was difficult to even connect the USB charger seriously Sony thanks for fcuking my perfectly good phone up,
Warranty Disgrace
Bought an XA1 only two months ago. The phone worked great, until one morning the phone stopped charging.
The phone was in great condition and has been looked after very well. After I sent it back to Sony, they told me it would cost £50 for repair. the warranty would not cover the cost because there has been damage to the charging connector.
Absolute nonsense, I have owned Sony mobiles for 7 years and have never had an issue like this. There is something faulty and they don't want to admit liability.
Great stuff from Sony, on the eve of Christmas they have given me the following options -
Repair for £50
Send back the faulty phone, for the cost of P&P
Recycle my £180 two months old phone, and receive a £20 voucher
Shocking from Sony.
They sent me a photo to 'prove' the damage to the charging connector. True, there was damage, but this was not done by me. I wish I had taken a photo before I sent this away.
Disgrace

Stop buying Sony
Have a Sony Xperia x performance and was told that I will get the Android Oreo in October 2017.... now it's August 2018.... still no update !
They promise that some of their devices will get the Android Pie update in November, haha what a laugh🤣 like that's going to happen!
How about making good on their first promise?
I have now stopped buying Sony devices for me and my company, using Samsung now days and get my updates as they should be 😁
My recommendation is to STOP BUYING SONY.
There is so many better options it there today, use them!
Cheers
Sony Xperia Care - No Care
This is a disaster of a company, customer services is shocking, no support, no care from Xperia Care.
My phone is broken almost two months now, they kept it and they ignore all my emails.
THIEVES! Be aware!
Great phone but poor customer service
Great phones but poor customer service and support. I had a XZ1 Compact for only a month before it suddenly bricked and had it sent back for 'repair'. It took a month before I got it back and the replacement unit had a faulty microphone. The support agents don't really care about your problem, only said to return it again, and again. When I complained about the product and service, the support agent just ends the chat without saying anything.
Sony Mobile Warrantry Shocking Service
I had many software issues which meant my phone would not stay connected to WIFI correctly and it would loose data connection and need restarting all the time.
It also became less sensitive on the sides of screen.
Due to some cracks on the screen, they told me that it could not be repaired (not even just the WIFI/data connectivity).
And I needed to pay 199£ for a replacement phone plus delivery of around 20£ish
The phone cost me about 160£ delivered from Sony Mobile Ebay store when I first bought it.
ABSOLUTE RIP OFF, SHOCKING SERVICE FOR A 3 MONTH OLD PHONE.
I should of read more reviews as there are lots of problems with Sony phones.
Sony warranty service is terrible.
I had a Sony Xperia Compact phone that had a defective microphone. The sound was quiet and muffled to anyone listening on the other end. By the time I realized how serious this problem was, it was too late to return the phone, but I expected I would be covered under Sony’s warranty. I was WRONG.
Sony does not stand behind any product sold on the Internet. They will tell you the device was not sold by an authorized seller, so they will not honor the warranty. Why should it matter where you buy the phone? If you buy it brand new, and it has Sony’s name on it, Sony should stand by their warranty.
What is worse is that Sony gave me a return authorization number, so I actually did send the phone in before they notified me that it would be returned without being repaired. It took ONE FULL MONTH just for them to return it. I doubt they could have fixed the problem anyway.
In summary, my experience is that Sony makes low quality junk, and they do not stand behind it.
Appalling
Appalling, horrific experience trying to have same phone repaired for same fault for 2nd time in 4 months.

Avoid buying Sony, as you won't get any decent service if anything goes wrongl!
Sony technicians broke my phone, returned it falling apart and offered £300 replacement (the phone can be bought not from Sony for just above £200). Nearly every representative I spoke to was rude and patronising. None of them show the smallest amount of willingness to solve the issue. In the end I was told that it's my problem and I will not receive any help from Sony. Now I'm waiting for their complaints procedures and intend to take it further for damage of my property. Truly astonishing attitude across employees of the company of this magnitude. For the sake of actually helping their customer, due to their own serviceman shortcomings, they lost custom worth thousands of pounds, as I will never buy any product of this company again and spread the word as far and wide as I can.
My experience at Sony Mobile UK has …
My experience at Sony Mobile UK has been despicable. I have sent my phone back for repair three times, each time coming back still broken or the same problem occurs within a week. I have been without a fully functioning phone now because of this for months, which has been a huge inconvenience. I have wasted hours and hours (seriously, too many hours) talking on the phone with tech support or sales or complaints managers and talking on the online chat - not to mention all the time wasted posting the phones, clearing them of data, doing software repairs, restoring them and setting them up how I like it only to do a factory reset yet again. The tech team are now saying they can't help and sent me to sales, and the sales team and saying they can't help and sent me to tech. It's been an exhausting, infuriating, belittling ordeal and I will definitely not be buying from Sony Mobile again and highly recommend no one else does either.
really disappointed with my latest …
really disappointed with my latest purchase. Won't be going back for more
Sony mobile Phone..
Sony mobile Phone... The worst expirience ever... I would never hope anyone have to own a sony.. It is better to get a foot hard in the face than having a sony Phone. I am on the 4. Z5 premium, changed on warenty, still it is just shi...t. I the future I will rather jump out from a tall building than owning Any Sony product
Just a bad produckt. Sony
Wonderful and trustworthy company
Sony xperia..ha ha a joke
Sony xperia..ha ha a joke! Sony the biggest name in electronics.. I have an ongoing problem with my Xperia for months, not much of a problem you just can't use it☹! It's been returned 3 times now and still not repaired, come on Sony employ Technicians not monkeys. This is my third Xperia and it will be my last!!!!
Appalling service
Appalling service, had recycled my phone as I didn't receive emails from them (went to spam) and they never attempted to call me. Now saying they have followed protocol and will not even offer me a replacement device that I would happily pay for. Have filed papers to go a further route as I am totally enraged by the customer service (or lack of) and the blatant greed of Sony. Have moved over to Samsung as a result on both my TV and Phone. Will be changing my laptop also in the coming weeks.
Failed to honor warranty
Failed to honor warranty, where a brand new phone was damaged, probably by a heat when charging, furthermore, when I paid for a rapair, the original part wasn't returned to me.
How low can they get?
Totally agree with ever other bad review. This company is APPALLING! My 4 month old brand new Xperia XZ phone 'over-heated' whilst it was on charge over night. Sent it in to be repaired - they said there is a faulty mainboard which is why it over-heated, but apparently on this brand new phone there is a small dent (which is impossible to believe on a phone that has no cosmetic damage and was always looked after with a cover and screen protector) so my Warrantee is now void, they are now trying to charge me £273 for a phone replacement when the fault (the faulty mainboard) is not even my fault!!
Additionally, have had to wait 4 weeks to even receive a quote from Sony, and the quote does not even go into detail about what is wrong with the phone. It is only after nearly 10 phone calls throughout the 4 weeks that I have finally found out what is wrong with my mobile. DISGUSTING! Have always had Sony phones, and so has all my family - Mother, Father, brother and sisters. NEVER AGAIN will we buy a Sony Mobile after this awful treatment!
The issue is as yet still unresolved.
I'll Never Buy Sony Again!
9 month old Experia 5 failed to restart after a software update. Sony won't fix the problem & won't replace the phone as there is cosmetic damage to the case. This issue has been going on for nearly 3 weeks & has been referred to their 'Escalation Team'. However, this team doesn't seem to realise that their role is to add urgency to the proceedings. After 4 days, still faced with a wall of silence. It would seem that Sony's policy is to frustrate the customer to such a degree they give up. Such a shame as for the last 30 years, I've held the Sony name in such high regard.
I guess this review will have the same impact upon Sony as the previous ones & will change nothing. Caveat emptor!
