New Sofa. Isabelle

Went in today to order a new sofa, the whole process was easy and quick, Isabelle looked after us so well. She was so patient even when we were indecisive. Props to her. Looking forward to receiving the sofa.

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. I ordered a chair which arrived and I’m happy with that but I paid €20 more for easy glides. These never arrived. 3 months later and no sign after several requests for calls back and many emails but no follow up thread. It’s shocking how something so simple cannot be resolved after such a long time. I will think of doing business elsewhere in future.

Terrible experience in dfs Blanchardstown

I actually don’t know how these people are still open in Ireland . I was treated like I was wasting the staffs time the girl could not be bothered to answer any questions and kept looking at her phone like I was keeping her for something . Went to a competitor close by and the total opposite they could not do enough for me and never pushed. Bad experience in Blanchardstown dfs

We ordered a sofa took 2 months longer that expected date then we got the extra coverage for leather care, when it was needed we were told we were not covered, if I can give you one bit of advice stay away from DFS, we have had more positive experiences with smaller firms

Avoid this company Tried to scam me with display model

I purchased a foot stool guaranteed delivery latest mid December- after numerous attempts to find out delivery time I found out it wont arrive until 23rd of December and I won't receive it, I requested a refund on numerous occasions the store manager is to call me going on weeks now. The customer service is disgraceful no call backs no response. I just want my money back and go elsewhere. I do not recommend DFS let you down and not able to speak to the store, requests constantly fobbed off ringing UK and same just fob you off. Keep saying another 72 hours another 72 hours DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE 😢 No product no refund Update Dfs delivered a used display model and tried to make out it was my item their UK service told me Im right my item is still getting shipped - I'm sick of making calls and emails I'll be dropping the item back and demanding a full refund

We purchased sofas based on a…

We purchased sofas based on a pre-Christmas delivery guarantee. However, the sofas will not arrive before Christmas.

I have called customer service three times. Each time, I was told they acknowledged the sofas were supposed to be delivered earlier, that the issue had been noted, and that someone would call me the next day. No one followed through.

Delays can happen, but the lack of proactive updates and the repeated failure to revert is unacceptable. Anyone considering buying from here should be aware that the customer service is not merely poor; it is effectively negative

No communication with their delivery team

"our team aim to answer your call in 5 minutes" is the most frustrating thing to listen to on the phone when you're on hold for an eternity. It's a lesson to shop local as you can ring the store where you purhcased your sofa from if you purchase it locally. We had horrendous issues with the delivery and in fairness the store manager in Blanchardstown, the branch that we bought the sofa in, did ring at one stage, but he said he'd sort the delivery issue and phone us back the next day and never did. The women and men that I spoke to in the customer service were so courteous and so kind - however, unfortunately, I would swap that for someone rude who was able to get through to the delivery team that kept failing to deliver the sofa. The DFS delivery team must run completely seperately to the customer service people as it was painful to try sort out the delivery issues. The delivery team had my wrong postcode (no idea how as it was correct on all correspondance up to that point, including on the order) and they never rang to double check the postcode or ask for any delivery information, not one phone call was made, they were happier to mark it as a failed delivery, each week, and bring it back to the depot. You can phone DFS customer service until you're blue in the face but that won't change it. The sofa to be fair is lovely, and the team who set it up were lovely, and the people on the customer service line were lovely, but it was an awful experience to sit but couchless waiting on failed deliveries week after week.

So ive been having ongoing problems…

So ive been having ongoing problems with dfs im severely disabled I paid cash instore 2 weeks ago for power recliners to suit my needs £1677.00 I got rid of my furniture after they confirmed delivery that delivery didn't turn up customer services from both delivery company and dfs was well below par admitted by themselves, they couldn't give a date for delivery because of stock delays my issue is if you have no stock of said items why take my money last week I was told I could have refund manager would send me link so I could input my bank details (even though they should be giving me cash has that's how I paid) this email has not been forthcoming so im struggling to get my money back i can't buy else where has i can't afford to and I will be lucky to get furniture this side of Christmas im upset and heartbroken all rolled into 1, I contacted them yesterday they said 21 days before it can be processed ( even though was told 7 to 10 days by manager and the CEO said they would issue it quicker ) today I contacted them 3 days before they will contact me so enough is enough will contact Solicitor today, I'v emailed CEO 4 times about all of this no 1 cares! If I could give this company 0 I would so let down sat in my bed till they decide to pay up!

Stokol manor

Experience was very good . Had great help in choices sizes colors and what would fit and what would not . From beginning to end a joyful time, can wait to receive our new corner unit , with 5 yrs
guarantee on spills and accidents , no limit on how many call outs. 🥂

No confidence.

I believe that my report is going to be the first of many! 12 weeks ago I ordered two 2 seat sofas which were delivered within 2 weeks. Delivery guys were great and helped my wife and I put them in situ no complaint at that point. I also ordered at the time a single reclining chair. Unfortunately the delivery date was kept to 12 weeks and stating that the chair would be delivered to DFS on the 11th of November. The date was changed to the 25th at the last moment.
After all the time waiting I contacted the call centre and appeared to get the most unhelpful agent available. They were unable to give any reason as to the delay and had no record on their system. Also that they would get a person to call me back with a reason for the delay. So at this present time I have not much confidence in a firm date. All I can state is that watch this space!

If I could give a “0” star I would

If I could give a “0” star I would. I purchased quite a few things from DFS that included a dining set, 3 beds, 3 mattresses, cushions and some other items.
We spent quite a lot of money in one super king size mattresses that was supposed to offer the comfort needed. It’s quite poor quality. The springs go down on the left side to the point that it looks like a hole.the mattress was purchased at the end of 2023, according to customer service is out of guarantee and said that they could only provide me with a third party company telephone number and they could do maintenance to the mattress at an extra cost.
Regarding the dining set, the leather of the chairs are peeling out.

Freya horrid odour

Two years into owning a DFS Freya sofa and it is still giving a horrible strong glue odour of every day, had the service team out to look at it and it a quick spray of fabreeze, they were told it wouldn't solve the problem as it is a glue issue, really disappointed with their attitude and furniture, stay clear of these cowboys

Abysmal Customer Service Failed Delivery

We ordered a sofa on 18th September as it was in store and was marked fir immediate delivery. Now nearly a month later it is still sitting in Edinburgh warehouse when it should have been sent to Glasgow. It still hasn't been uplifted from Edinburgh and because it was "immediate delivery" we got rid of our old sofa. Now we have nothing to sit on and their lousy customer service cannot tell us when it will be delivered.
All in all a poor show. I know where we will not be going should we need to renew sofa... Anywhere but DFS.
They say they have 4.8 customer review score on Trust Pilot.... Well this is one unhappy customer who in their experience a 1 star review is all they are worth

Worst furniture experience

Having purchased 2 leather sofas and a footstool at a cost of £2300 about a year after the Covid epidemic first the footstool filling lost all its firmness so then had a guy visit and suggested leaving the stool in the sun to recover the firmest ( really? ) or heat with a hair dryer second visit another guy fitted more thicker foam which was better than just a pity the guy left the leather far from equal on all sides.Worst nightmare was having to send one of the sofas back to get the head rest areas fitted with more fitting as they were so out of shape so when the sofa was returned it looked as it had been deliberately ruined as the front was not fitted properly the back was all distorted and black marks were all in various places so refused to except it and told the delivery guys to take the 3 items back as they did and down came a temporary sofa that looked as if it had come from a building site we put up with it for a few days of covering the disgusting thing up then dumped it outside ready for collecting and put up with garden recliner chairs for 3+ months when instead of 2 separate coloured sofas they we’re both the same colours so had to have another 3+ months for the correct coloured sofa which may I add cost another £600 as the original supplier had ceased trading ( What a surprise ) After all the stress we were then offered a pitiful £150 compensation for all stressful experience
So wish we had read the lousy reviews about this company!!!!!!!
