Ive dealt with DH Styling a couple of times now and I cannot fault anything about them.

They have gone above and beyond for me when things haven't been quite right through no fault of there own and i wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Amazing company to deal with

Amazing company to deal with. Nothing was a hassle to explain things to me. Bought the virtual dash, 12” screen and LED key. They sorted the key for me also. I would highly recommend this company !

Use dhsytling amazing work

Honestly rate these guys a lot I got ambient lighting done with dhstyling and honestly better paying the 300 pound then going to anyone else and them not doing it properly they also supply and fit it then in and it was very quick service for the work these lads had to do with a lot of care and attention in the work too also comes with an app with loads of colour plus they can fit any extras in that you want, but if your looking for making your car different and a bit of you these are the people you want to go to they also helped me with quotes for honeycomb grills and steering wheels so I’m definitely going back to get the work done

Got my steering wheel done by DHStyling, very professional, great bunch of lads. Would definitely recommend these lot for anyone who wants car customisations. Definitely the best in the game!

10/10 the boys absolutely smashed it, great quality of work done on my car, for 800 stars and ambient lighting, was easy to book in and everything was explained and done perfectly. Would definitely recommend to anyone

The product you purchased was a standard starlight kit. At no point do we advertise, promote, or claim that this kit includes a “twinkle” feature. This expectation was not part of the product description.

After installing the kit, you requested a refund on the basis that it did not have this feature. As the product was supplied correctly and as described, and had already been installed, we were unable to accept this request.

In terms of communication, you were not ignored. We responded to your messages and addressed your query. We also do not use automated reply systems, so the claim that you only received automated responses is incorrect.

We always aim to support customers where possible, but we cannot accept responsibility for expectations that were not part of the product specification.

Installed G series style screen myself…

Installed G series style screen myself and wouldn't work correctly, uninstalled and tried again still no luck so booked in for them to uninstall and install properly 😄.
After paying my £90 and booking in for Sunday afternoon was told you need to download a app and use Dab through that. Could have told me that on WhatsApp.
Others there were complaining about the service.
Con Artists Be wise and find somewhere else, You have been WARNED…,OH AND YOU DID NOT INSTALL IT, I DID AND YOU JUST TOLD ME TO USE APP, PLEASE GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT.
And I wasn’t the only one that was pi**ed off with the service that day 😤

We need to clarify the situation, as this does not accurately reflect what happened.

You initially contacted us with several issues following a self-installation of your G-series style screen. The problems you experienced were related to the installation not being completed correctly. Despite our ongoing support via WhatsApp, the issues could not be resolved remotely.

To help, we offered you a professional installation at a reduced rate (£90, below our standard pricing). You attended your booking, and we carried out the installation, after which the unit was fully working as intended.

Your later concern regarding DAB radio is not a fault with the product or installation. DAB functionality on these units depends on either:

Retaining the original system, or
Using an additional DAB module, or
Using a DAB app via Apple CarPlay / Android Auto

This was explained to you on the day, along with the available options.

We understand you would have preferred this information earlier, however the system itself was installed correctly and is functioning as designed.

We strongly reject the claims made about our business. We provided support throughout, completed the installation professionally, and ensured the product was working before you left.

Avoid completely - No ownership

A number of the points made in the reply here are disputed statements made elsewhere. This matter is currently the subject of active court proceedings, and will be determined by a judge in due course.

Avoid completely. Paid for a professional ambient lighting installation and got a rushed job, zero accountability, and a 144 mile round trip for something they could have told me over the phone in 10 seconds.

On the day of collection the car wouldn't even start because they forgot to plug the key detection module back in during reassembly. A fundamental part of the car, overlooked. Fixed on the spot but tells you everything about the attention to detail on my job.

The rear ambient strips flickered from day one every time the engine was running. When I raised it, instead of taking any responsibility, I was immediately fed technical jargon about "vehicle-side power supply conditions" and "alternator output characteristics" to make it sound like my car was the problem. Days of back and forth, being argued with, being deflected, and being refused any contribution toward fuel despite living 80 miles away. No accountability whatsoever. In the end they had told me to come down and it would take them 30 minutes to run some cables to my backdoors

Eventually made the 144 mile round trip back. The so called fix? "Keep the brightness under 30% in the app." That's it. No rewiring, no cable work, nothing. A 15 minute appointment to tell me to turn it down. At 30% brightness you can barely see the footwells. That is not a fix, that is covering up a wiring problem they did not want to own, although they had said they would rewire it.

They proudly boast about 4000+ installs, but what that actually means is they apply one fixed method to one model of car and do not bother testing whether it actually works properly before handing the keys back. No individual quality check, no proper handover test, just a production line approach with the customer left to discover the problems themselves.

To top it all off, when they finally booked me in they had the audacity to message me saying they were carrying out the work "free of charge as warranty work" as if they were doing me some kind of favour. Let that sink in. They made an error on the installation, argued with me for weeks, refused to cover my fuel costs, sent me on a 144 mile round trip, and then wanted a pat on the back for fixing their own mistake for free. The arrogance was unreal.

I was never told about the 30% brightness limitation when the kit was sold to me. I was never told on the phone when I first reported the fault. Instead I was made to feel like I was wrong, argued with repeatedly, and sent on a 144 mile round trip for information that could have been given in a single message.

I am currently looking into whether this warrants a small claims court case for my travel costs and the substandard service received. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 a service must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, and based on everything above I have serious doubts that it was. Anyone considering using them should think very carefully.

Zero accountability. Zero quality control. Zero aftercare.

We take feedback seriously, but we do need to correct a number of points here as this version of events is heavily misleading.

Firstly, we openly acknowledge that a connector for the key detection module was not plugged back in during reassembly. However, this was identified immediately at handover and rectified on the spot within minutes. While not ideal, this was a minor oversight that was corrected straight away and had no lasting impact on the vehicle.

Regarding the installation itself, this ambient lighting kit was fitted to your BMW 1 Series using the same method we have successfully used on a very large number of identical vehicles over the past 4 years (well into the thousands). At the time of handover, with the engine running, everything was functioning correctly.

The issue you later reported (flickering when the engine was running) points to vehicle-side power supply behaviour, specifically instability on the factory door circuits under engine load. These are the only available power sources in the doors for this type of installation, and this behaviour is not caused by the installation or the product itself, it is specific to how your vehicle is supplying power.

Despite this not being an installation fault, we still made every effort to assist you and maintain goodwill. We offered, completely free of charge and beyond our obligations, to carry out a full rewire, running stable power from inside the vehicle directly to the doors. This is a significantly more involved solution than a standard installation and was offered purely as a gesture to resolve your specific vehicle’s behaviour.

When you returned, the situation was discussed on-site with the team. You were advised that reducing brightness would stabilise the system without requiring additional wiring, and you accepted this at the time before leaving. This was presented as an option, not a refusal to help.

It is also important to note that following this, you continued to push for compensation and refunds, despite:

The installation being completed correctly
The issue stemming from your vehicle’s power characteristics
A free rewire solution already being offered

At a later stage, we even went further and offered to:

Proceed with the rewire
Cover your fuel costs for both trips

This clearly demonstrates that we did not avoid responsibility or provide “zero aftercare” — in fact, we went above and beyond what would reasonably be expected.

Finally, the claim that we operate with “zero quality control” or a “production line approach” is simply not accurate. Our experience with thousands of installations is exactly what allows us to deliver consistent results, and in rare edge cases such as this, we actively work with the customer to find a solution, as we did here.

STAY AWAY!!

I bought a digital dashboard for my bmw.

Had issues from the start, when asking them for help via whatsapp. Was told the person was not around for about 2 weeks. So had to wait.

Some of the replies when asking for help was very unprofessional and sometimes even avoided my initial query.
With some answers and I quote
"Bro, I already explained this"

Being told another customer could get their android play to work and will forward them to me to help. Surely as a company you should be able to help. Also they didn't forward me anyone to help.

One of the worst customer service I have received in a long time.

Also the digital dashboard can fail your MOT in the UK so don't bother buying it!

At the time of your enquiry, the team member who specialises in these products was on annual leave. You were informed of this and asked to allow a short period for a detailed response so that we could provide accurate technical support. As soon as they returned, we resumed assisting you.

Your query related specifically to connecting Android Auto. While we provided as much guidance as possible, this can sometimes depend on individual device compatibility and settings. As part of trying to assist further, we mentioned another customer who had successfully used this feature and offered to connect you, this was intended as additional help, not a replacement for our own support.

Regarding the tone of messages, the conversation became more informal over time on both sides. At no point was any offence intended, and we always aimed to assist you throughout.

Finally, we would like to address the statement about MOT failure. These dashboards do not inherently fail an MOT when installed and functioning correctly, and this claim is misleading.
