Dinnerly offers discount on first 5 boxes but if something goes wrong and you need CS they are incompetent and if you miss some of the 5 due to CS (I missed two weeks) you lose your discount all together.

We had a death in our family on the day our first delivery was due (Tues) and had to go out of town. The box was delivered & a neighbor put it in the fridge. We returned on Friday, I was planning to use the ingredients & cook dinner. There were no recipes in the box, although in LARGE print on the "How it Works" page of their website it clearly states "Dinnerly brings RECIPES & ingredients to your door.." I tried reach customer service by email & by phone, but they are unreachable on the weekends. I tried to log in to the website, but couldn't. First thing Monday morning, I reached out to the help line. The customer service lady was also unable to access my account for over 30 minutes. She then told me that recipe cards are NOT included, & that I could have downloaded them, even though I had no access to my account. Most of the food spoiled over the weekend. I told them I wanted to cancel. I was then told that I was already charged for the next box and they could not refund.
NOTE: the future box (which I had no chance to choose), has the most disgusting cheap meals (turkey meatloaf/veggie ravioli). Their customer service folks were unhelpful and condescending. I do realize that they couldn't be responsible if we didn't get to use the entire box. But had they delivered the recipes "to our door", as their website states, or had their customer service been available, or had their website not been inaccessible, we would have been able to utilize at least some of the food. And, we couldn't cancel because their website was unavailable, so I was charged ANOTHER $120 for food that I didn't pick and won't eat. (They charge your card for the NEXT week on the same day your current week's box is to arrive, so they AT LEAST force you into one more box).
The payment systems were down so our order was not taken and nobody told us anything until the day of the delivery.
Not satisfied with the service in NL. Some vegetables were only good for 1-2 days after getting the box. We missed also some vegetables in the box that should have been there. Brought by Ups but that was a dissaster, had to find my box half a day later on the other side of my town. Missed also paper menu's in the box. Recipes to simple. And please put things as garlic in the box.
