Good customer service
My car hire excess had expired and I had meant to renew. However, the website didn’t allow me to fully change my address for some weird reason. Anyway, a quick call to their helpline and it was all sorted very quickly. I also renewed my policy by phone and the premium was cheaper than last year’s. Very helpful operator and also very quick and easy. We have to claim in the past and the whole process was very slick and easy. Highly recommend as the premium for one year across Europe is cheaper than a fully comp policy with a car hire company for one trip!

Renewed over the phone
Renewed over the phone, but having to listen to the lengthy, mandatory information was a bit of a drag. Renew online where possible .... next time.
Price is competitive - could only find a couple of policies that were £2 cheaper, but not worth the hassle of filling out a new set of personal details.
Happy with the purchase - my 5th (from memory) with this company. Have never had to recover any excess, so can't comment on how good the policy is as I've never got to the 'business end'!

Easy to book and good information on web site. However, the confirmation email had a “download policy documents” button which my virus scanner suggested was dangerous. Had to contact them by email to resolve.

Could be great - no idea as I had to cancel.
Thought it was all OK until I looked at the policy in more detail. Hire cars with a 0 to 60 in less than 7.5 seconds are excluded. Since I have no clue which particular model I will be supplied with on the day, the Policy might be a chocolate tea-pot, so I have cancelled it within the 14 day cooling off period.

Our Underwriters have included a restriction on the types of vehicles that are hired. That being, as you have outlined, any vehicle which has a retail value when new in excess of £60,000 or has a 0-62mph (0-100kph) time of less than 7.5 seconds.
If you are ever unsure about this restriction and the type of vehicle that you are hiring, we would encourage you to speak with your rental company as they should be able to provide you with the information that you require.
Your refund was immediately processed at your request, and we are sorry that this product is not suitable on this occasion.
