I think it would be great if this feature could support multiple languages so that it can be useful to a wide range of users. Also I would appreciate it if you could provide information about the rules and laws regarding drones in Nepal. Lastly it would be really convenient if there was a user mobile app, for browsing and booking purposes.

I signed up with Discovery World Trekking to take on their 3 Peaks expedition during October 2023, climbing Phokalde, Island Peak and Lobuche East. I have been to Nepal a number of times, with various operators and would highly recommend Discovery World – they met and exceeded all my expectations.

The Good Stuff:
• Dealing with Paul during the booking process was very easy – he answered all my questions and replied to all my emails promptly, leaving me in no doubt as to what was included in the cost and what wasn’t. He was also very patient when I wasn’t able to confirm my trip until only a month out because of an injury, however he was able to pull everything together once I did confirm
• My trekking guide Rohit and porter Sital were fantastic. They were attentive to my needs without being “in your face” and I was particularly impressed with their commitment to making my trip enjoyable. They also went above and beyond what I would have expected of them during the climbing periods, when they accompanied me to the base camps, ensuring that everything was sorted before they retreated and left me in the hands of my climbing guide
• My climbing guide Pasang who was attentive during the climbs, making sure that our pacing was right and that we reached the summits
• Rohit and Sital again when a health issue caused me to call an early end to the trip. They had no issue with accompanying me from Lobuche to the doctors in Pherice, packing up and leaving early evening and trekking down in the cold and misty conditions at night
• Paul again, arranging a helicopter evacuation from Pheriche to Kathmandu and then ensuring that I was fully examined at the hospital in Kathmandu

The Bad Stuff
• I can honestly say that there were no negatives in my dealings with Discovery W orld.

If you are thinking of trekking in Nepal I have no hesitation in recommending Discovery World Trekking to organise your trip for you – Paul and his team deliver what they say they will. If possible, try and get Rohit and Sital, they will make your trip to Nepal one to remember.

We had a fantastic time with Discovery World Trekking! From the website details to our first contact with the owner Paul, we have appreciated the great communication and all of our questions being answered promptly. Everything was well organized.

We are glad that we decided to book our 14-day Annapurna Circuit Trek with a guide service to take care of logistics like transportation, lodging, food, and the route planing. It was well worth our time and cost!

We appreciated the quick email responses, virtual briefing and packing chat with Paul, and also the in-person logistics meeting with Paul when we arrived in Kathmandu. As business owners ourselves, you can tell Paul cares about his clients.

Our team, Shintanto, our guide and two porters Sancur and Hemnanth took incredible care of us. They always checked in on our well-being and made us feel like family. We enjoyed learning Nepalese language and dance from our team and had many great laughs with them. Our guide was knowledgeable about the route, culture, and food. Everyone on the Discovery Team always had a smile on their face and went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable. Our team of 4 trekkers felt encouraged by their constant enthusiasm. Thanks again to our hardworking team!

On the trek, we got to go on our on pace based on the schedule and took amble breaks to make sure our team felt rested and hydrated. You could tell Discovery cared a lot about our health and safety, especially when we were in higher altitude by monitoring our blood oxygen with a pulse-oximeter.

We can’t wait to go on another trip with Discovery World Trekking in the future. We would definitely use them again for our other Nepal trekking adventures! They helped create some epic lifetime memories for us we won’t forget. Don’t look any further and book with Discovery!

I just completed my 12 days trekking itinerary to Everest Base Camp with Discovery World Trekking and I had an amazing experience! The trek itself was challenging but breathtaking. The communication with Paul before the Trek was excellent as he was always very responsive. As part of my pack, airport pickup was included, and on arrival in KTM I had some issues with my luggage but my ride actually waited outside for well over 1h.

During the 12 days, my guide Prakash, made sure I feel comfortable every step of the way, and always booked the most comfortable rooms available. Thanks to the guide I also learned so much about the landscape, the trails, and Nepali life (we even danced Nepali music). He used to teach Nepali language so I definitely took advantage of this skill and learned some of the local language :). Half way trough the trek I had to slightly change my plan, and Prakash was very responsive to this and immediately found an alternative route for me. He is also a very good photographer, something you need especially as I did this solo without a group.

Durga my porter was also very good, definitely the strongest man I’ve seen! It’s nice to see that they have a career option and porters can move to assistant-guide, and then to full on guides. He was always very keen to learn.

Definitely recommending this company, the trek, and the guide!

We did the Annapurna circuit trek from Bhulpule to Jonsom this October 2023. Right from the start discovery world trekking made us feel reassured. Paul did a briefing with us a couple of months before leaving, to guide us what to bring and expect. We got picked up at the airport and dropped off at our hotel and then had another pre-trip briefing for any last min questions. Our guide Mansing, assistant guide Jit and porters Badur, Ram and Milan were all the friendliest , happiest , helpful people. We always had rooms pre-reserved for us at the tea rooms and everything constantly ran smoothly. They made sure we didn’t go too fast to avoid altitude sickness. I cannot recommend this company enough. In terms of the Annapurna circuit it is a gorgeous route still. There are more “roads” now but they are still like trails not concrete roads and the views are stunning throughout. It is a great great first trek in Nepal.

If you are thinking of trekking in Nepal I couldn’t recommend this company enough! We did the 12 day Annapurna Circuit Trek, however they have a huge variety of treks available. When we arrived in Kathmandu our trekking guide picked us up from the airport, and a few days later we started the trek. Everything was so well organised, they had pre-booked all the overnight accommodation on trek - even in places where the tea houses were extremely busy we still got a private room (so I assume they had booked in advance).
Breakfast, lunch and dinner was included as part of the package which makes it really great value. It was so nice to get to know the DWT team, everyone was so kind and friendly and it was great to chat along the trek and learn more about Nepal. I will definitely be returning to do the Everest base camp trek!

Discovery world trekking have been amazing from start to finish. Paul provided us with a video briefing call a couple months before our trek so we understood our itinerary, our equipment needs and ran through all safety precautions. We were welcomed with friendly faces at Kathmandu airport by the team and driven to our hotel. Any questions we had Paul was quick to answer over WhatsApp making us feel very reassured. Our guide Mansing was brilliant, we had complete confidence in his guiding and he knew the answers to all of our questions as well as teaching us Nepali card games! Both Mansing and Zit, our assistant guide, kept us at the right pace and helped us through more challenging conditions when at altitude. Our porters, Bardur, Ram and Milan were so helpful and friendly - we all had a great laugh together! The team couldn’t have been more accommodating, anything we needed from teas, coffee, food, advice was provided to us so speedily. We were super impressed with all of the tea houses that were organised for us - we had rooms just for our group and they were always comfortable and exceeded our expectations. We have loved our Annapurna Circuit trek, the views were phenomenal and we are all in love with Nepal.

I can't recommend this company enough. We had an incredible 27 day tour with them completing the annapurna circuit, tilicho lake and annapurna base camp. Our guide Tukman and our porter Narang were great fun, very knowledgeable and were watching out for our safety all the time. The accommodation and food was amazing and the views were simply out of this world. If you are going to Nepal, go trekking with this company and you will not be disappointed. We'll be back for further trekking with them!

Trekking the Lang Tang Valley and Gosainkunda Lakes was a beautiful and life affirming experience on so many different levels.
I can't praise our incredible guide Nabin and our wonderful porter Milan enough. They were simply the best and their care and attention added an unforeseen dimension to the actual physical experience of trekking in stunning nature. There was laughter, shared joys and mutual respect in abundance and I thank them and Paul for a memorable experience, not just based on the views of the smiling mountains but real insights, conversation and warmth on the path's inevitable ups and downs. The care, support and gentle kindness provided by Nabin and Milan made all the difference to our experience and I can thoroughly recommend Discovery World Trekking. Thank you so much for the 'slowly, slowly' encouragement that got this old girl to her destination every single day.

We booked a 16 day trek through the Annapurna Circuit with added days for Tilicho Lake through Discovery World Trekking. We were picked up from the airport by our guide Dave even though it was multiple days before the trek started. We opted for some more comfortable travel options such as a private jeep to Jagat instead of the bus. We highly recommend doing the same! It made the long drive much more comfortable.
The trek itself was absolutely stunning but it was also made effortless by Discovery having arranged the itinerary, all our hotel stays along the way, stops for lunch and more. We just got to wake up and trek!
The best thing I can say about Dave and Min (our excellent guide and porter) was how they looked after us and kept us safe throughout the trek. I unfortunately was sick going into the trip and gaining elevation was a lot tougher than I expected due to that. Dave tested my oxygen levels, kept an eye on any symptoms I had, and helped us see a doctor in Manang along the way to get medication and make sure it was safe for me to continue. I don’t know if we would’ve been able to sort all that out for ourselves without them!
Discovery was also extremely flexible when we wanted to change plans for the end of our trek. After crossing Thorong La Pass we decided to forgo the last few days of planned trekking and get to Pokhara so I could rest and see another doctor. Paul was able to arrange flights for us and help us get where we needed to go without issue.

We can absolutely recommend discovery world trekking agency. From the first contact onwards, every question was answered immediately, everything was very well organized and thought out by Paul.
On the trek we were so lucky to have the best guide Kaji, and the best porter Kul, one can imagine. These two were always so attentive, friendly and sensitive, they kept everything under control at any time and we always had fun together. Kaji and Kul made this beautiful trek even better. Paul has been instrumental in helping me organise my EBC trekking trip. He always answers calls and responds within a short period. Mansing, my guide, was very patient throughout the trip and motivated me when I was struggling. He fully understood my limitations. Harka, the porter, is the strong, silent person. A very humble guy. Both these people showed what Nepalis people truly are. This trip is an eye opening experience and I will definitely recommend Paul to anyone who wants to embark in it.

Hemmath, Khechar were like family by the end of the trip, Dol was a lovely calm, kind and very knowledgeable guide, he went out of his was to ensure we were always well looked after and in the end it was very sad to say good bye. I couldn’t recommend Discovery highly enough.

We had an unforgettable time on our tour with Discovery World Trekking to Ghorepani Poon Hill. Paul was fantastic to communicate with and made sure our trip was perfectly planned and executed. A huge special mention to our fantastic tour team, Dol, who is the most patient and lovely guide giving us lots of encouragement and laughing along with us. Also our fantastic porters, Khexhar, Sunil & Hemnath who had the hardest job carrying our packs and we’re always smiling and doing everything they could to make it an amazing trek including playing music for us on their boom box to get us up the mountain when we needed it (thanks Sunil!!). This trek will always hold a special place in my heart. The scenery was incredible, the walking was challenging but so rewarding, and our guide and porter were so lovely that they really made our experience! I’d highly recommend doing it at this time of year as it wasn’t too busy and the weather was perfect :)

10/10 would recommend trekking with these guys . My partner and I completed the 5 day poon hill trek at the beginning of September. Discovery World Trekking took care of all the small details taking away any stress. The views from this trek are amazing and the people we met along the way just as lovely. But our highlight would be all the laughter our guide Suresh and porter Sunil gave us along the way. These two kept spirits high and accommodated for everything we asked for as well as keeping me well hydrated after falling sick for a few days. Would recommend a moderate level of fitness as some inclines can be a challenge but it's worth every bit of effort. If you're looking for a reputable and experienced company book with Discovery World Trekking and ask for Suresh and Sunil. We will definitely be coming back !

I recently completed the langtang valley 8 day trek with world discovery trekking, where our guide was Mansing and our porter was Hemanta. Mansing and Hemanta could not do enough for us, and every little detail had been thought of by Paul (CEO). We had the chance to reach heights of 4773m, and also visit a monastery and a yak cheese factory! The guides created such a good vibe in the group and it showed that they enjoyed the trek just as much as us!

I cannot recommend discovery world trekking enough, after my year of travelling this is easily the best experience I have had!:)
