Terrible Service
Ordered on their click & collect site,no confirmation order was received after almost a whole day.
Called to the store the following day but order hadn't been picked.
Waited a half hour while a totally disinterested picker strolled around looking for some kind of height lift to check up high.He couldn't find it apparently and i suggested maybe they use one of the many ladders onsite in their hardwarestore????
Anyway one item was missing from the order or more likely Mr Enthusiastic couldn't be bothered looking for it.
After i gave the young woman behind the click & collect counter the order number for the third time since i arrived i was told i would be refunded the missing item in a day or two.
Twice i contacted customer service about the refund and was told my request had been "upgraded"??. It was over amonth later when i got the refund.
The staff very obviously need training in both customer service and in how to do the basics of their jobs.

Delays and charged for ‘free delivery’
Was suppose to have free delivery. Part of the order was out of stock so they then charged me for delivery. If something is out of stock that is not customers issue and free delivery should still stand. Still waiting for the other part of the delivery it had been delayed and no updates.
Best customer service Marcus in athlone
Called in today for a kitchen design with Marcus. Absolutely brilliant customer service he is a credit to the store in athlone. Great service and great price. Wanted to give him a tip for great service but wouldn't take it your lucky to have him. A real gent very easy to deal with and listened to what we needed.
They do not adhere to their returns…
They do not adhere to their returns policy: I asked to return some bedside tables the day after purchase through various channels – phone calls, the complaints form, and by visiting the shop – but despite the returns policy stated on your website, my request was consistently refused. Furthermore, customer service never replied to my formal complaint emails. A terrible experience. I don’t think I’ll be buying anything from B&A again.

I do like the variety of supplies and have always gotten what I needed, but you really need to know what you're getting yourself.
They seem to only hire teenagers and grandmothers, which wouldn't be a bad thing generally, but whenever I've tried to get some basic advice on what to get for some home projects, I've been looked at like I've two heads.
On the plus side it's made me have to learn more myself which is a silver lining.

Ordered furniture boards to be delivered, came damaged, I had to return them but never got the replacements, and after numerious emails and phone calls after two months I was eventually told I had to travel to Liffey Valley to get my refund even though I ordered them from Tallaght
Item not delivered
Item not delivered. I contacted B&Q 5 days after the delivery due date, I received a response a few days later to say the the matter was escalated, over two weeks later I have heard nothing and customer service didn’t answer their phone both times I called and I stayed on the phone 20mins (made dinner etc). The tracking still says delayed! My order was very small so it’s not a big deal, it’s the principal though and a waste of time and hard earned money. I then had to shop elsewhere for what I wanted and very much doubt this will be resolved.

My last visit to purchase an item was very disappointing, I asked 2 people for assistance and neither one was what I could call helpful. I know sales work can be tiresome, I did it myself many years ago, however, helping with a pleasant attitude is a nice thing to do whether or not they were havinga bad day. I ended up getting my purchase elsewhere.

B & Q is back!
Thankfully B & Q has returned to my area. The new store is beautiful and the staff are great. We purchased a patio set and it came in good time. They kept us updated throughout the process and it came on time. We will definitely return for more stuff.
The worst customer service I have ever…
The worst customer service I have ever encountered. This company is a disgrace.
Very satisified
Lawn mower is exactly what I was looking for. Cuts my grass beautifully. Perfect for a small garden and someone who wishes a good value product, to reduce their carbon footprint, get a great cut on their lawn and get a little bit of exercise too! B&Q delivered promptly when they said they would. Mower arrived in perfect condition. Very little assembly needed. So full satisfaction achieved.
The mysterious bbq
I purchased a bbq (along with another item) which was advertised the same day. The payment went through. Order arrived. No bbq. Contacted B&Q, told out of stock. However, the bbq order went through on the website. Cost refunded but I was not happy with their explanation. That was a few weeks ago. The same bbq is now advertised again today, at a reduced price. But it was out of stock? I will never order from B&Q again.
Dissapointing
I was your customer for many years but now i'm very disappointed with Your store. So often i can see empty shelves and nobody care about restock products. Once i checked product availability on your website , and it showed that there were a few units available in your Galway store. However when I arrived at the store i discovered the items were not there. Your employee was very suprised about that. Despite searching they could not be found anywhere in the store. I wasted my time.
I also found that you stopped selling a Plywood sheets at your shop in Galway. Why this has been discontinued? and wheter you plan to offer it again in the future?
