Avoid B&Q. High cost and delivery failure(s)

Three delivery attempts over three weeks. Driver not provided with our phone number - marked his record - nobody home. We waited in three times for this fiasco and yes, we were at home. €450 paint and (received damaged) pvc section plus misdescribed power tool.
Hopeless in the extreme. Help line is in South Africa, total 40 minutes on the phone.
Avoid B&Q - not only for deliveries also for eye watering prices. Shop around!

Shameless

I ordered 8 plastic storage containers. No lids arrived. I have called and lodged complaints requesting the lids (which are clearly part of the container) 3 times now and no one has returned with any help. Shameless! What are you going to do about this.

Mick the duty Manager and Una on…

Mick the duty Manager and Una on checkout in Cork B&Q were first class in helping me decide what garden furniture to buy. Went with the Riveo timber set. Really good quality. And 20% off on the bank holiday. Thanks guys!

Good experience

I bought few products online through click and collect. In few hours I received a notification from B&Q informing the items were ready to collect. Straightforward collection in store. Great service. Good experience overall.

Please be aware that B&Q customer…

Please be aware that B&Q customer service is based in South Africa! They also expect the customer to store kitchen/bathroom deliveries until their installation date booked with the fitters they contract. They expected us to store a kitchen for just under 3 months!

Did not receive everything I ordered

Did not receive everything I ordered. Getting a generic automated reply for the past 4 weeks. Can get no response and no refund. Outrageous customer service and essentially theft. Do not buy from this company.

Ordered a keter shed that arrived…

Ordered a keter shed that arrived damaged has a hole in the roof and scratches on the door and sides of the shed. The shed cost €1250 b&q offered 15% for the damage which if accepted would also void the warranty! Shed is already made up I asked them to send someone out to dismantle it and send a replacement this is also not an option for them to dismantle after my husband spend hours making it! We are happy to keep the damaged shed and my husband will try to repair it to save the hassle of taking it down and rebuilding but the fact they think €187.50 is an acceptable partial refund for a €1250 shed with this damage whilst voiding the warranty also is unacceptable! Will not be purchasing from b&q again terrible customer service!
