Joke of a company

Have had an on going issue with an exchange for over a month now. Customer service are less than useless. Continue to lie to me about when the exchange will be done. B+Q keep emailing me daily asking for a review so here it is. Do not buy online, not worth the risk if something goes wrong

Lost deliveries, wrong items delivered, paid for survey which turned out to be incorrect. Endless delays. No respect for customer.

Delivery was supposed to arrive the…

Delivery was supposed to arrive the 16th May and will not be delivered until the 21st May. Customer service was very poor. No reason for the delay and no apology given by customer service. Do not order from B&Q Ireland (DIY.IE) if you expect delivery on time.

Had to amend my original delivery date

Had to amend my original delivery date. Could not get through on the phone to customer services so emailed. Several days later finally got an email giving an alternative date which I accepted but delivery arrived on the original date despite me emailing several times to say no one would be on site to receive the order. I was out of the country but delivery driver phoned and I explained the date had been rearranged. He was very helpful and contacted his head office and got everything sorted. When the delivery arrived last Thursday 14th May there were 3 items missing. I immediately emailed and notified B&Q. It’s now Tuesday 19th and still have heard nothing back despite a follow up email yesterday. It has been an extremely frustrating time dealing with B&Q and I won’t be purchasing from them again. Appalling, if I could have given a minus score I would have done. Below I have been asked for the date of my experience. I have given the date of the partial delivery but this has being going on since 13th April.

Terrible experience with B&Q.

Terrible experience with B&Q.

We ordered a kitchen from the Limerick branch, and the lady who designed it was fantastic. Unfortunately, every step after that has been horrendous and incredibly stressful.

There were missing items that we had to collect ourselves, damaged units, and kitchen cupboards delivered with almost no protection — just cardboard, with no bubble wrap. Many arrived scratched and chipped. We then had to wait another 12 weeks for replacement doors, which delayed everything further.

Our kitchen counter was also forgotten in the delivery and completely ignored until we repeatedly contacted different customer service departments. We still have not received any email reply from them.

This whole experience has extended our project by around 6 months, including having to constantly rearrange tradespeople due to delays and missing items.

Customer care over the phone have been no help either — it’s difficult to hear them properly, and calls often sound like they are being taken in the middle of a concert.

Overall, this has been an extremely disappointing and stressful experience. I would never order a kitchen from them again

Dreadful

Dreadful - 2 products ordered in January that were delivered - one was broken on delivery - one broke a few weeks after purchase - I have spent the last 4 months trying to return the items and dealt with endless faceless and clueless customer service representatives- utterly appalling in every way

Don’t rely on the date it says it will be delivered

Delayed delivery without telling me, item was faulty but they replaced the item by delivery a week later. Didn’t seem apologetic that original delivery wasnt delivered on the day it said, or that I would have to wait an additional week for replacement for the faulty item. I would advise shopping in store if you are in a hurry for your item.

Not very reliable

I ordered a bench about six weeks ago. It arrived after 3 weeks ago but was damaged. A week later I received a message saying a delivery was on the way. Turned out to be a guy collecting the damaged bench. I then received a message yesterday saying the bench will arrive today. I just opened the tracking to see if it's close and it now says it will arrive on Wednesday.
Will definitely never order anything from B&Q again unless I don't actually need it to arrive by a certain time.

Worst service ever can't get our refund after months

We bought a kitchen at the end of last year - 2025. We waited so long for deliveries that never showed up and lost our fitter. We had items to return to B&Q in the region of £2000 and 2 months later still have no refund. We are so sick and tired of trying to get our refund to no avail. Always somebody will call us back, this has been escalated but then nothing is resolved. Totally at the end with this company - maybe that's what they want, for us to give up trying to get our money back. Well, we won't. I think if I don't have it soon I will stand outside B&Q in Galway with a placard. this is the worst service I have ever known. Thanks for listening.
