The app is awful

Not a good bank, really bad chat system, and you can’t do anything in the app. Nordea is so much better, every aspect. Especially the app, chef’s kiss

This bank is extremely bad, they lie to you because they are trying to be the best bank in class to uphold the "Scandinavian model" while actually just enriching themselves.

Don't bother

Don't bother, this is NOT a good bank. They lack all the basics, or rather they removed all the basics. Nothing about this bank is positive, they are expensive and they think robots can replace real people. Look at their chat "system", and look at their prices, then you will discover their "service".

Been a customer for more than 5 years

Been a customer for more than 5 years, i will leave aside complains about how "fast " processes and services were. But today i got denied their service because apparently i am not as long enough resident (in false premises also)(even though fulfilling the economic criteria, egenkapital and etc). Polite racism much? I thought i was living in 2023 in Norway. Apparently not.

Please AVOID

Please AVOID! This bank is rubbish. If you love bad customer service and hidden expensive fees, then this bank is for you. This bank is definitely not a good bank, they don't take care of your money, they take your money. They couldn't care less about you or your economy. The management is very incompetent and greedy.

DnB is heading down, face first

I think it is important to point out that I was a costumer for DnB (Den norske Bank), for more than 25 years. I can say with certainty that the bank, the company and the people has changed drastically over the years. DnB is in no way the 'peoples bank' anymore. The actions and greed has tipped the company over to the sadistic. Any organization that turns sadistic in it's processes and actions, have peaked.
DnB is heading downwards and with face first.
It's glory days are over and they are showing signs of desperation.
If you are considering using them, I would do research and find another more humane bank not connected to them. Remember that many banks are under same umbrella, choose wisely.
Costumers have already started to flee out of their services, choosing better and cheaper options.

DO NOT BANK WITH DNB

DO NOT BANK WITH DNB - YOU WILL WEEP WITH FRUSTRATION!

The saga continues! This is not a bank, it's a group of clowns flying in formation. I finally received my card, tried to log on, need a code device. When I call DNB, it turns out they "forgot to send the code device." I assume DNB will soon be going bankrupt, and that's a heartily deserved outcome. BAD SHOW for these Clowns.

Incredibly poor service. The bank twice mislaid my paperwork - it has taken me months to open an account. AVOID DNB like the plague! I add to this review a couple of weeks later. Still no movement from this institution. It's not just the worst bank I've ever dealt with, it's the worst professional establishment. DO NOT BANK WITH DNB! THEY WILL MAKE YOU TEAR OUT YOUR HAIR AND WISH YOU HAD MADE A WISER CHOICE! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE.

These sons of stray dogs make joke with all clients! They block all my money for no reason and I can't access it! I will go to judge you sons of stray dogs and make you jail time! They have left me completely without access to my own money.

They have left me without access to my income in a foreign country with no food, rent or medicine for me or my dogs for the next month. Internet is just about to be cut off so l thought I'd spend a minute to write this review. My account is closed due to the impossiblity of getting Bank ID with no Norwegian simcard. At least DNB's phone service is somewhat friendly and so their person said that apparently I'm supposed to seek opening an account without Bank ID. When l sent my application the automatic reply said that l would get an answer within three days. When l rang to enquire about the progress l was told to wait four to five weeks. It seems that a lot of people are in similar situations in Norway and that Dnb do not consider normal Norwegian citizens to be worth the extra bother and expense of allocating extra manpower to resolve this unfortunate situation merely for Norwegian citizens. Because corporate banking is clearly what they focus on. Nonetheless if the process to aquire a personal Bank ID was impossible to achieve before all of this then l do not see how l will suddenly succeed now because I'm not even a customer any more. So I strongly suspect that after a month or two the money will eventually get leisurely sent back to the folks that payed me and they can then send it to my new, different bank.

worst bank ever worst customer service ever

3 months ago my card has been stolen at a DNB atm I have contacted my bank to block my card they have told me yes don't worry it is done 2 weeks after I saw that 31000nok were missing and they have not blocked the card they agreed on the mistake that they have done and then advised me to raise a claim picking random transaction for 31000 NOK and I will get a refund 1 month after with no news from they are telling me they will not refund me as some of the transaction look weird I have re-explained the situation and for the past 2 months they keep hanging up on me when I call or laugh at me when I tell them I'm left with no money
I never had an issue with the bank before but being a consumer of DNB for 1 year and had 2 other issues (minor to this one)

so they have not blocked my card then told me to do wrong things that they knew will block my claim and not refund me

congratulation after living in 9 different countries around the world DNB definitely the worst of the worst bank you can find

Shameful practices

Unethical and shameful, doesn’t care for customers, making money with cheap tricks like administrative expenses impossible to bypass, raising leasing fees because of own private problems as a bank, loopholes in contracts etc. Stay away from this “bank”. Not serious.

DNB is a bank run by whoresons

DNB is a bank run by whoresons. There is no customer service. They just have someone greet you at any of the three banks with actual humans there, and they just tell you to go online for all issues. You can't close an account unless you call them. Why is everything online with the exception of closing an account. This is place is a scam and should be investigated by NIS further, besides the money laundering scams they were caught doing in 2020.

DNB lost it completely

DNB lost it completely: no local offices, 30 minutes waiting before they pick up the phone, not possible to use digital bank ID, arrogant bank people that change their rules every time. DNB is not a bank for normal people. DNB is horrible, we moved all our money out and closed our accounts.

The worst experience ever

The worst experience ever! I have been their Client for about 2 years. They never admitted their mistakes and neither replied nor apologized after my written complain in 13 months. Luckily many others are leaving same kind of feedback.

They do not answer the phone

They do not answer the phone when you select English. Waiting time over 15 minutes.
I do not recommend this bank if you need an English language service

Amazing and chill customer service

Chill customer service, no matter what info you call them for, of course ignoring the fact that you can hear other customer's information over the phone from 3-5 other cubicles at once. Management should pull themselves together.
One instance I called about one of the offers and still been given false information even though they transferred me to be sure, but worker sounded like they were sleeping with head in piles of paper at the end of their evening shift, so whatever.

The slowest opening of a current account

Having arrived in Norway as an EU citizern I approached DNB to open a normal regular current bank account.
When applying the branch said it would take 4-6 weeks for the account to open.
In the end its taken 8 weeks to finally receive my code reader to then go online and discover my account number and start using the account.
For a country that is so digital DNB is incredibly slow to open bank accounts and this is standard waiting time with no issues.
DNB, most European countries are able to open a basic account in a few days at most. Your're way behind most established European banks in this respect.
And then I opened an account with Revolut in a matter of minutes and put funds into it.
DNB if you cant even deal with opening a simple current account with greater speed expect to be left behind in the industry.

One start is overrating

One start is overrating! the bank system and customer service is absolutely terrible and outdated! Very unreliable and unhelpful staff. Just took me nearly a year to open bank account which still isn’t working. Don’t waste your time! Specially unhelpful for international customers!
