While on hold with Doc on Demand last night- well really early morning- I read these reviews.
And now I’m writing one myself because I had an excellent experience. Yesterday I got bit by a cat while trying to save it from the family dogs, and I thought I could do home remedies but my leg got very sore and I realized I needed urgent care around midnight. So I went doctor on demand after googling 24/7 urgent care.
I was online with a live doctor within 15 minutes-
Had a script within 3-5 mins.
And had script in my hands within 20.
The whole ordeal took under an hour - a good thing since it was in middle of the night.

Incredibly unhelpful. They are unaware of the practices in the healthcare system, and so deny assistance and make recommendations that are impossible to execute. Additionally they don't respond to feedback or process it. Really disappointed, won't use again.

If I could give this company a negative review I would. I paid $300 for a consultation and the only advice I received is to Google the solution to my problem myself. When I tried to dispute this bogus scam of a service, I was told that since the visit length was sufficient, they are satisfied with the service that they provided me. Well I am not satisfied with the service that was provided. I could've Googled a solution myself. I didn't need to pay $300 to be told to use Google. This company is either a scam or they suck, but I have nothing good to say about this company. I hope they go under.

On 3/15/25, I called and even though my ins. United Health Care, said it's a zero cost to me, Doctors on Demand said I needed to pay them upfront for a tele visit. I paid and found out UHC also paid them. I called Dr's. on Demand and told them I should not have been charged as UHC paid them. DOD gave me a case number and said it will take a few weeks to process my refund. After 6 calls to them and even UHC called them on a 3-way call, DOD has refused to return the money I initially had to give them even though UHC said DOD should not have charged me as it's a free service with UHC. This company will give you the run around and will constantly say as they have 6 times now they will send my request to billing. It is now July 2025.

Called in to get an antibiotic for a bacterial infection. Was denied and they took my 99 bucks anyways. Lady i spoke with was incompetent and wouldn't rx me what I needed even though I explained what my previous doctor would do. She said that's not how I practice. I guess she practices stealing people's money instead of helping people out. I will be starting a charge back immediately. I needed an antibiotic not a narcotic so don't treat people like they are calling just to get drugs...

Terrible. The doctors dont show up and then they charge you for a no show fee that they have to investigate first and dont get it back for 6 weeks IF they approve it.

If you cancel a scheduled appointment with less than 24 hour notice, you would incur a fee. That makes sense.

But if you schedule an appointment and the provider doesn't show up at the scheduled time, they still will try to charge you, even if you have evidence of chat history asking where the provider is.

It has been 4 months and the ticket is still open to correct this issue. That is far too long for a justifiable write-off.

I used this company multiple times a month for the entirety of 2024. At the beginning of 2025, they couldn't verify my insurance. Despite multiple emails and phone calls, no one could verify my insurance. In May, I received seven invoices for over $800, stating I didn't have insurance in November and December of 2024. I did have insurance. I never had a gap. I provided them with verification letters from my insurance company, and they're still blaming my insurance company for the problem. None of my other doctors had issues billing or verifying my insurance; it's just Doctors on Demand. In the meantime, I wanted to continue to see my mental health professional, instead of starting all over with someone new, but that doesn't seem to matter to them. And we wonder why we have a mental health problem in this country. Those of us who are seeking and receiving help have it ripped out from under us!!

I've had doctors refuse to help me and then still charge me for the visit. And there have been questionable billing issues. I will not use them again.

Scam artists. I told them exactly what was wrong before my visit (muscle/joint issue) & they connected me with someone who couldn't even provide a recommendation to a specialist. This company is a scam and every one of their employees should be embarrassed with themselves.

paid the fee to get some sort of prescription for my gout in my left hand had Dr Shanti Krishnamoorthy for my appointment was not really interested in what I had to say ended my appointment with NO HELP at all no prescription just tock my money. Poor service

Doctor on Demand is balance billing me and threatening to send me to collections. I have responded four times to them including sending them the Explanation of Benefits that showed they were paid and the patient responsibility is $0. If they send me to collections I will file complaints with the insurance company for violating their contract and to the state insurance regulator for illegally balance billing.

I wish I could give them zero star. I signed up to see a doctor but saw a nurse practitioner instead. She sent a wrong order to my pharmacy. I reached out to them more than 3 times but it's more than 2 months nobody has gotten back to me and my $30 co-pay was a waste. Pls do not use them.

Doctor On Demand is the worse service ever. Took me 10 tries to log on, give my info, and still nothing. It is a SHAM. And like everyone says........STAY AWAY FROM DOCTOR ON DEMAND. So horrible.

Here is one of the “ wonderful” Drs. I had to deal with.
She would not give me medication for a simple UTI and spent less than three minutes with me where she was very short and curt.
Dr. Maria Solorio shame on you and this ridiculous website.
You charged me $99 and I could not even get a simple prescription nor a polite rejection.
She was downright rude.
I demand my money back.
Do NOT use this service. They will rob you and you will still be left to suffer.

Stay away from Dr on Demand and practitioner Ella Pomerlyan. I requested an online Dr visit on 03/19/2025 via the UHC website (that's how I got to know Dr On Demand). I couldn't get a visit with an MD but I was able to see a nurse practitioner after I indicated the reason for the visit. I needed a prescription for potassium as I was left with none, I could not get an appointment with my primary physician right away, and I did not want to go to ER and pay another $2,700 (yes believe or not $2,700 for few pills or potassium and checking my vitals/bloodwork). The Ella Pomerlyan requested that I get some bloodwork done and that she will be sending the lab order to LabCorp I choose. I went to the lab but no order. I waited 2 hrs in the lab back and forth with Dr on Demand to finally get the order. Once the lab work results were back with me being low in potassium, she was no where to be found. I contacted several times Dr on Demand without luck. I filed a complaint with Dr on Demand, as of today June 4th, no formal answer from them and they keep sending me a reminder to pay $54 for 10mn conversation online to tell me to go and do a bloodwork so she can prescribe me some potassium pills but then nowhere to be found to get someone to send the order. Once the blood results back, Ella Pomerlyan is nowhere to be found for the prescription. I filed a former complaint with Dr on Demand but as of today no formal answer. This is the nonsense in the money hunger health care system I faced. Was I treated? NO, Was I charged? yes $54 for 10mn online to send me a lab order so that she can prescribe, and the cost of the lab but I have never gotten any prescription or been treated for the condition. I called her patient location in NV to be told they don't handle the patients she sees via Dr on Demande!!! All efforts and money wasted. I had to buy potassium over the counter and take 10 pills at the time to get the dose I needed. Their practitioners don't give a damn about you, even their response system is AI assisted so you basically is talking to a robot who does even not know anything about you anyway but they keep sending you reminder to pay the $54 bill, for that they are very efficient, no worries. A patient is seen as $$$$ only. The practitioner was Ella Pomerlyan, please stay away from her, she is a joke. Thank you.

I had a very disappointing experience with this provider. After asking me questions, she repeatedly talked over me and interrupted my responses, which made it difficult to fully explain my concerns. The visit felt rushed and impersonal, and ultimately she read from the screen to say she couldn’t help and recommended in-person care. This level of service was frustrating and fell far below expectations.

I’ve used Dr on Demand for years and was very happy. They recently changed their website and things have gotten really bad. They keep canceling my insurance and tell me that I must pay even though I’m covered several different ways. Every time I attempt to use them, my insurance is supposedly no longer valid and must be imputed but the system refuses to take information. They want me to PAY exorbitant fees for service, when my visit is covered 100%. DO NOT USE DR ON DEMAND

My complaint is I CANNOT delete my credit card. I did not book an appointment, but I CANNOT delete my card. I want to close the account, but I refuse to do so without deleting the card first. I sent a message via their AI chat and was informed someone would get back to me.

Video call for hypertension prescription refill.
Doctor came online within three minutes. The doctor asked all the questions on video so no lengthy online forms to complete - no photographing pill bottles etc. doctor was thorough and then filled three prescriptions.
