I have been struggling for years to find a way to get a document legalised for use in Europe without me having to go to Zimbabwe which was just not possible for me. When we had the challenge of getting a certified copy of my deed of name change, Simon came through and got the document and I didn't realise that there was an additional affidavit attached to it. For 27 years, I tried to obtain my original birth certificate. I hired two attorneys and another company, all of whom told me it was not possible because I was adopted, despite being in contact with my biological parents and having all the necessary details. Eventually, I gave up and accepted that it simply couldn’t be done.
