Dog Academy is absolutely amazing they have been…

Don't Waste Your Money

The Minimizing Separation Anxiety course was not worth the money. This course really won't give you any tips that you can't find on blogs for free.

Beware This place is a scam!

Unfortunately, I have had the worst experience with this company. I was sold that this was a dog academy with professional dog trainers. I was told my pup would be assigned a trainer with professionalism, with the idea that she would be developed. Unfortunately, my trainer was fired only after 2 sessions with her. It took the company almost a week to find a new trainer. The new trainer showed up, and I was so shocked at the level of unprofessionalism that was displayed in their appearance. After careful consideration I reached out to the company and expressed my experience, frustration, and dissatisfaction with what I have received while paying over $2K for this service. Their customer service was so terrible, I was offered a refund of only $300, and I am currently being forced to continue services with this company although I am extremely unhappy. I was supposed to have a session with my new trainer today, and the trainer canceled and wants to reschedule, but also runs their own business so I have to wait to see their schedule so I can see when me and my up can be fit into the schedule. It's absolutely ridiculous! There has been no consistency for my dog, which means she will not learn from this company. I have since used YouTube videos to help me with my pup, because I have had no consistency with this company. DO NOT ENROLL WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

Regarding the change in trainers, after several attempts to realign the original trainer’s methods with Dog Academy standards and training philosophy, we ultimately had no choice but to separate from them. As soon as that decision was made, we immediately began the rematch process to minimize disruption to your program. We recognize that any change can be frustrating, and we are sorry for the inconvenience this caused.

The second trainer assigned to you is a 5-star trainer based on feedback from numerous clients and is known for a laid-back, approachable training style that many families prefer. Concerning appearance, while we understand that expectations may vary, our trainers are independent professionals and are not required to wear corporate-style uniforms. Professional conduct and training results are the standards we hold them to, rather than a specific dress code.

In regard to the refund, your request was outside of the standard refund window. Our refund policy clearly outlines what is and is not eligible and remains accessible on our website for transparency. With that said, due to the unfortunate circumstances involving the original trainer, we issued a $300 refund as a courtesy.

We are sorry that your experience did not align with your expectations and appreciate you sharing your concerns. Feedback like yours is reviewed internally so we can continue improving communication, trainer alignment, and the overall client experience.

Progress after a 6 week absence due to family emergency

Dallas digressed due to me having to go to California for a family emergency. I was gone 6 weeks, so his progress had a setback. However, Brianna has met with us 2 times since my return January 9, 2026. Dallas is beginning to get some of the muscle memory back. We are doing another public outing Sunday, January 25. We'll see if he continues to regain what was lost.

Dog Academy is Wonderful!

The trainer we were assigned (David O’Neil) was wonderful! He was patient with both my puppy and I at all times. I would highly recommend him to anyone, especially someone with 0 experience with puppies.
The rest of the Dog Academy staff that I felt with was also very friendly and knowledgeable.

The Dog Academy Totally Exceeded my Expectations

I was so impressed with the Dog Academy. They immediately fulfilled my order, provided the course link and responded to my calls asking for additional support. The best part of this experience was the course content. It was comprehensive, easy-to-implement and tips that really work. buyer beware

I’m sure they’re great for some but I wish I’d listened to the reviews online before buying.

We had only 1 trainer in our area who was not to our liking. They refused to refund us and said we should just do virtual training with them instead. I was trying for over a month to get a refund and they kept saying it was impossible. I finally made a complaint on BBB and my refund was resolved within 12hrs. They’re not a trustworthy company.

Very good program

Very good program, well made, well explained, fun for the dog and the owner. I feel confidant after doing the training and my dog loves it. Thabks so much, i would recommand this program to every dog owner, service dog or not.

We filled out an online form for this…

We filled out an online form for this company and called and when we found out the cost, we asked for to receive a formal brochure, but Lauren said their was nothing that could be provided. When spending thousands of dollars, one would think this is available. We decided not to move forward based on this. We asked to be placed on do not call list, but still getting texts and calls.

So far so good

So far so good. I was a bit sceptic with this company for a few months, because of the random numbers calling me & for other reasons. I just completed the written test. Thank goodness I have been training my dog on most of these things for over a year 1/2. This program is great even if you don’t want to have a service dog! It explains how to train & how a well behaved dog should act! Plus you have help if needed. I highly recommend this program for anyone getting a new puppy. Get them started off with good manners from the beginning.
