Charged me for postage for an item that was not in stock and was never sent

I placed an order on 26th July (Order 2006) for an item that was subsequently found to be out of stock. Whilst I received a partial refund for the item itself, I was not refunded the postage costs for an item that was never dispatched. I contacted them by email on 28th July requesting a full refund, including the postage charges, but have yet to receive either the outstanding refund or any response to my enquiry.

bad customer service - offered refund never arrived

They emailed to say that the article I ordered got delayed due to issues with the supplier and they asked if I wanted a refund or wait a few days. I replied that I wanted a refund because it concerned a birthday present that needed to be delivered on time. They continued to send the item and not give the refund, despite multiple emails from my side.

Bad customer service

Customer service - very bad. I sent them an email yesterday asking where my purchase was, no response.

When I purchased my item, it said track delivery 48 hours and that I would get another email when it's dispatched. It's been over 48 hours - I haven't received my item, I haven't had a dispatched email and when I wrote to them asking if the product hasn't been dispatched please can I get a refund, no response or communication.

Sorry to hear you’ve had a bad experience. We aim to respond to all customer emails within 24 hours. We have responded to your query but I realise this was within 26 hours. Sincere apologies.

Your item was ordered after 6pm on Monday and we explain on our website that orders are usually processed within 24 hours. We have so far adhered to this. Your item was dispatched yesterday and should be with you within the next couple of days. We use Royal Mail’s 48 hour tracked service, which is usually reliable. But occasionally, deliveries can take a day or two longer. Hopefully that won’t be the case this time.

If your item arrives later than required we will reimburse the postage cost.

Above and beyond

I now must humbly change my last review from one star to five stars.after I posted my review the company got in touch immediately.they expressed they didn’t get my original email and they sent proof that package was delivered and left outside my apartment door.alas someone took it so I never even saw it. Then to my surprise I see that company has reordered everything for me at no extra cost.although I was initially disappointed I must now eat my words and give praise for a quick rectification of my complaint

Dishonest dealings

Like a previous reviewer I had placed an order. Two days later with no email re dispatch I emailed them asking about delay in posting. I received an email stating that the calendar I ordered was not in stock and like the previous reviewer I wondered why they took my order and money if they did not have the stock. They asked if I wanted to cancel my order. I replied that I wanted to cancel the order. They replied that the order had been and I quote 'canceled'......'and your payment has not yet been refunded'. I wonder that this company is still in business with such poor practice.

I’m really sorry you’ve had a bad experience. We don’t hold any stock as our range is virtual. We rely on our suppliers to provide up to date and accurate stock volumes. Most of the time, this process works perfectly well. But very occasionally - an item’s stock status can change within a short window of time when someone places an order. The email you’ve received was incorrect. I can confirm your payment was definitely refunded. Please get in touch if this hasn’t been received. We did respond to your emails and acted accordingly when you asked for a refund. I’m really sorry we’ve let you down on this occasion. We are a very small family run business (there are only two of us), so poor customer experiences aren’t something we can afford to be careless with. Sincere apologies for the disappointment and inconvenience caused.

PROFESSIONAL OUTFIT

Very pleased with the professional way that the Company dealt with my order. The calendar arrived promptly in sturdy packaging and is hanging proudly on the wall. Would normally order from Calendar Club but very pleased there are alternative suppliers out there doing a great job.

Packed wrong item so got refund

They packed wrong item and sent it but did rectify it by apologising and giving full refund .

Good website

There was a little mistake with my order and I emailed them about it. They answered my email in a very short time and they have been very helpful so the problem was solved super fast.
Very fast delivery as well !
I definetly recommend ordering from Doodle & Dot. I know I will do it again.
