Speedy delivery

Packaging good arrived when they said it would and Laura Ashley duvet set great.

Every thing was really good from start to finish.
From the phone call to ask if the dining suite was on display. The assistant who served us and the notification and delivery were all excellent.

Jon the delivery man was great from downtown and put the greenhouse in the garage for me in an order he said would be the best for building. Very helpful

Took forever for the chairs to arrive then one was damaged had to return for a refund a 6 month wait for nothing just constant updates saying they were stuck in sea due to the Middle East War. The worst part is I thought Alexander and James was made in the U.K. so that came as a shock that the company who took over them is actually in Thailand I would have never ordered if I knew that. A deposit held for 6 months for nothing.

UPDATE RESPONSE

MY POINT - PLEASE BE HONEST AND STATE ALEXANDER & JAMES ARE NOW MADE IN THAILAND NOT THE UK! Then the purchaser knows disruptions are inevitable!

In response to your reply. Yes I agree all with all you did to rectify the situation that was good & how you say. I am not disputing that.
My point is none of this would had to be rectified at all if when I specifically asked Downtown before I ordered the chairs (as I was made aware not by yourselves that Alexander & James had gone into Administration) so I asked you would I definitely receive the chairs from Alexander & James you responded that they would as they’ve been taken over by the same quality and standards company as Alexander and James which clearly they weren’t as I had to return them but more importantly you failed to explain that the new company was based in Thailand & left me thinking they were still made in the UK. Had you answered this question with honesty and full clarity I would have never ordered them in the first place and not wasted 6 months of my time waiting on them and paid a deposit to a U.K. made company.
So I’m back to square one, no chairs but had to learn the hard way.l & now start the wait time again but with chairs made in the UK.

From going in looking at sofas to being delivered fantastic service the lady in store to phone calls keeping us updated to the delivery men was outstanding would highly recommend to anyone
It’s nice to come and look and not online not knowing what your getting

Delivery men where on time and nothing was to much trouble took the matteres up stairs and put it on the bed for us
We new when they where coming and was in the time slot given

Pleasant and easy transaction

Had struggled to find a puzzle for my granddaughter they all seemed to be aimed for boys. This was ideal .arrived on time just what she liked. Postage was a little expensive but I took the hit arrived on time and kept up to date with developments.

On the whole we have had a wonderful experience with Downtown fitting new flooring for my Dad. I visited the store several months ago to gauge what was available and what we might need to consider. I was given a little advice and some brochures to look through with my Dad to decide what he wanted.
Eventually decisions were made and I went in to order the flooring for him. I had my small children with me and the flooring department staff were wonderful at helping me keep them happy whilst also helping me with my order.
The installation date was arranged and a deposit was paid and we sat back and waited for the installation date. Disappointingly here is one of my reasons for not giving 5 stars - the day before the installation date Downtown contacted me to say they could not install on the day agreed due to a lack of fitters. I understand this happens for all sorts of reasons but it was disappointing to have to wait another week.
Finally the installation start date came and work began. Dad was happy with the fitters care taken and I was contacted in addition to double check Dad was fully aware he could not enter the hallway until the floor levelling compound had dried. He was a little bit disgruntled as he had understood this but this left him unable to leave his living room for several hours (he’s 82) and he felt he was not able to prepare for this and fetch food and drink etc before they started work. This was during the extremely hot weather and he did struggle.
The next day the LVT flooring went down and we are absolutely delighted with the end result. The flooring is excellent quality and exactly meets Dad’s needs. It has been fitted with great care and attention to detail on all the doorways and looks fantastic.
We were very happy with the pricing on all elements and with the exception of a couple of niggles service from beginning to end has been fantastic.

I have just had a delivery of very large bed and two singles and four chairs plus extras.
The delivery people were very good and nothing was too much trouble certainly use them again.

From initial visit to Boston Downtown the staff, especially Emma, were excellent. We then purchased new table and chairs after a lot of deliberation. They were delivered today and the delivery guys were very good. The exceptional service from start to finish was first class. Would recommend them to all looking for good service.

Visited Downtown last week ( 13/7/26 ) to view furniture. We were looking for 2 x 2 seater recliner sofas and a recliner chair. Found exactly what we wanted , with the added bonus of seeing 2 x swivel recliners with footstool.
Off we went to make comparison visits at other retailers.
No contest, back to Downtown ( 16/7/26 ) to confirm our favourable thoughts and on doing so were joined by salesman Gary.
He quickly and efficiently went through the purchase/ delivery process etc. We left as two very happy people.

I admit, I'd never heard of Downtown.
When I saw they had the kitchen scales I wanted at a great price, I checked Trustpilot & was happy to order based on previous reviews.
Website is easy to use, great communication from the company.
Delivery exactly as promised.
Very happy with my purchase experience & would gladly recommend the company to anyone 😀
