Drench sent me a broken toilet seat
Drench sent me a broken toilet seat. I didn't check it immediately and installed it after about a month. By this time they wouldn't replace it despite it being unused and still in its packaging which seems harsh.

We kindly ask customers to check their delivery, preferably within 48 hours of receipt, and report to us any issue they may regrettably find with an item. However, we understand this is not always possible, so we do have an extended period of 30 days to help with this.
We do appreciate that customers may wish to keep their items protected whilst there are ongoing renovation works, but we simply ask that the items are checked and they can then be placed back inside the packaging to protect them until the installation date. After reviewing your case, damage was sadly reported to us after this timeframe. We sincerely regret this has happened, but we emphasise our checking period as much as possible for the customer, so as to avoid disappointment such as this. Again, we can only sincerely apologise for any disappointment and inconvenience this may have caused. We regret that we were unable to resolve the problem to your satisfaction.

1★ – WARNING: Shameful customer conduct
I had a very disappointing experience with Drench.
I purchased a vanity unit (Drench Groove 600mm Fluted Wall Hung Vanity Unit & Matt Stone Basin) which was clearly not new. It arrived with silicone residue inside the basin and the waste already pre-installed, strongly suggesting it had been previously installed or returned.
What I find most shocking is not only the refusal to acknowledge the issue, but that an expensive second-hand item was supplied as new, seemingly in the hope that it would go unnoticed.
This was only discovered during installation (the first reasonable opportunity to inspect the interior), at which point I reported it immediately. Drench refused to take responsibility and instead relied on their Terms and Conditions, stating that issues must be reported within 2 days of delivery and prior to installation.
This is unacceptable. Customers cannot reasonably identify hidden defects without proper inspection, and installation does not remove statutory rights where goods are not as described or not of satisfactory quality.
Despite clear evidence, Drench refused to provide a full refund and only offered partial compensation.
I ultimately had to escalate the matter through my credit card provider, and the case was resolved in my favour.
I would strongly warn potential customers to proceed with caution. If something goes wrong, do not expect fair or reasonable handling from this company

With regard to reporting timeframes, our policy asks that any issues be raised within 2 days of delivery and prior to installation, as installation can make it more difficult to assess the original condition of the item. That said, we appreciate your point that some issues may only become apparent during installation, and we’re sorry if this was not handled in a way that felt fair or reasonable.
We regret that we were unable to reach a resolution that met your expectations and that you felt the need to escalate the matter further. Item not delivered some 2 weeks after alleged dispatch. Drench customer service utterly uninterested in chasing the courier company (EVRI) which reflects badly on them. I would avoid until Drench starts using a more reliable and contactable courier.

I purchased a brass framed shower…
I purchased a brass framed shower screen in 2021 from Drench, however approximately 12 months later the metal started to tarnish. This has become progressively worse to the extent where the entire shower screen requires replacing. The worst area affected is the hinge of the flipper panel. The company have declined to take any responsibility for the defect and instead blamed in on usage of incorrect cleaning products, despite only using mild soap and water to clean the screen and there has never been any proudest used in the mechanism of the flipper panel. There has never been anything abrasive used on the frame nor the screen. I would be very cautious about using this company as their customer service has been nothing short of appalling. The screen is clearly not fit for purpose and requires replacement and they couldn’t care less.
