I really wanted to buy a lifetime plan from Drime. But after testing it on a free account, I realized that it's way too raw and full of bugs for me to take it seriously.
I uploaded a 19.8 GB folder with 10 subfolders in it. Upload was marked as successful.
Then I tried to download this 19.8 GB folder back to my computer. When it was reaching approximately 1.7 GB, download was marked as complete, and no error message appeared. But downloaded zip couldn't be opened, of course, because it was incomplete. I tried again, with the same result.
Then I tried to download each subfolder in the big folder individually. This worked, but extremely slowly. But then I decided to compare the content of each downloaded subfolder with the original folders on my computer. This is where the real deal-breaker came. One downloaded folders was missing 2 files.
To double-check, I downloaded this folder again, completely on its own, to check if the loss has happened during upload or download. And this newly downloaded folder was also missing 2 files.
That means that upload was marked as successful by Drime, but 2 files were lost. It means that a user can think that they've backed up all their files, but some were actually lost. In my view, this makes the cloud service dangerous to use, and for my needs completely useless.
And that's not all. Vault was working one day, but completely failed on another. Upload wasn't starting. And when I tried to download files that I uploaded to vault previously, Drime marked download as Complete, but the downloaded zip was empty. I tried again, with the same result.
To be fair, I contacted Drime team about some of these issues. They said that they were either aware of them, or that they would be testing the system.
So the team is responsive. But then I realized that 2 files were missing, and it was too much for me. I dropped the idea of buying Drime.
This is quite disappointing. I was planning to buy a 6TB lifetime plan on StackSocial. I'm really glad I did this testing before purchasing.

very good site and dream (drime) experience
20 GB free, to start with it's better than Google, it's French, so your privacy is guaranteed (GDPR)
Really nice. Had some trouble with uploading folders, thats why 4 stars, but was very easy to work around (create folder with that name, upload contents to that folder.)
Overall super nice clean feel to everything.

Starting using Drime and everything seems great so far! Web interface is very sleek and offers many built in tools. Dev team is very kind, responsive and seems to be hard at work into making Drime as good as it can be.

For now, everything's fine. I believe in this company's growth. I bought a 6-terabyte lifetime plan, considering it an investment in a young, promising company. I hope that in the future, when you succeed in the market, you won't look for ways to get rid of such users or limit their plan options. Unfortunately, there are companies that take advantage of such financial support and then get rid of the "ballast."

Except the cost factor the product requires more refinement for better user experience

I am paid-user and I want to share my point of view: Drime offers impressive speed and affordability compared to similar services. Their support team responds promptly to reported issues. However, as a relatively new platform still in development, users may encounter minor problems like occasional file sync errors, no automatic photo backup feature yet, and slow loading or failures with large PDF files. The company transparently shares its development roadmap (check their subreddit r/Drime for updates). I recommend Drime if you enjoy testing early-stage products and don’t mind contributing feedback. Avoid it if you prioritize a completely stable, error-free experience from day one.

cannot even try the demo, my account got banned with no explanation without even uploading a single file. there is no way to contact
update: problem seems solved now, still not sure why it happened in the first place, customer support was very fast

I discovered Drime a few days ago and immediately signed up to try the free 20GB of storage. I'm very happy with the service; I only have problems sharing files on Android. I hope it's only for the free versions, as I'm planning on subscribing to a plan.

I discovered Drime a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. Although I'm still exploring all its features, it's one of the fastest and most reliable cloud services I've tried (and I've tried quite a few). The only thing missing is a backup tool for Mac (or at least I haven't found it) to make it complete. But for now, it gets a 10 out of 10.

Uncomplicated, enough space, EU compliant privacy. Very good product.
So far loving the experience. Wish you the best
