I had an experience at Classic Coffee Girona that I honestly never thought I would see in a café.
I walked in and ordered a coffee. The woman behind the counter, a blonde wearing a cap, was busy on her computer and barely acknowledged me when I arrived. That was already disappointing, but what happened next was unbelievable.
While preparing my coffee, I clearly saw her pick her nose, look at her finger, and then continue making the drink without washing her hands or even attempting any basic hygiene measures. I was completely shocked.
When she finally handed me the coffee, I couldn't bring myself to drink it. I simply turned around and walked straight out.
I've visited many cafés over the years and have never witnessed anything like this. Hygiene should be the absolute minimum standard in any place serving food and drinks. Unfortunately, this experience left me with no confidence in returning.
