I had put a review after requesting a fix from Drone Nerds but wanted to change it a bit.
My review is going from "bad service" to "Deceptive Business Practices". Stay away from Drone Nerds especially if you are from out of town.
We use our drone for a High School. We paid almost $1000 to get it fixed and the job was no done right. Now, I cannot get a hold of them anymore. They just stole $1000 from high school kids pretty much.
Our drone does not fly, and they put an old used gimbal camera on it. The drone is pretty much useless.
Hate for anyone else to go through this. Stay away from these people.
This process going through Dronenerrs slowed the repair process down and extended the down time to months. As first responders, the turnaround time is essential.
Payed almost $150 for nothing to be fixed. I sent in my drone to get fixed March 1st (-$35 shipping) and today March 25th am finally getting it back still not working. They said dji doesn’t offer them the part they need to fix it and their solution was offering me a new remote for $200 + $35 shipping or just paying $104 for a diagnostic fee, and shipping to get my drone back. (Now I’m down -$140 and still no drone) When I finally got it back today and went to go sign for the package the fedex guy said I had to be 21 to receive the package.
I had brought the inspire 2 as it didn’t feel it was flying right. Stuart diagnosed it and found some issue with the motor and some screws. After repair The drone flies like new. Super fast turnaround time and excellent customer service. Thank you
I wish Drone Nerds could expand to Everything Nerds! These guys are the new unicorns of the retail industry, honestly. The customer service they provide is unheard of anymore in our current society. My man Drew solved my issue in a 45 second phone call after less than 30 seconds of “on hold” time! That just does not happen anymore. This is my second large purchase in over 5 years of being their customer and cheers to many more. 11/10… would def recommend!

What they say on their website 7-10 days is the biggest lie.It took them 13 days with me calling every day after the 10th day to ask and their response was promises and promises that they ll look into it
On day 13 th I finally got an email that my drone was finally diagnosed and will cost such and such( a lot) but what can I do after 2 weeks waiting i agreed.
after that they called me telling me that they fixed the physical damages but the cant link the drone to the RC and I need to send the drone to DJI so they can link it. I agreed to be sent to DJI in which I waited 2 weeks for them to send it to TX.After 2 weeks I called and they saids the drone is still at the shop in the UPS bin and will be send in a couple of hours,,,,that was a lie too
3days later I called because i did not get notification from UPS about my package and my drone was still at the UPS bin waiting on someone to actualy send it. finally another week later my drone was in TX That of course cost me $200 on top of the 400 to the Dronenerds when Josh the technician that repaired my drone said that DJI wont charge me anything but they did. So any way
DO NOT GAMBLE WITH DRONE NERDS GO TO DJI DIRECTLY
Got my drone diagnosed and evaluated, and while I did not get the needed repairs done, I did appreciate tge prompt response and preparations made to ship my drone back to me expeditiously and with a readily provided Tracking number. I’ll surely use Drone Nerds again, and I recommend them to others who may be considering using tgem too.
I ordered some replacement propeller wings for my Anafi drone as the ones I had ordered from Amazon from a different company did not fit correctly. I received the wings but unfortunately the box they came in was damaged and one of the wings was crunched. I wrote to see if I could get the one wing that was damaged replaced and without hesitation, they sent me a new order. Great customer service and will buy any parts I need from them in the future.

The website said roughly 7 to 10 days it took more like 12 to 16 days. I was told work on the drone was $365 and once I approved the work, they would start within 24 hours 4 business days went by and there was no work on the drone then on the fifth day I got an email saying the price went up to $710 but they can sell me a new drone a lot cheaper. I asked for the drone to be returned and no work be completed on it. I was told that I would receive a bill in my email for the evaluation and shipping charges and It took another four business days. It seems like every time I requested an update they added days on to make me wait , I would send an email two days would go by before I received any updates. This company is horrible. My drone was down for months and I still don’t have it back yet. I do not recommend this service from this company They are horrible.
Everyone at Drone Nerds that I emailed or talked to were very helpful. They kept me informed throughout the entire repair process and rushed the repair at my request and returned it to me in tip top shape. I would recommend Drone Nerds to anyone needing a drone repair!
Drone Repair Review - DJI Phantom 4 v 2.
There are still a few firms that delivery more than they promise and Drone Nerds is one of those few. This was an exceptional experience from start to finish. It is an easy process to start a repair ticket. (Advice, use FedEx ground to ship your drone). Once received by DN, I received an acknowledgement with details photos of my drone and controller. My tech, Josh, kept me updated with emails. Test flights and bench testing indicated that I needed a new GPS unit. Josh informed me when it was repaired and test flown. It was shipped back via FedEx, perfectly packed.
Experts doing what they do best here it seems. Timely service with care is appreciated!
