Dorna reassured me that she would be able to bleach my healthy type 4 afro hair to a consistent shade of blonde. Not only did she not achieve the colour she said she would, I also suffered severe breakage and had large patches of my hair that were left only an inch long. I ended up having to shave my head which as someone who had very thick and kinky hair that was past my shoulders was very distressing for me.
