top quality dog, kennel very pleased with it

I ordered a cat chalet from them as I had 2 before and they were fine. I asked for a canopy and for the sides to be filled in. The chalet arrived after a delay on 26/02/24.as it was being assembled I noticed there was no side panels and no canopy. I was told by the fitter Daniel it could be rectified later. Despite a phone call and email they haven't responded. I paid £2750 up front for a glorified shed. I am very disappointed.

We purchased a dog run and kennel from this company around 10 years ago, absolutely fabulous kennel and run and totally worth the money we paid.
Forward ten years and a totally different story,we purchased a dog run , kennel and a shed from this company, having moved to a new house we decided to purchase new for our animals. We paid this company £1300 upfront for our new purchases, originally they were very accommodating in our needs for delivery. We were away on holiday on the agreed date so our son took delivery for us, all was good with delivery and erection, but the good ends there.
The kennel was missing the sliding hatch and air vent, the kennel door was very warped and does not close properly, and the door on the run is also warped and the bottom bolt struggles to lock. Please look at the photos and enlarge them it’s clear to see.
The company were contacted on our return from holiday regards these issues and did return to replace a piece of fascia on the shed, all other issues were reported then and the guy agreed they were not as they should have been, said he would speak with his father and get us 2 new doors made.
Numerous phone calls to Kevin and I did manage to speak to him once and he agreed we needed the items. I have since phoned many times, emailed more than once but to no avail, I believe as a previous customer has written, they get your number and either block it or just don’t answer, it’s very frustrating. In one message I told them my wife was on holiday and would it be possible to get repairs done while she was at home, once again no reply. We are now seven weeks down the line and I have to admit,giving up hope .All I can do now is advise people to AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I have been trying to get a refund of my money for the last 6 months. They never answer the phone or respond to emails. This customer service is the worst i have ever experienced. Don't whatever you do pay upfront with this company. You'll never get it back if anything goes wrong.

Ordered my outdoor kennel in September 2022.
November 2022 I was calling & emailing for a delivery date that should of been delivered six weeks later.
I asked for a phone call to give me some notice for delivery for arranging time off work and so on. Phone call on 18th Nov 2022 telling me it’s coming tomorrow, thanks for no notice.

So arrived on 18th Nov lovely lad’s, all set up with no hassle, so we thought, one inside panel is missing, but don’t worry we have it in the work shop and we pass you every day for deliveries, so will be here by next week !!!

Todays date is 13th Jan 2023 nearly 2 months and still no delivery of the missing panel.

I have rang countless times now, the one time he did answer I was told both lads have been sacked, but don’t worry will be here next week !!!

Obviously screening my calls now because no one answers the phone now, or answering emails.

Told then i needed a bigger pop hole for the dog entrance they googled my breed and said that's no problem. Daniel the fitter great guy, ontime great banter and very polite. Will deffo use again when required and not even look else where. Top company well done. Thankyou.

Excellent experience.
After a disaster with another company we contacted Duchy Farm Kennels. Via both email and phone they were very helpful and honest. We decided to order and within three and a half weeks my new rabbit shed was sat in my garden. Fitter was amazing, super fast and polite. Obviously I can't yet speak for the longevity of the shed but it rained the whole time it was being put up and for about 12 hours after and so far not a drop of water has got inside. We did have one concern whilst it was being fitted but I was able to contact the office immediately, and they had both reassurances and a fast solution for us - the solution wasn't needed in the end. Overall, couldn't recommend them enough. Lovely to work with.

No complaint. Our home shed is excellent. A quality wood and finish. This is the second shed we have bought from Duchy Kennels for our domestic needs. Duchy really ought to be marketing the domestic side of the business more! The fitter worked quickly and efficiently despite the torrential rain! Latterly he was working in the dark by torch-light! Fantastic service before and after, great quality and price. I ordered a custom design with delivery and build up opposite end of U.K. and received a superior quality product for much less than I could get anywhere locally and fantastic communication and after sales. Will definitely be my go to next time I need an animal enclosure.

I ordered a kennel for my rabbit and it has been poor from the start. Ordering over the phone was easy enough but there was no communication from them afterwards, not even a confirmation email of our order. The first communication we had from them was after 6 weeks when they phoned to give us 3 days notice for when it would be arriving.

The kennel started leaking the same day it was built. When it rains, water seeps in from everywhere around the base. There are large puddles of water constantly on the floor of the kennel. Water has even soaked through the timber sides and the roof so the wood is constantly saturated with water on the inside. Everything is damp.

We have tried to patch it ourselves to avoid the hassle of trying to get the company to fix it, but its beyond minor repairs. Its shoddy quality and poor workmanship and It's not suitable for our pet to live in.

I haven't contacted Duchy yet but I will be doing that next week, and I'm not going to let up until they fix it or refund me the cost. It has cost us £1000 for a poor quality and unsuitable kennel, not to mention a whole lot of effort to try and make it waterproof. It's just not acceptable.

It also seems that other reviewers have had similar issues to ours so it can't even be said that our poor experience was a one off. On that basis, I would definitely avoid buying from this company. I wish we had gone elsewhere.

Got delivered our kennel this morning exactly the time he said and expertly put together well pleased with the craftsmanship. But lacking in customer service with the estimated delivery time had to keep ringing to find out when would be delivered.

I ordered the birch kennel for my rabbit, And had it adapted slightly, smaller gauge wire and pop hole. It took about 4 weeks for delivery which isn’t bad, everywhere is really busy at the moment.
The man who delivered and erected the kennel was friendly and efficient.
It’s a great product and our rabbit loves it.

Firstly to clear things up, the actual kennel is good quality, solid and overall impressed with it (but it did cost £808, you'd expect it to be excellent)

2 days after the kennel was installed, it started to leak from the walls all the way around, so instantly I took pictures and emailed the company, 3 times.

2 days after that, no response, so I decided to ring up, a woman answered and took my details and initially I was happy with that as I expected to get a reply fairly soon.

2 days further down the line, no follow up from them so I rang them up AGAIN, to find out what the hell was going on, the woman on the phone didnt even recognise my details or my complaint, again I was told that somebody would be in touch.

To date, no follow up or any sort of contact to sort my issue, the kennel is unusable with damp coming into the sleeping area, I have given up with the company, absolutely useless customer services.

I refuse to waste any more effort in this company, I'm gutted to have spent so much money and being so much disregard when an issue cropped up. I advise anyone to think twice about using this company, good luck if you have an issue!!!

From start to finish Kev and his fitter did an amazing job. Ordered on line, Kev called to suggest a few tweaks and actually reduced the cost.

After a meeting with the owner Kevin at his workplace, I found him to be very helpful and also offered very good advice. I looked at a kennel in his workshops and found it to be exactly what I wanted and made to a high standard so I placed my order. I chose to build the kennel myself which I found easy due to advice received from the delivery man who arrived promptly at the agreed time. I will not hesitate using this company again and I would recommend its product range and first class service to anyone.

The company was highly recommended to me by a friend, who had previous connections. I found arranging a day for the kennel to be built to be rather difficult. Working weekdays and only being given 24 hour notice that someone would come round the next day caused friction at my workplace, as I had to ask for the following day off as annual leave at very last minute.

The gentlemen who came to build the hutch seemed friendly and worked quickly.

The kennel was built in December last year. The following couple of months we had a lot of rain. The kennel leaked. My three rabbits live in the kennel and there was an incredible amount of rain water inside the hutch.

I attempted to contact the company, as I discovered that two side panels were not sufficiently together. I found the woman on the phone to be quite difficult with me and largely seemed uninterested. Again I was told someone could eventually come out but it would be with 24 hours notice again. I was also informed that it would be a couple of weeks until someone could come out.

This was not good enough in my opinion as it was clearly poor workmanship that had caused the leak. I had to therefore purchase a rather expensive custom made cover to go over the kennel to prevent it leaking.

I attempted to contact the company again later on but after numerous emails and letter I have heard nothing.

Personally I consider their customer service to be appalling and I felt it was such a rushed job. I also noticed screws sticking out inside the kennel which is exceptional dangerous. They knew the kennel was for my rabbits too. I would definitely not recommend them.

I've had 2 very good solid wood kennels from Duchy and the quality is second to none, delivered and assembled at my house by a very friendly man. Would definately recommend and would use again.

We spent a long time deciding which company to use when choosing our kennel and we're very happy that we ended up going with Duchy Farm Kennels. We chose the Chesterfield chalet in 12x8 with insulation, and our two dogs love it. The kennel was up within a matter of hours and the two guys building it were very polite and professional. Since having it we've had some pretty bad weather (storm Doris) but it's standing strong and looks like it will be there for many years to come. If I had to think of one tiny negative it would be a bit of a slow response to emails after ordering - but that was probably me being over anxious and impatient! I would definitely use Duchy Farm Kennels again and would recommend others to also, a very good quality kennel at a good price. Thank you to all involved!
