I've canceled my subscription
I've canceled my subscription, but they keep trying to bill my credit card. They are up to 3 additional attempts, and continue to try to bill me for a canceled subscription.
Great product & customer service
Great product and the customer service is fantastic. The app just works. I’ve used Duet to connect my old iPad to a windows PC. There’s a noticeable delay, which is understandable due to hardware/software limitations, but it’s perfectly usable and I’ve used it for coding, viewing documents, chats, file management, displaying live stats etc. (the touchscreen is an added bonus! and this also just works). The colors and image quality are great. You might briefly see some compression artifacts when a lot is moving, but nothing that affects the overall experience.
Duet Display works great to connect my…
Duet Display works great to connect my iPad Pro with my Windows 11 laptop AND my Mac Mini. It’s close to being connected physically. It also works great to mirror my Mac Mini on my Windows 11 laptop. I am using wirelessly. I had hoped that I could control the iPad Pro from the Mac Mini, but not an option yet.
I use Duet almost daily
I use Duet to mirror my screen to a teleprompter during video calls. It helps to improve communication experience 10x as eye contact and fast reaction matter a lot. The app needs occasional reboot (like once a year I run into a minor issue) but it goes away quickly and customer support is quite friendly.
Abusive I have been charged 50+ dollars !!
I have been charged 50+ dollars !!! I have cancelled weeks before !!
Even the due date is in two weeks !!
Supports responds like AI and close the ticket saying you have not been charged , I provided proof of charge screenshots from Amex but still nothing pretty sure AI is replying to me.

Misleading free trial
Duet Display’s “free trial” is a scam. They collect your payment info up front, then make cancelling impossible. If your product needs trickery to get paid, it’s not worth paying for ! Claiming you can cancel “anytime from your account” is false.
There is no option to cancel the subscription anywhere in the account dashboard, and there are no instructions in the Terms & Conditions or on the website explaining how to cancel. Even though I have emailed everyone at Duet Display, the legal department of course remain well silent and the customer support does not confirm my cancellation despite the repeated requests but keep asking me questions about the product. They are scammers be aware , if the product was really good they would not have to make so many false reviews and they would make it easier for the customer to choose if to stay or leave !

Wonderful customer service.
Wonderful customer service.
I have used this for the last several months and recently I had to make a change to my account. Their response was amazing, just like their product.
Very helpful and responded very quickly!
Very reactive
Very reactive. I had trouble fixing duet display on my windows laptop, after several mails I was able to use the cable link to my IPad Pro
Recommend + great support
Been using it for years.
Recently got a problem, the app needed an update.
For whatever reason, my company computer couldn't update the app anymore.
I sent an email to the support.
In a matters of hours, they sent me a new installer.
Everything is working like a charm now.
Thanks again !
Duet Air & Studio are good products, good support team
Duet Air and Duet Studio are good products, the support team is also very good once you've gone past the AI replies and get a human interaction. Everyone that replied on the support email was helpful and replied quite quickly. Though it took some time they did resolve my technical problem.
Recurring Charges With Zero Communication From Duet
Back in 2021, I purchased Duet Display Air, which I clearly remember being a one-time purchase. I used it briefly, then stopped, and haven’t touched the app or service since.
Fast forward to 2025, I suddenly received an email from Duet saying my subscription will renew on March 21, 2025, and that my Visa card ending in XXXX will be charged $19.99 USD.
To my surprise, I checked my bank account and saw that I had already been charged the $19.99 this year despite never receiving a single billing email or renewal notice from 2022 to 2024. What’s more frustrating is that this 2025 email is the very first time they ever contacted me about a “subscription renewal”. I also don’t recall ever authorizing them to store or reuse my card beyond the original purchase.
Even assuming it was a yearly subscription, there should have been clear, consistent notices about automatic renewals — and I honestly doubt I would have knowingly agreed to an annual plan back then. I was still a student in 2021, not yet working, and would never have opted for recurring billing like this without being fully aware of it.
Uninstaller Leaves Traces Behind
I uninstalled Duet Display on Windows, but when I checked with the Autoruns utility, I found that the 'Duet Display' utility was still registered in the startup programs. This is frustrating and raises questions about how thoroughly the uninstaller cleans up. Please ensure your software uninstalls properly to avoid leaving behind unnecessary clutter. Users expect a complete removal when they choose to uninstall an app.

DUET ARE SHAMELESS SCAMMERS
Duet Display is by far the biggest scam I’ve encountered. Their entire business model seems designed to trap users into paying for a subscription. They make you sign up for a “free trial” just to see if their app even works. But here’s the catch—if you cancel the trial immediately (as I did after discovering within two minutes that the app doesn’t work), they still try to charge you once the trial ends.
Even after canceling, they attempted to charge my card multiple times. Luckily, I was able to block the charges by locking my card, but the persistence with which they tried to collect payment is outrageous. I emailed their customer support over 20 times explaining the issue, and all I received was empty apologies, repeated questions, and absolutely no resolution. Yet, they still continue their attempts to charge me.
This company is built on deceit. Their app doesn’t work, their customer support is useless, and their business practices are predatory. If they keep trying to charge me, I will take legal action against them.
Avoid Duet Display at all costs. These people are thieves, and their service is nothing but a trap to steal your money.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! DONT TOUCH THE TRIAL!
Apparently Duet used to be really good and is still riding off those old reviews. I have been using synergy by symless which works well but i didnt like the manual download for updates. I decided to give duet a try after seeing so much talk about it online (Later seeing its all old articles) EVEN THOUGH i saw on reddit how many people have problems these days with them. Unfortunately as a solutions architect, i know that a lot of companies have at least some limited control over the reviews that get posted and so sadly reddit is the best place to get a wide variety of opinions and experiences.
I downloaded the 7 day trial with the intent of using it as a software KVM to use my mouse/keyboard on TWO seperate computers/monitors (Windows 11). I downloaded the trial and immediately it DID not work. It did NOT have the option to use mouse/keyboard, it ONLY had extend/mirror. Their support was no help but eventually i got it to show up by rebooting and starting/stopping services and reinstalling. Once it showed up though, the mouse would move only slightly onto the other monitor, not even enough to click the start button for the other OS. I went back and forth with their support, they respond at maybe one email per day...and i even said to them in the email, that if it was NOT resolved by the fourth day, the account would need to be cancelled so as not to charge me. Needless to say they did not solve the problem, they did not cancel my account, they charged me $80 and stopped responding to emails. I am reporting them to the state attorney general office for this - they worded the trial as though you could download and try for seven days and then if not cancelling would be charged $80 for the YEAR, however, they billed the statement as an $80 TRIAL which means they get to argue that i paid $80 for a 7 day trial. Needless to say they no longer respond to emails and that $80 is lost but i will be sure to tell as many people as i can about my experience. I also have pictures.

Breaks laws and harrashes their costumers
Just got a mail from Duet with a request of resubscribing after I made it absolutely clear not to contact me. You haven't deleted my information either as requested. So I have made a case against your company for GDPR violation and harassment.
