Avoid this company at all costs
Avoid this company at all costs. They have very underhand practice around renewal. They did not send through renewal details 21 days before and are now attempting to claim a cancellation fee of
about £50. A complaint will be lodged and potentially which will no doubt need to go to the Ombudsman as other reviews suggest that they don't bother to
respond to complaints.

I broke down at a busy set of traffic lights at work/school rush hour. I had my granddaughter with me, this was in Colchester and the verbal abuse I was getting was awful. I told the assistant I was diabetic, suffered with anxiety. The service I received was very good quick to answer phone, quick to arrive and phone calls to see if I was ok

Not long to wait on a Sunday morning out in the country. Driver was very helpful and knowledgable. My first callout with this company I can highly recommend them.

Excellent service
Having never having had to use a breakdown service before & was wary because of the cheap price I'd paid for the Dynamo cover , I can't fault the service I received. I broke down as I got to my holiday destination & someone was with me within the hour. My car couldn't be fixed there so it was arranged to recover me on the Friday at the end of my holiday so I still got to enjoy my holiday.
Both of the guys from the local recovery company were excellent & put me & my friend my ease being 2 ladies on their own.
Olivia from Dynamo was also a great help.
Punctured tyre on the motorway Easter…
Punctured tyre on the motorway Easter Saturday, pulled into the hard shoulder and reported the breakdown immediately via the online portal. I was back on the road within the hour. Note I had a spare tyre and our tow truck was fortunately not too far, however the experience of reporting it was smooth and I got updated regularly. Dynamo were courteous in calling us up to make sure our problem was resolved. A stress free experience because of them, thank you.

Would not recommend. Left myself and my friend stranded in a dark country road, 4 hours from home, for 7 hours. Lack of communication, I had to ring and chase them. Told me to pay for a taxi upfront which I wouldn’t have the funds for so they did pay for one upfront. The people I spoke to were polite but unfortunately the lack of communication, the lack of care that two young women were stranded on a dark country road, unlit, by themselves for hours didn’t seem to bother them. Would not recommend, don’t care about your safety and no rush in getting anything sorted. Poor communication throughout.

First time I’ve used dynamo break down recovery. They came out quick and smooth from start to finish. Kept me informed all the way and fixed the problem. Got me back on the road. Their as good a breakdown cover for a fraction of the price of both AA and rac I would highly recommend this service easy to report my issue. Will definitely be staying in the future

Quick and easy
Had a tyre blow out and they made it really quick and easy to get someone out. Within 40 minutes I had my tyre sorted and was on my way. They even called later on to make sure I was okay and everything was sorted. Would 100% recommend.
Impossible to contact customer service
I wanted to cancel my policy I bought online just a few hours after I had purchased it but seems to be impossible. Better to get scammed now rather when I break down and get stranded.

Upped my renewal price from one annual payment of £18.99 to £85 spread over monthly charges!!! The renewal reminder went to junk box until I saw the initial payment from my bank account. No cooling off period as it is apparently a "renewal" and a cancellation fee of £15.99!!! I'm out £40 for nothing. AVOID!!!!!
BEWARE 'Dynamo' deducts penalty payment from your card if you don't comply with post-purchase requests for vehicle data
AFTER PURCHASE, 'Dynamo' will penalise you and make unauthorised deductions from your payment card IF you do not comply with data they might seek about your vehicle.
They call this "policy validation", but any data validation requests SHOULD be made clear prior to purchase and prior to policy start date. If the data is material and absolutely required [it isn't!], a more reasonable company would instead choose to suspend cover for [in their words] "non-compliance".
Recommend all policyholders take steps to prevent 'Dynamo' from deducting subsequent payments from your bank card. Recommend also submitting complaint via Financial Ombudsman Service.

Auto renew nightmare
Giving one star as there are no zero stars. The company is an absolute robber. I had explicitly set the auto renew off but they have now removed that option from website and renewed anyways. Customer service is non-existent.
You can not see what payment details they hold on file so they can merry and charge you whatever they want.
I would just say pay the cancellation fee, get out of it and do not go near them ever.
Do not fall for the cheap first year policy as they will make much more off you after that.
