Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 118 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers express significant dissatisfaction with the product's quality, particularly regarding the batteries, which often fail prematurely and are very expensive to replace. Reviewers frequently report issues with the warranty process, stating that the company does not honor its advertised warranty periods for batteries and tools. The customer service is consistently described as unhelpful, rude, and difficult to communicate with, leading to frustration when trying to resolve product or warranty problems. Some people also felt that the pricing of replacement batteries is exorbitant, often costing more than new equipment, which makes the products an unsustainable investment. Conversely, a small portion of people felt that the tools themselves work well and offer good performance, with some reviewers having positive experiences with battery longevity.

I wish I wouldn’t spend my heart and money on this. I did it for my health to get away from the gas. I’ve had nothing but problems. My battery doesn’t work. Customer service is terrible. I’m throwing the equipment away and going back to gas. Don’t waste your money.

Easy day for changing blades

First, i want to say that i have no association with Ego other than as a consumer. I bought the Z6 riding mower last year and used it hard the entire summer. I have almost 16000 sq ft of yard. It functioned flawlessly all year and compared to the gas rider i had, my maintenance time with the ego was almost zero. Wash it down when i was done and make sure the tires are fully inflated. This year i knew that it was time to change the blades so i prepared to do a job that took me 4 hours with my gas mower three years ago. 30 minutes later the blades were done and 10 minutes of that was just looking at what a nice job ego did on manufacturing the mower. No gas, no oil, no belts and easy mowing. Best quality mower of any one

I regret spending $500,000 on this…

I regret spending $500,000 on this company’s products. The equipment failed far too soon, and when I reached out for support, they offered no real help. Instead, they expected me to spend even more money on expensive replacements.

The customer service was useless—just excuses and no solutions. After wasting time and money, I realized this was a terrible investment. Thankfully, the organization tagged in my bio came to my rescue and helped me recover my funds.

Save yourself the headache and avoid this company. Their products don’t last, and their support is a joke.

If I could give it 0 stars I would

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Poor excuse of a boutique. I placed an order 3 weeks prior to Valentine’s Day, for 2 weeks my package did not move, I reached out requesting a refund, was informed I could not be given one and I kept getting updates on the package whereabouts instead of addressing my refund. I explained I did not want the clothes anymore, and their only response was “we will update you on what the courier set”. They have a cheap, poor shopping experience but their clothes are priced for a type of place that should offer some type of experience. After all they charge $20 per shirt. I would not recommend, find the cute top elsewhere because you won’t get it on time from here. It’s been 2 weeks since my package was duppposed to be delivered, still not here, shein WOULD NEVER

Love my Ego products

I own three Ego products and will never go back to Gas products. The blower, mower, and trimmer are the best I've ever owned. Great battery life and power. Never had a single problem in the years I've owned them.
You won't be sorry if you purchase them.

This company is the worst

This company is the worst. Batteries are sooo bad. I have had 4 die on me and two they did not replace because I copuld not provide the receipt even though the side of the battery has the date manufactured on it. I ended up having to throw them away. At 650 dollars a pop I would expect them to last longer than a year. Every time I call their support is terrible. Buy any other power tools. GreenWorks. Craftman, Ryobi....No way they are worse than these tools.

Amazing products

Ive been using EGo Products for about 4 years. I have a string timmer, leaf blower and push mower.
They all exceed my expectations.
Batteries are not cheap to buy separately so I ALWAYS buy the kit when I need a tool. Best bang for buck as your battery collection can grow this way.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!! I would NEVER recommend anyone to purchase an EGO product. They are overpriced and there is virtually NO CUSTOMER SERVICE to speak of. I was told that they would replace the unit and come to pick up the other machine. No one contacted me so I contacted EGO. At that time I was told that I had to bring it 1 hour 18 minutes from my home for service. That means I need to rent a trailer, drive 60 miles away, come home, have the unit repaired, rent a trailer again, drive another 60 miles to and from the service location. All at MY EXPENSE. I have read the reviews on Trust Pilot. Your poor service is all over that site. I don't know how you people stay in business. If I hear of ANYONE even thinking of purchasing an EGO product, I will do everything in my power to steer them in another direction and EGO is overprice and the so-called Warranty is not worth the paper it is printed on. ONE OF THE WORST PURCHASES I HAVE EVER MADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I could give it 0 stars I would.

Batteries are a big let down - stay away from EGO

I have a number of EGO products, they perform quite well. However the batteries are a big let down - after a couple of years they become unreliable and lose capacity big time. If I were not so invested in EGO I would change to STIHL who seem to have taken time to get things right. Very disappointed, once again being an early adopter has a big cost. Customer service is poor.

Leaf Blower gives electric shocks

I have had the ego LB5300 handheld leaf blower for about a year without a problem. This morning I was getting electric shocks every few seconds through the handle! I called ego customer service who said this is normal and to wear gloves. Really!?
The customer service person was very nice but seemed primarily trained to obtain customer information for marketing.

EGO Customer Service is the Worst

I purchased an EGO SNT2410 snowblower 11/30/23. We had very little snow last winter and I didn’t get a chance to use it until December 2024. I had snow clogging up in the left auger. I cleaned it out and chalked it up to packing snow. I used it 3 days ago in powder snow and had the same clogging problem. Upon inspection I noticed that the left auger was jammed right into the wall of the bucket and stuck against the bolt which holds the skid plate in place. I called Rona Canada, where I bought it which is a similar retailer like Lowe’s in the U.S.. Rona referred me to EGO customer service since it was over a year old even though it was like new and only used twice.
This is where everything went downhill. EGO customer service wanted me to bring the heavy blower to a third party service centre 50kms from where I live. I called the service centre and they asked for pics. They promptly called me back saying the factory installed my augers backwards and to call EGO back for a replacement blower. I called EGO back. After many calls with pics and video sent I was told they can send me new augers which I can install myself or I can rent a UHaul at my expense and bring it to a service centre. This company screwed up the assembly of their equipment and they want the customer to fix it. This is totally unbelievable! I do not recommend anyone buying any of their products because if you have an issue they will not stand behind their products!

I will never buy any EGO products…

I will never buy any EGO products again. First off customer service is horrendous. Why is EGO using reps that have no knowledge of the products and cant make a decision if their life depended on it. I think I spoke to 1 white person out of 8 reps and she was competent. The reps inform that they will call back with some updated info but ghost you because they have no desire or skill set to perform the job hired to do.
Secondly the products are shit. Batteries last just over 3 years and then garbage, paying good money for crap
Thirdly, I have been waiting over 2 months for my blower repairs due to EGO rep not doing his job. Shit company, shit customer service and shit products. This is a no brainer, to never buy their products again and buy brands that are care about customer service.

Go for the Honda

I have looked into an ego mower but for the price its not worth it over the long haul. and ego mower at 699.00 vs a Honda mower at 699.00 will out last it and save big bucks over time. A battery for ego costs 399.00 and will have to be replaced over time where a Honda mower will only need a tune up. I don't understand why the whole mower costs 399.00 and the mower with a battery and charger is 699.00.

EGO 615 Leaf Blower

I purchased the EGO 615 Leaf Blower. The battery life diminished with every use after fully charged. Worse than anything was the customer service. I was happy to swap it out for the same product from Lowes, but I attempted to do this after 34 days (instead of less than 30 days). I was forced to use EGO's customer service who had me running my own battery tests. Ego does not stand by the product and Lowes should not be using them.

Ego Power Plus 765 cfm…

I purchased an Ego Power Plus 765 cfm leaf blower a year ago through Ace Hardware. Ace ordered it in and was very efficient in doing so.

The Ego leaf blower is as powerful as any of my previous gas blowers which lasted many years. The only issue is that, even with the larger battery, on maximum power it only lasts about 20-25 minutes which is barely enough to do my front yard (I have an acre). The battery recharges in about the same length of time as it discharges on full power. The answer would be to buy an additional battery, but these are $$$.

The only real negatives are the shoulder strap and the attachment point on the unit. It seems awkward to handle when the strap is over my shoulder so I don't use it. The other thing that is annoying is the constant on lever. It works great, but often when I am carrying it, my leg or sleeve brushes against the lever turning on the blower. A small, easily pushed lock button would prevent this. It is only a minor annoyance, however.

All-in-all I like this blower.

I purchased and Ego snow blower in…

I purchased and Ego snow blower in 2022. I used it 4 times with a total run time of 1-1/2 hours. One of the batteries was dead and would not charge. I called Ego customer service. Since I did not have my receipt any longer they went by the manufacture date on the battery which was from 2019. So that snow blower sat somewhere for 3 years before I purchased it. They said there was nothing they could do to help me. I had to purchase another battery because they wouldn't help me. I tried to go electric for various reasons, but never again. I will never buy and Ego product again. Is asking for a battery replacement too much to ask for? It's not like I used it a lot.

I have an Ego power 21 self propelled…

I have an Ego power 21 self propelled mower for personal use on .14 acre lawn.
Very disappointed the warranty for the mower is 5 years and I’ve already used that twice for faulty parts or parts that have gone bad.
On the other hand, the battery has a 3 year warranty from March 2021 and my battery went bad at 3years 7months and they would do nothing to help me. For a mower being close to $500 at the time of purchase with tax to have so many problems is crazy.
The mower it self cuts pretty well but struggles if you go to long in between mowing.
Maybe I got a faulty mower but for Ego not to even entertain helping at all is horrible.
Buyer beware.
