Brought a dishwasher in Feb 2021 and used it mostly on eco 50c setting every other day and it packed up last week 3 and half years old .

The cost of service engineer being called out to investigate costs more than a brand new machine.

Lack of customer support.

Faulty Electra washing machine just under 4 yrs old. Call-out + parts charge would be more than original cost of machine! Company does not offer qualified technical telephone support upon request which is a shame for all of us competent DIYers. Can only assume far more machines get scrapped than need be.

Awful

Awful! I bought an Electra gas cooker, the grill never worked properly; very difficult to switch on, then a few weeks into the puchase, I had to call out the engineer and he said it needed cleaning. The grill has always had problems switching on since. And the hobs aren't much better.

Electra Freezer purchased last week

Electra Freezer purchased last week. I looked all over it, inside and out, to find thermostat. I phoned up this morning to be told it is at the back of the freezer. How am I supposed to get to it without pulling the freezer out. That is impossible for me at my age and with a bad back! Not a happy bunny

Non existent customer service

My Electra dishwasher C1760WE was never great but recently the dishes have come out dirtier than they went in. Despite checking the stacking, the salt, the rinsing agent, the temperature and all the filters, it didn't get any better.
I rang their 'customer service' and was told that I would have to get an engineer out at the minimum cost of £182. I said 'I don't think I need an engineer. I need advice.' The answer was 'WE ARE NOT TECHNICALLY TRAINED. We just work on behalf of Electra. ELECTRA DOES NOT HAVE A CUSTOMER FACING SERVICE!!'
I asked the person if my only option was to purchase a new machine despite the old one still working and probably just needing a clean somewhere I hadn't thought of. She said no, you can have an engineer instead (but that will probaby cost more than a new machine).

Fire hazard quality.

Bought two ceramic hobs for two holiday lets. Both sets of connections fell apart during installation. The quality of the metal and surrounding plastic is so thin that these hobs should be considered a fire hazard. Broken parts all chopped out and replaced with good quality connections. Never again. They may be cheap but you might burn your home down with high current going through the connections. Electra you should hang your head in shame.

Knobs and oven door handles falling off…

Purchased 2 electra TCR60W freestanding cookers. Knobs and oven door handles falling off within 1 month of purchase.
Bought for food tech in a school. I get that they have a lot of use by students, but students are supervised and do not misuse the equipment, but to only last a month is really pretty bad. Contacted Electra and they don't want to know as not covered for "commercial use". Very low quality items.

Shambles!!

Honestly, the electra customer service team & engineers are awful. My washer door lock was faulty on the second use, leaving me unable to take my washing out of the machine. Phoned electra up who booked the engineer out. Turns out the lock was faulty on the machine. Said he’d send the report over the same day to issue a new washer. This was never sent over. After 3 weeks without a washer and constantly phoning and emailing to get this sorted it’s finally been done. Also Claire Nicholson is no help either as she disregards her emails with no support. Also speaking with a man in the phone he decided to hang up mid conversation. The companies a shambles and need some weeks of training. Monkeys can do a better job.

Electra Diswasher - hit and miss cleaning

Purchased an Electra dishwasher just over a year ago from AO. The first one delivered had a split in the drain pipe, and flooded my kitchen on the first use. AO replaced it. With the second dishwasher its now a lottery with regards to whether it cleans the dishes or not. And we are not talking difficult stains or dirt. Only this weekend it completely failed to clean a bowl that had yogurt in it. And it wasn't dried on yogurt, it was still wet. I have checked the main filter, the spray bars and the inlet, and they are all ok, no blockages.

Warranty not worth having the engineers…

Warranty not worth having the engineers are absolutely terrible on the first visit with my washing machine they where great but then my drum started to make a banging noise when on rinse so called Electra warranty they arranged an engineer to come out he fitted the new band on the drum but left a metal wire within the drum that was meant to go around the seal so I called them again to get this issue sorted and still waiting after 4 weeks , YES 4 weeks no washing machine , engineer cancelled twice due to illness - all I can suggest - DO NOT buy an Electra

I bought an electra hob 12 months and a day ago. From fitting there have been various, the hob switches off part way through cooking, randomly a hob won't work, it won't switch on at all, it has settled with only two hobs working. I have made 4 attempts to contact customer services for support. I tried remote support first but the barcode was not accepted on the site, I then called two times they would not accept the barcode on the hob as being an Electra product. Today they told me the warranty was a day out of date which is valid.

I got this new Electra 60cm…

I got this new Electra 60cm Freestanding Gas Cooker in November from AO. I'm 63 years of age so over the years have had various types of cookers. This is the Worst cooker I have ever used!! It burns all of the food and baking trays from underneath. I contacted AO and asked for a replacement but they said they would send an engineer out to inspect it. I explained that there was no point because of how the oven was configured. The flame of the oven comes from below the oven instead of at the back of the oven so consequently burns everything from underneath! As a reputable company I am surprised that AO continue to sell this product to their loyal customers and risk their good reputation it should be withdrawn from sale immediately. I shall continue to fight to get this useless product exchanged.....

warranty? a joke

Dishwasher purchased Jan 2023. The bottom basket is too small, so as you push it in, it collapses, tipping over all the contents. The door doesn't stay open so it shuts on me, as I fight to retrieve the pile of dishes and cutlery.
You ring the number on the warranty ( pacifica group) says you're being put through, then told 'can't take your call.' Almost a year now, the warranty expires soon. Fuming

Problem with brand new dishwasher

Problem with brand new dishwasher. Called customer services and was told I’m being put through to service desk twice but the call went nowhere. Finally got through to an automated options line which also didn’t work. Totally useless customer services. Will just send the crappy product back.
