What do I do now?
The vent is purchased has been stuck together with badly administered tap???? And does not insert into additional piece as mentioned in booket. What do I do now????? Each piece was recommended to purchase to attach the hob to external extractor and they do not fit?

Damaged Product and Box Upon Delivery
On September 25, 2025, I placed an order on the Elica online store. The order was delivered yesterday via DHL, and both the box and the product are extremely damaged.
Not only was the transportation careless, but the packaging by Elica also did not take into account the material being transported.
I immediately contacted Elica's official support, attaching photographic evidence of the damages. I received a response stating that they had received my request and that my reference number is [E134110C]. However, to date, I have not received any further response from Elica.

Although my experience with Elica was fantastic unfortunately the mesh filter was slightly too big for my extractor . My extractor is 18 years old and I am finding it impossible to get a mesh filter to fit it. I am away now so don’t know if it’s possible to return it when I come back in December.

Extremely Disappointed – $5,000 Cooktop Failed in 3 Years
I purchased an Elica Nikola Tesla 36" Induction Downdraft Cooktop in February 2022 for $4,859, expecting long-lasting quality from a premium appliance. On July 16, 2025, it completely stopped working.
Here’s what happened:
July 22: Service company diagnosed a failed main board ($155).
August 5: Elica sent a replacement board, but the cooktop still did not work.
August 11: Another repair company (recommended by Elica) determined 4 more parts are needed ($90 visit).
September: Quote for parts/labor/tax totaled $1,206, with no guarantee the unit will even be fixed.
I’ve repeatedly emailed Elica, but have received no response.
This $5,000 cooktop has been unusable for nearly two months, creating major disruption for my family. The lack of reliability and complete absence of customer support has been shocking.
A high-end product should last far longer than three years, and a reputable company should stand behind its products.

Elica replied asking me to “get in touch via their website,” but I have already done that many times. My case is Request ID #28280. My most recent email to Elica Customer Service was on September 10, 2025, and I still have not received a reply.
As of today, my $4,859 cooktop has been unusable for two months. I have already spent $245 on diagnostics, and now face a $1,206 repair estimate with no guarantee the unit will work. Elica has not offered reimbursement, meaningful support, or a real solution.
Buyers should be aware that despite its premium price, this product has proven unreliable and Elica has not stood behind it.
Updated October 8, 2025:
Still no meaningful response from Elica. The repair technician ordered four parts, but one — the main controller, which powers the entire cooktop — is backordered. It’s also visibly burnt out, indicating an internal short. As a result, we are still without a working cooktop, now nearly three months since this issue began.
This is completely unacceptable for a $4,859 appliance marketed as premium quality. Elica has not followed up, offered reimbursement, or taken responsibility for this ongoing failure.

ELICA Cooker Hood Grease Filter
Outstanding service! [Elica]made everything easy and stress-free. I couldn’t be happier and will definitely recommend them. I sourced the part on line(a cooker hood metal grease filter)prior to purchase I was able to check it was correct as the dimensions were provided along with an image. The part was sent from Italy with no issues, it arrived within a week, carefully packaged and undamaged.

Don’t buy from Elica - awful products
I would give zero stars if I could! What an awful company who sell shoddy products not fit for purpose at exorbitant prices. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired too. My advice buy a different brand, this company is shocking!! £129 for a cooker knob! I’m sorry that’s ridiculous. In their reply to my complaint they accused me of abusing the product! How dare they. If cooking on a cooking appliance is abuse then that proves their products are not fit for purpose.
