My experience was disappointing ,the…

My experience was disappointing ,the device would not change to English so that I could use it.
So far I haven't received a successful response.
Someone contacted me pretending to be with ellipal and pretended to restore my device.
They also asked for seed phrase.
So I discontinued the conversation.
It appeared to be a scam.
The callers number was 1 786-565-5278.
Ellipal needs to know about this if they are not aware.

Excellent customer service!

I had trouble getting the grids to unscrew using my own small standard head screwdriver. Complained to the company and they gave good advice about freezing the unit for 15 minutes, which did help. In the end they sent me another one only to have me realize there's a proper screwdriver included that worked perfectly. I only flaunt my ignorance to endorse the customer service I experienced.

I had an issue connecting my Titan 2.0 with the app after connecting with my X Card. Customer support replied to each email within 24 hrs and got the issues resolved promptly. This is by far the best cold storage wallet I’ve used. Great support, peace of mind, simple usage, with being air-gapped as the cherry on top. Highly recommended product.

Lost 5,350 XRP (€11,200) – serious software issues, no transparency, no accountability

On October 23, I lost 5,350 XRP (approximately €11,200) while using an Ellipal hardware wallet and its official software. This loss has had a severe personal and financial impact. I followed all security procedures exactly. My seed phrase was never shared, never photographed, never stored digitally, and never exposed.

After the incident, Ellipal immediately suggested vague explanations such as a “hacker” or “user error”, yet no evidence was ever provided. Despite repeated requests, Ellipal has refused to deliver any technical proof that my wallet was compromised externally.

What makes this situation deeply alarming is what I discovered afterward.

I uncovered what appears to be a major software and/or hardware flaw involving BIP44 derivation paths. The wallet software repeatedly generated different addresses for the same seed, without clear user action or explanation. This behavior is extremely dangerous for a product that claims to be a secure cold wallet.

To verify this, I escalated the matter seriously:
• I involved multiple independent forensic and blockchain analysis specialists
• I consulted cybercrime and technical experts
• I documented wallet behavior across time and data points

All independent parties reached the same conclusion:
there is no evidence of hacking, and the behavior points to a software-level issue, not user negligence.

Despite this:
• Ellipal refuses to acknowledge any software or firmware fault
• Ellipal provides no forensic report or reproducible technical explanation
• Ellipal continues to deflect responsibility to the user
• Ellipal offers no remediation, compensation, or escalation

The most disturbing part is the silence. If Ellipal truly believes a hack occurred, they could easily provide transaction analysis, device logs, or cryptographic proof. They have not done so.

As a result of this loss, my finances for the holidays are gone. I cannot even provide a normal Christmas for my family. This is not just a technical failure — it has real human consequences.

In my opinion, anyone currently using an Ellipal device should be extremely cautious. A hardware wallet must be transparent, predictable, and verifiable. When something goes wrong, denial without evidence destroys trust.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Ellipal to anyone who values the safety of their crypto or expects accountability when serious issues arise.

The ELLIPAL cold wallet is designed to remain fully offline at all times, with private keys never exposed to any network. We have found no technical evidence indicating abnormal address derivation or remote compromise of the cold wallet.

2. Regarding the claim that law enforcement or third-party authorities have concluded that an ELLIPAL hardware vulnerability was involved, we have not received any official or verifiable documentation to support this.
Should any law enforcement or regulatory authority contact us directly, we will fully cooperate and provide all relevant technical information available to us.

3. The background of this incident, along with our investigation process and conclusions, has been explained in detail in our prior email correspondence.
If there are remaining questions or additional technical details to review, we encourage continued communication through our official support channels.

So if your knew to crypto…be very careful when setting thus up.

So I am kind of knew at crypto technology but not unfamiliar with computers as I have a degree in MIS. I must say the crypto field has its own language. Not coding language but just terms. Ex.. hot wallet and cold wallet. A glossary of all crytpo terms broken Down, so simple, would really help. A FEW things that are confusing...are...does a memo need to be added to each transfer from orher sites.? Im transfering from the robin hood platform. Do I need a memo ? From my hood account to my ellipal account....the 24 word seed password, I have only set it up once. I have never had to use it since. Every transaction only asks for a qr code or a copied url address.....not password. The equipment, works great. Its just flipping from one app back another and then back again becomes a pain. I still have no idea what the equipment is called...a cold wallet ? I have a credit card looking thing, cold wallet credit card? No idea.....again...basics...basics basics. The maker of this device should not be selling it to anybody like me. People, purchasers, really should have extremely well trained reps that sell this to you for a reasonable charge including training. Train you and let you go. Its to dangerous for just anyone to work with. A lot of money can and will be lost, no doubt. Becareful.

A personal cold wallet uses a unique wallet address that belongs only to you, not a shared exchange address.Each transaction is sent directly to your address, so the system does not need a tag to identify the recipient.

If the receiving address is a personal wallet (not an exchange), most exchanges do not require a Destination Tag.
You can safely leave the Tag field empty, or if the platform requires a value, enter “0”.

⚠️ Important safety tip:
We strongly recommend sending a small test amount first. Once you confirm it arrives successfully, you can proceed with the full transfer.

Additionally, the card-like device you mentioned is the ELLIPAL X Card, which is also a cold wallet. As long as your recovery seed phrase has not been exposed, your assets will always remain safe.

I didn't find out about the hot wallet…

I didn't find out about the hot wallet cancellation until after Oct 31st. Since then, I have been trying to get answers on transferring back to a cold wallet. The information is vague, and I have questions being a novice. I've sent emails to customer support and I got crickets. It's too easy lose your crypto and I don't want to make a mistake but there's no help. They make an across-the-board decision with little to no guidance.

I've had this cold wallet for several…

I've had this cold wallet for several months now and after the initial setup I haven't had a single issue. When I first bought the wallet I had kind of an older smartphone, a Nokia x100, and that's not exactly the best phone. So the phone itself was causing setup issues. I just had to reset up my cold wallet because I got a Google 10 Pro XL and it could not have been quicker to reset up the device. But the device itself is absolutely awesome and I 100% would buy one again.
