Do NOT purchase anything from elspet

Do NOT purchase anything from elspet. If you have any issue, they only send automated responses. I emailed requesting a return label. I sent them photos and everything they requested previous to asking for the label. For three days now- they’ve offered me $30, $50, and $60 back but will not send anything so I can return it. Do not waste your money.

Unit arrived as promised and looked great, and that's where the positivity ends. The product never worked from the start. Customer service was slow to respond and when they did, I needed to do the repairs. What they sent us and the instructions provided did not work and they continued delay in exchanging or crediting. Shocking customer service

Shocking customer service, 90 day return is a lie. I am still trying to return after 21 days and used once. It's like new and the guarantee is a waste of time. It's now 7 months later!!!! STAY AWAY

Stopped working after 2 weeks

This litter box stopped working after 2 weeks. I have been talking to them for two months, sending videos, pictures and they’ve sent me 6 sensors I replaced. It still does not work and they offered me only a $30 refund for a warranty covered machine, they refuse to send a new one or fix this one unless I ship it to them for a $150 shipping fee.

Read everything closely on the website, they reserve the right to not refund you or fix your machine.

I used to have a litter robot for six years and had excellent customer service, if you’re going to splurge on one I highly recommend them. I ultimately lost $400 for this crap machine!

No warranty on this product

Beware of #ElsPet automatic cat litter boxes. Order placed on 11 August 2024, arrived very promptly around the 17 August 2024, and stopped working 2-weeks later. Not had it a month, not working, customer service useless. No replacement, no refund and want me to repair it myself with parts they are proposing to send to me. No recourse if they are faulty. I would give it zero stars but that is not an option. AVOID THIS PRODUCT. It is GB£ 370.00 for something that has no warranty or guarantee. AVOID!

I bough this litter box a few months…

I bough this litter box a few months ago and everything seemed to be working okay, but then the litter box started having issues. The rake would not go through the litter and would just get stuck. I tried everything that the website recommended. After several attempts I reached out to customer service and they said that they would not refund or return it because it was outside the 90 days although I am confused because it says they have a 12 month refund window. The lady from customer service said they would send me a new sensor, but I have never seen one. I am frustrated at how much this cost and how little they will do to help me out.

Please read the reviews before you buy this. I wish I did. They are refusing to give me a refund. I have emailed them 10 time, each time trying to not accept the return. They mentioned something about A 5% labor commission and service charge based on my order total value. The cat litter box is dangerous to cats. I wouldn't even give it away for free. They have offered me £15 to keep the items free when I bought it for £350. I haven't even opened the parcel or use it. They don't deserve even 1 star!!!!. I just wish I read the reviews on Trust pilot.

This is by far THE WORST product as well as Customer Service that I’ve ever dealt with! I bought 3 of these boxes and have had trouble with 2 of them now! The worst thing about this whole thing is that even after buying 3 boxes from this company (I bought 2 for my babies & 1 for my friend) and I’ve gotten nothing but a run around from their Customer Service for an entire month! The only thing I asked for was to exchange the defective cat box for one that actually works! I wasn’t even asking for my money back! After begging this company for a month to please exchange the box for one that works & having them refuse to exchange the defective box they’ve instead sent me “sorry for your inconvenience” e-mails, & have continued to draw this whole ordeal out for a month, which I highly believe is to draw out the 90 Day Warranty, so they don’t have to honor it! I finally had enough & have now turned ELSPET into the ATTORNEY GENERAL for FRAUD!!!!! This company DOES NOT stand behind their product or put their paying customers first! Instead, they make it literally impossible to exchange one of their defective cat boxes for one that actually works! I told them after I had had enough of their games that I would just like them to send me a PDF so I could send the cat box back & they could just send my money back to me & we could then just part ways & I was then sent an e-mail telling me that I would be paying $150+ to ship it back to them, because THAT’S MY RESPONSIBILITY! This is beyond unbelievable! The box itself is awful! The box has a very strong urine smell (even tho I clean it constantly) & I have to clean the waste box in the back of the box several times a day, which their add claims u don’t have to worry about cleaning it for at least 30 days! If you didn’t clean it several times a day, the smell would be even worse & the litter would literally spill out the back of the box!!! These people are such liars!!! The urine soaked litter as well as feces also gets stuck on the rake which is also now something that’s broken on the box that’s still somewhat working, it now wont go up into position so I can remove it to clean it. I just want to warn anybody that thinks they need this product to go elsewhere because you’ll be sorry if you buy from these people! I wrote this review & put it on ELSPET but it’s nowhere to be found!!!! I also give ELSPET a ZERO rating! The one rating I gave is waaaaay too much & they DON’T deserve even that!!!
I just received another e-mail from ELSPET after telling them that I’ve turned them into the Attorney General to have them investigated for fraud & they’re now telling me that “after talking to the Mgr, they’ve decided to give me a one time refund of $30 USD!” That’s right, a $30 refund on a $569.99 defective product that I still have to send back to them for $150+ USD!!!! WHAT A BARGAIN!!!! LOL!

Horrible company, chargebacks are the only option

Decided to chargeback with credit card company. Item arrived defective upon unboxing, boxed it back up and requested a return; they wanted a video (not part of the return policy) and they want to charge $150 to ship it back. Went back and forth for 2 weeks (and counting) so I said screw it and started a chargeback. Stay FAR away from this trash company.

Unresponsive Seller - Avoid at All Costs!

I recently had a very frustrating experience with Eslpet. After purchasing an item, I contacted them within 2 hours, to request cancellation exercising my consumer rights and 14 day cooling off period. Initially, they responded, but as soon as I made it clear that I wanted to cancel and refund for the item, they went completely silent and have been offline ever since. Despite multiple attempts to reach out, they have ignored all my messages.

To make matters worse, I never even received the packag. The parcel is now being returned to the sender, leaving me without both the product and my money.

I have documented proof of my communication attempts and the ongoing return process, yet Elspet has made no effort to resolve the situation. Their blatant disregard for customer service and their refusal to honor a refund request are unacceptable.

It’s worth noting that there’s a Facebook group called "Scammed by Eslpet," which suggests that I’m not alone in experiencing these issues. Unfortunately, this points to a pattern of behavior that seems to indicate they may be operating as scammers.

I would strongly advise others to avoid doing business with Eslpet. Their behavior is unprofessional, and they do not seem interested in resolving issues once they have your money. Save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere.

Utter Garbage

Utter Garbage. I paid £700 for two of these neither worked out of the box. I tried to return the products and they gave me the run around for months and eventually ignored me. I tried to get PayPal to intervene but they wanted me to return the products to Hong Kong (even they shipped from a U.K. location) and the return shipping would have cost as much as the product. It’s cheap Chinese plastic junk with company run by thieves, don’t trust them and don’t buy from them.

Would not give even one star if that…

Would not give even one star if that was an option. This machine is not worth the money. I purchased this at the end of May so i have had it 2.5 months. When it came, took awhile to set up. The buttons on the side worked. This lasted 3 weeks and then stopped working. I was still using it via the app until 2 weeks ago when it all stopped working. I did everything i could find in various videos online and nothing.
I have tried to call, leaving 2 voice mails and i tried to use online chat. Always get the message that all customer service reps are busy but someone will get back with me. No one ever has. Returning it is not an option as all of the fees to do so means you end up with no money.
In looking in the facebook group, scammed by elspet, it is disgusting to see how many people are in the same boat
