After using this for about six months, I finally unplugged it and put it in the garage. It is much more trouble than it's worth. I have to scrape down the inside after my two cats use it to pee because the teeth do not scrape up the wet litter. Then I have to run it through a manual cycle. The guard that hangs down in front of the collection tray kept coming off. The red Styrofoam things on the inside kept coming out. Replacing them was disgusting because they were always wet. The step with the grid on it kept getting filled with urine, so I had to constantly take it outside and hose it down. The blue "Ultraviolet" light did nothing to control the smell. Finally, the teeth started to break, I would find them in the collection pan. Over time , it got increasingly louder. This was a terrible waste of money. I really expected it to be almost maintenance free, and that is definitely not the case.

I bought this cat litter tray with all the expectations of its solving my scooping poo‘s for my cat fortunately the machine malfunction the door wouldn’t close and therefore it couldn’t scoop and to be honest with you I still had to scoop because the rake doesn’t go lower enough to scoop right to the bottom of the litter anyway fortunately, I bought this malfunctioning litter box through Amazon which was a blessing because they had to refund and I haven’t quite got my money back yet but it’s in the pipeline. I also had to pay £45.58 return delivery costs they give you a post office label which you have to pay the postage but unfortunately this item is too big to send through the post office. I used parcel heroes and they were marvellous. I gave them a five star review. Do I recommend this automatic litter tray? And would I buy another one? I’m just hoping that the one that I’ve got left lasts a little while when it does decide to malfunction I also bought it through Amazon and hopefully it will give me some rights into recuperating my money. I hope you find this review helpful and go buy another one, not this one

If I could rate this zero stars, I would. Has been broken for months. I bought it in Feb 2023 and was not working properly at all, then stopped completely in November 2023. I bought the extended warranty also. They originally told me in an email that they would replace my unit. Then they said they wouldn’t and told me I had to fix it myself with instructions via You Tube video and parts they promised to send me. Or, they’d pay me $20. I have told them in multiple emails to send the parts and they have not. I have left several phone messages and nobody will return my call. So, I spent $500 on a giant plastic junk box. Don’t waste your money because they don’t back up their product.

Do not buy from them.
They have no number, 0 customer service, hide their comments on social media. Save yourself the money

Save your email because this piece of junk didn't work properly. The email from them 12 days ago with no response. Finally got a live person and they told me if I didn't have the order number they couldn't help me.. I said I have my credit card statement. The lady said still can't help.. I had to laugh and told her what company can't cross reference the credit card to the order or just understand there was an issue... BS BS BS... dispute the charge won't be a problem I will have a free piece of crap that won't work but the cats can still use... and for free.. thank u els scam pet for the free over glorified litter box

I got the litter box and it's a piece of junk. I contacted them and told them I wanted to return it and they told me It would cost me 50.00 and shipping to return. No where on the website does it say I have to pay 50.00 in addition to the shipping.

This company lacks everything called quality.I could only communicate with customer service via email.No live customer service .Absolutely nothing worked except the ON blue light.This box is a piece of garbage.To return it, I would have to make a video troubleshooting Troubleshooting what? Nothing works.How do you video a box which does nothing but sit there. No functioning.I would also have to pay shipping.This is a China company.I should have known they do not stand by their product.They are laughing at our stupidity at this minute.

Setting it up was harder than I expected because I kept missing the "click" when I was doing the step, but after that, it has been great! 3 cats and this has been a lifesaver! I bought it because I moved into a 1 floor home and had to put the liter box on the main floor and I was worried about the smell - you wouldn't even know I have cats now unless you see one!

DO NOT BUY! This is a very expensive scam! 500$ for a litter box that quit working in a month if that! You will not be able to contact customer service! If you’re lucky you can get an email from them saying the same things over and over!! Litter box quit working in June 20, 2024 and today is July 5, 2024 and I’m still receiving troubleshooting emails which I’ve already done and I did video the troubleshooting showing that it did not work! I watched YouTube videos on how to fix it! The rake is stuck in position and will not rake the inside to get the waste where it needs to be. If you read other customers reviews they have the same problem. Is there anything else I can do to get my money back or get this fixed? I’m open to options here! I had a self cleaning litter box already and bought this one because it was enclosed. I wish I had read the reviews here instead of on the ELSPET website! This is buyer’s remorse at its best!!!! I’ve read where I can make a consumer complaint through the Attorney General’s Office. I guess this is my next step! If anyone has any suggestions please share!!

This is the absolute WORST customer service company I have EVER had to deal with. The minute I got the litter box and set it up, it never worked. I sent multiple videos in, pictures, emails, phone calls, to no avail. All I received back, if anything, was an auto-generated email telling me I had too much or too little cat litter, the sensors are blocked, the waste bin is full, etc. My problem was the rake either was not attached in there, or never came down. It is impossible to get into the box to see. Therefore, they never watched my videos, at all. All I want at this point is to get this spaceship out of my house!

It took a little while to get it and the set up was a little harder than I thought, but that was mostly my fault. I pulled the bottom part out too far before looking at the instructions. Now that it is set up, I LOVE it!!! The litter doesn't have that awful stink that most litter does and it is so nice not to have to scoop any more. I was worried my cats would be afraid of it, but they have taken to it well.

The Elspet was fairly easy to put together once I put on my magnifying glasses. Instructions were very small on the enclosed cards but the booklet was readable.
It scoops well and my cats enjoy the light show. the collection container is a bit small so I keep a good eye on the amount deposited. It is very easy to change the bags however they could be designed so that there was the ability to tie the bag. If the container is full there is no way to tie the bag so I transfer their aromatic deposits to another larger bag so that I can take it to the trash.
The only other comment is that it is not easy to use the app if you have a 5G internet. I would definitely order another one.

More detailed instruction about putting this together. The red guards inside the box needs improvement as I consistently have to fix mine. I have reviewed the instructions to these on how to put them in 100 times. More information and instructions on how close to the WiFi the litter box needs to be.

It is unbelievable that a company can get away with this type of scam. My experience is like everyone else’s:
-received the item without a problem.
-decided it was too big for my space. Also, the blue light wasn’t turning on anyway; nevertheless, the item did not fit my space.
-emailed back and forth several times. I was VERY clear with what I wanted: a return receipt so I can send it back for a refund.
-they stopped emailing me back. The last email was that it would not be economical for me to return it since it’s expensive and they will not pay for the return. I told them I wanted the return slip anyway. I never received it.
-I called the company and had to leave a voicemail. They have not returned my call.
-the monster-sized box sits in my garage. I will not sell it because I believe it’s a faulty product and I wouldn’t do that to someone else.
-a $300 loss

My cat loves it and so do we.
No mess and no smell. Works great.

I received the product and after doing everything that was requested, they will not offer a refund. They offered a $15.00 refund on a $285.00 purchase. I split my wi-fi to accommodate the settings and it did not work. I sent videos and of course they can't retrieve them. Still no resolution. I would never buy form them again.

I love this litter box!!! I have 5 cats and have to change the bag once every other day. I have the litter box right in my living room and guests are shocked because they can’t smell it!! I have fibromyalgia and a slew of other issues that made scooping so hard for me and with this l don’t have to do that. I have found at times you may need to use s long litter scoop and loosen anything that has stuck to the bottom and that makes it work great. I love my new litter box and so do my cats. Especially my 20lb boy. He enjoys a clean box and this makes him so happy!!!

Received the Elspet quickly, set up was easy! I was leery that my cat wouldn't take to it being a strange looking dome in place of his litter box. He took to it the first day!!! My life has changed since I received the Elspet!!! Highly recommend!!

I love this litter box so much!! Once I got used to how it works it’s wonderful!! It sits in my living room and I’ve never smelled anything from it!! I had two cats using it but now I only have one using it. It the best thing I could have bought. I was having a really hard time cleaning out my old litter box. I’ve had 2 back surgeries and 1 neck surgery and it was getting really hard to bend over or sit and get up to clean the box. This has changed my cats life and my life in so many ways!! My cat just loves it. After it cleans itself my cat will go in and lay down and sleep. LOL I know that it’s not a bed but she never felt that comfortable in the other box. Plus I don’t have to worry about the door locking her in!’ It’s just an all around awesome box!!

It’s soooo convenient!! I hated scooping out my cat’s litter box everyday. Plus the smell. I have two females; one 5 years old and the other 2.
I bought the Els pet litter box, at a little over $500, two years ago. The cats adapted to it immediately without problems. They would get weird about it cleaning but now it’s unnoticeable. The thing still works like a charm.
Im so lazy that I only change the litter box when it starts stinking. All I have to do is change the waste bag in the back whenever there’s a hint of smelly waste. And replacing the litter is simple. The pan removes out so you can wash it outside if needed.
That being said the minor issues I’ve had was the marking in the inside of the man fades away. I accidentally bought some new liners that has the minimum and maximum marking of litter for the pan. I was initially trying to by more waste bags for the litter box.
All in all, I really couldn’t live without my cats and this product enhanced them living inside the house without the pungent odors. Thank you ElsPet.🥲
